Chereads / Lost Soul : Demon Hunt (About The Mirror) / Chapter 23 - Looking for Various Information

Chapter 23 - Looking for Various Information

A tiring day for a student like Alex who is now ready with his nightgown, just a plain white t-shirt with the most comfortable boxer shorts.

Several hours together with Nada made many puzzles return and develop each other in the memory of his brain.

He was curious, he wanted to see what Nada saw. It sounded like he was going to die, but to hell with it all, he didn't want this terrible incident to happen to more people, much less leave a case that was never resolved.

"Arghh, why does it feel unsettled?" Alex decided to change his lying position to sitting on the bed and took the book his mother had given him that he had deliberately placed on the bedside table.

Come on, he wants to solve what no one else, not even a detective, can solve.

Alex insisted, and now began to lay in his lap the book with each page having a yellow dot on it, you can guess how long this book had been kept neatly.

"What language is this written in the book? Ancient Rome? Or what? I can't read it."

There are some writings written in letters that make it difficult for Alex to read because he has not studied them in his life.

Writing with a black pen, a red pen seems to have different meanings resulting from different pen colors.

'A soul that is not calm, will invite the souls that are still alive to travel together'

"And what does that mean?"

'Evil creatures eat human souls and leave their bodies tightly tucked away in the mirror world'

'A trapped human body will be a mouthwatering meal for all soul-seeking beings'

'Mirror world, full of puzzles'

Alex raised an eyebrow. He didn't understand exactly what 'their bodies were tightly tucked away in the mirror world'.

Is it true that the human body is left alive while the soul is taken? Then? What Nada told about that woman… isn't it the same as if the soul has left the body, there is no life?

Wait a minute, okay Alex is doubly dizzy with this problem.

Alex turned to the next page, and he found several black and white sheets of pictures of keys hanging on a necklace.

Sharpening his eyes, he seemed to have seen the necklace before. However, he forgot where he saw it.

"Shit, why is my memory so bad?" And in the end, Alex gave up on thinking about the things he had forgotten.

Alex read the explanatory sentence.

"Demon key, wow what a scary key name." He made some comments about what he read. "The demon key is a key that only the 'ruler' has that revives all beings in the mirror, making them aggressive and thirsty for human souls."

Alex gasped, he blinked a few times. "Meaning? Who has this key, he must be the cause of all the scary things? If true, he must have sinned a lot." he said in an annoyed voice, surely everyone would be annoyed if they found out the truth like this.

"Using this demonic key makes it easy for the 'owner' to enter the mirror world and can control the soul that becomes savage. Even if there are people who are not their soul targets, if they have this key, they can see what the target has been seeing."

Alex's eyes sparkled, he seemed to get enlightenment and also a solution to a very, very complicated problem.

"So, if I have a necklace with the key, do I have a chance to blacklist Nada from targeting that disgusting creature?"

At first, Alex's hopes of fighting were dashed because he had never seen anything Nada saw. But now he seemed to have a way out knowing something could help him.

Alex turned the next page, after which he could see the image of the creature. How does it look, shape, and appearance? Very bad.

What is depicted in the book that Alex is looking at is a sinister figure, a muscular body, but no head. There is also a man with shoulder-length hair that looks disheveled, carrying a chain in his right hand because his left hand is severed, his leg is injured, and the center of his forehead is hollow showing a throbbing brain.

Also, many other figures make Alex's stomach queasy.

"Seriously? Every time I look in the mirror I see all these disgusting figures? I feel like throwing up my guts."

Alex's brain was deep in thought, he put the ancient book from his lap beside him. He moved to pick up the laptop that was on the study table, next to the bed he was currently sitting on.

Opened a Google search to find out some information about the missing person case right at Nada's house, he just wanted to know some reasons why the case was always closed without success.

His fingers danced across the keyboard, his eyes still sharp. Not to forget, his gaze is also serious when he stares at the laptop screen which is now witnessing similar news from year to year.

One Person Disappears Year after Year, in the same place.

Why is the case always closed?

Not having a way out and enlightenment to what happened.

POLICE DON'T BELIEVE THERE ARE STATEMENTS OF CRIME BEHIND THE MIRROR.

BEWARE, GHOST HOUSE.

But, why is it still rented? Why is it still used as a residence?

Alex read several titles, some were written in capslock and some were in plain capital letters that could make him think hard and frown in confusion.

It is natural for the police to close this case because there is no evidence at all, especially since some people don't believe in mystical events.

For example, in the past, Alex had never believed in what he thought was so ridiculous and impossible to exist. But when he saw it in person, seeing Nada who looked stressed even though at the moment didn't have a big impact on her mentality, he believed that mystical things could be the cause of several accidents, including cases of people's deaths.

He kept moving the laptop cursor to scroll through the screen, reading every piece of information he could get his hands on. Information? Even now everything he reads is bullshit.

"I should have summoned a psychic, wasn't an act like this done a long time ago?"

Alex nodded his head, it seemed he had a lot of plans, but to solidify a plan one had to have a mature intention and carry it out seriously.

"Okay, when it's time for me to act as a detective... but regardless, I need to sleep first to recover my energy and also have college tomorrow."

Better to stop and think, Alex, rearranged the things on his bed to make it more flexible and comfortable for sleeping.

"Hopefully Nada also sleeps well tonight and at least nothing bothers her again, maybe? Yes, hopefully, tomorrow will be better than today and before."
