I wasn’t sure what I was expecting when Helen brought the rest of my pack to Stone Pack’s territory. Perhaps, I was being too optimistic in believing that everyone was going to get along.
The line of people crossing the border looked around with curiosity and mumbled words. They weren’t pleased, and I could feel their anxiety over the command given by their Alpha.

Their lost and weary eyes scanned over the members of Stone Pack that had gathered to see everyone arriving. It was a strange occurrence, even in a prosperous pack, to see people coming in such a large capacity. It hadn’t happened in a very long time.
“Everyone has come, but there are those who are still wary of the situation,” Helen said as I watched my beta talking to the new arrivals—the remnants of my pack.
“I know.”
There wasn’t much to do but to get ready for the ceremony that was to take place.
