Clara’s POV
The sound of running water was soothing, but the migraine that coursed through my head was not. Groaning softly I forced my eyes to open and it took a moment for me to realize the situation I was in.
The darkness of the forest surrounded me, but the sound of running water echoed through that darkness. As my eyes adjusted to my surroundings I noticed the chains at my wrists that shackled to the large gray rocks I was attached to. In the distance the glow of the morning sun shown behind the dark mountain tops.
“What the hell?” I groaned again from the throbbing in my head.
“Well, good morning gorgeous.” Turning my head slowly I came face to face with a man I had only seen once before– Jeremy.
“Jeremy? What the h*ll is going on?” I already knew the truth of what was going on, but what I didn’t understand was what I did to this man for him to want to kidnap me.
