CHAPTER 9 – NIGHT
I'm Alvin Gray, a college student who got summoned here in this fantasy world alongside other people from different places, and today, they are going to monitor me tonight and I don't have a clue about it.
Later at night, I and the girls ate dinner in the lobby of the inn. This inn is 'really' famous. I mean there are way too many people here in the lobby. Is this Inn really that famous for their foods or because it's capital?
Well as for me, After a good dinner, I decided to do my usual stargazing tonight.
"Looks like everyone is sleeping."
"Night is sure enchanting.", As I look at the moon. I remember, back at home I always used to look at the moon at night whenever I was having some problem.
Just like this when everyone falls asleep. I used to sneak to the rooftop of my house while not disturbing my family. Believe me, if you are having some problem and unable to sleep at night just look at the moon for a while in the middle of the night.
It is relaxing enough that you will slowly forget about your stress.
"Let's go down there.", down at a distance, I saw someone's horse at the stable of the inn trying to break out from there.
I jumped out of the window of my room.
"I knew it, Due to my high stats I don't feel anything even jumping from the second floor."
Anyway, looking back at the horse, one who was trying to break out.
"What happened buddy, why are you trying to break out?". The horse who is still trying to break out of this stable backed off a bit and lower his head. It almost seems like he is asking for help.
"I guess, you really don't want to stay with your master."
I helped the horse by releasing him and allowing him to escape.
At that moment when the horse ran out of the stable, suddenly stopped at a distance and looked back at me like he is thankful for the help.
What a weird horse. Phew… Let's pretend I was never here.
"Bye, I also need to get out of here before anyone notices me."
"But I think I can still watch the night sky from somewhere else.", I somehow climbed all the way to the roof of the inn.
As I am laying on the roof and stargazing. I didn't know the girls were monitoring me all this time back from the room.
"Did he just release someone else's horse? And he didn't even think twice."
Sigh…
"Well, he even jumped from here like it was nothing. What do you think Emma? Can we also jump? Our stats are also high from the average person."
"I don't know... I think there won't be a problem. Well, Cho, you are right! He really doesn't sleep at night."
"I still have to spend the whole night just looking at the moon. I wonder why I can't sleep?"
I don't know for sure but is this some type of another side effect from the system? Instead of feeling sleepy while lying down and looking at the night sky. I somehow feel more alive or should I say energetic in the middle of the night.
"SYSTEM OPEN STATUS SCREEEN."
"My own level and status look like I am using someone else's body/avatar.", Looking at my status I have ten AP. So, I can also increase my stats?
Wait, I think I can't do that because of the level limiter. In the first place, I don't even know my original level.
It would be good if I know more about this system.
"It shows that I am a high human, not just regular human but a high human. At this rate, I can't find anything if there is this Level Limiter. Should I just give the system permission to alter my body?"
"What worse can happen? "
Hmm…
Never mind, I will do that later!
Wait, if it's like game then,
"INVENTORY",
Why didn't I try it before? If there is an inventory it would have made our traveling easier.
Sigh… There are even three items here already.
First, a robe icon, second looks like a sword but the third item is a mystery, I can't identify it at all.
An Unidentified Item in my inventory…interesting.
"It just says question mark. It would have been great if the system provide some other information."
Even the first and the second icons have weird item names.
"What do you even mean by Death Robe and Death Sword."
Let's get back inside my room.
[Later in the Morning.]
"Hey Alvin, did you sleep well?", Emma approached me as I got out of my room.
Why is she asking about it? And why do you even have a bag under your eyes?
"Hey Alvin, oh you are already awake.", Cho exits the room while yawning. Did she have a bad dream or something? I don't think she also slept well.
"Hey everyone! Good Morning.", Sakura also get out of her room while listening to all this talk. She looks more tired than others.
Wth, What's with these girls? Did they have trouble sleeping also??
We took our breakfast in the lobby of the Inn.
"Let's go look for some easier requests at Adventurer Guild today. You guys look tired today."
It seems that everyone agreed to my suggestion. I guess they are really tired. I hope you guys don't sleep in the middle of the request.
I and the girls walk out of the inn after completing breakfast.
"Where is my damn Horse? It's gone all of a sudden. What am I supposed to do now?"
Looks like someone is freaking out there. I wonder what happened to his horse…
Well, someone forget to take good care of his horse…
Looking at the sky today,
"What a nice sunny day, Today's weather is good too. Let's earn some money today."
