Because of what Nada knew about something that was written back in the book right on page D, of course, her heart became restless. Now her brain presents new thoughts which of course lead in a bad direction.
She didn't care at all what would happen to her she had already given up on the matter this time. But, she couldn't imagine the pain of being abandoned by the person she loved the most. Moreover, the death of her lover a few days ago was the most traumatic thing for her.
It's not easy to forget the most loved person in life, but when death has separated her, all she can do is let it go and carry on with life.
"Damn, I can't sleep."
Nada straightened up on the bed, she leaned her back against the headboard. She took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly.
Nada no longer heard strange and scary words, nor did she think of the otherworldly being in the mirror.
But what Nada thought was… the threat from page D in the book, was unsettling.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!"
Nada's eyes were wide awake, and at the same time, she widened her eyes at the scream. It was a deafening scream and made her jump out of bed immediately.
It was his mother's scream. Sweat dripping from her temples, she again remembered her mother's screams with what was said in the book on page D.
It sounds ridiculous because Nada and Bela don't have a special close relationship like mother and daughter. However, for some reason, Nada was worried about her stepmother.
Nada immediately ran out of the room. She descended the stairs one by one in a hurry, fortunately, her steps were very agile and didn't make her slip.
Nada reached the wall near the kitchen, coincidentally she was not wearing footwear so her steps were not too heavy.
Before approaching Bela and seeing what was happening, Nada chose to hide her body behind a wall.
"You old bastard, what a hassle. Why faint? I don't know how to get you off the floor."
Nada started to maintain her sight, then covered her mouth with her hand when she saw the object that was slumping weakly on the floor. "DADDY?!" She also shouted, then ran towards them.
Bela who heard that turned to the source of the voice. "So lucky you came, come help me to lift your father to the sofa."
Not listening to Bela's orders, Nada first checked how her father was. What's more, now Mike passed out, adding to her worry which also caused more sweat on her forehead.
"Dad, daddy... wake up." With a soft voice, Nada slightly patted Mike's cheek in turn. Her eyes also showed that she was very worried, even almost crying if Bela didn't scold her anymore.
"Are you deaf or what? Quickly help lift your father onto the sofa, you want me to curse you harshly?!"
Nada frowned because she felt Bela's voice was too high for her, actually she was angry at her stepmother for being too rude to her, even though Mike was beside them. Even though her father was now unconscious, Bela might still be gentle with her.
"Yes, I will help you."
Since she didn't want to fight with Bela, Nada naturally agreed with what her mother said. She decided to get up from the floor, then started to support her father's head and looked at Bela as if giving a signal that she was ready to pick up her father.
Bela, who understood the meaning of Nada's gaze, was immediately moved to take over and lift Mike's body even more because she was sure that the woman who was now his son was not strong enough to lift the weight of a man's body.
They started to carry Mike towards the sofa even though with unsteady steps because the male bodyweight is bigger, it seems they are now working together to return Mike's body to a comfortable position.
As Mike's body lay on the sofa, Bela wiped her sweaty forehead. "Why have not you gone to sleep yet?" She asked Nada.
"I can't sleep."
"Why? You think of me who has been a slave all day because of your actions of being treated like a royal princess?"
Nada chose silence, it was better to be silent than to speak but what she said was wrong.
"Tomorrow you will spend time with your father, better go to sleep soon."
"Eh?" Nada heard it was like hearing a mortal miracle before. Is it true that what is caught by the sense of hearing?
"Why? Go back to your room," Bela said again. She felt uncomfortable being in the same room as Nada, unaccustomed and feeling that they were two strangers.
Nada shook her head. First, he wanted to know what happened to her father. "Why did dad pass out? Please answer," she asked with sparkling eyes as if she was going to cry.
Mike wasn't usually careless in his actions, even if her father fainted there must be a reason.
Bela sighed and shook her head. "I don't know, you better go to your room." She replied while turning her face from Nada to Mike, who was still closing her eyes.
Nada snorted, then get up from her seat. "Don't forget to compress my father's forehead with warm water, or give wind oil to get better." She said.
She was worried, but what Bela said and the look in the woman's eyes annoyed her. And yes, of course, she would prefer to leave them and leave Bela to take care of Mike.
What Nada knows is that Bela only loves Mike, not herself who is considered a parasite. Even though without her blessing on Mike who wants to remarry, it is likely that Bela and Mike will never unite.
Nada moved towards the bathroom on the ground floor, she entered and intended to wash her face because the drowsiness never attacked. Maybe she needs refreshment even if it's just by washing her face.
She had completely forgotten that she was trying to avoid the mirror, and now she had stopped near the sink.
"Today feels long. Well, tomorrow I'll have a nice day with dad."
Nada slightly bowed and her face lowered, she began to wash her face and felt the fresh sensation she was looking for.
"Sigh, refreshing. I feel energized again. Maybe I'll go to sleep soon after this," she mumbled. She let the water run down her face.
Feel good. Nada lifted her face because she also intended to reach for a tissue to wipe the water droplets on her face.
However, the deg ... Nada's heart seemed to stop beating. When she lifted her face and looked in the mirror, at that very moment she came face to face with the 'creature' she was desperately avoiding.
Nada's face turned deathly pale and swallowed hard.
"We meet again, Nada."
