Balin seemed pretty sad that the book series came in at random times but he understood.
Little did he know he might meet the author in a few days. He sighed as he walked home stopping by a small shop that sells bread. "I'll take 1 large loaf please. " balin said to the shop keeper. "Oh, sure i want expecting you here so late, your Normally earlier." The man said while getting his bread. As the man hands balin the bread he tells balin the price. " That's 10 chips please." [ Side note: Chips are the elven currency it's ratio to human coins is 1 chip is as much as 3 silver coins.]
Balin handed him the chips and went home. As he entered his house he said aloud "I'm home and I got some bread." Taking his shoes off by the door and walking into his house. His father came in and told him to low his voice a bit because his other dad Devlin was asleep.
His father then asked him " Where have you been? I know the library, but all day?" Balin replied with a nod still wondering on how the story would end. "What Books have you read today?" His father asked curiously.
"Oh, nothing much just an action based book about two forbidden lovers and what not."
Balin said calmly. Balin was really open with his father and papa. Despite being adopted by them he had lots of connections with them.
He took a small bit of bread as him and his father softly talked. "Well I'm off to bed. Goodnight father, If papa wakes tell him I said goodnight." Balin said after yawning. "Sure son, goodnight and have a good rest don't forget tomorrow is Monday." His father reminded him.
"Oh, That's right I start work at the library then huh." Balin said as he walked off.
As both Balin and Lance fall asleep exited for tomorrow. They both dreamt of the series.
When Lance woke in the morning he forgot to put a notebook in his satchel, so he does so then he dresses himself. As his maid came to wake him he was opening the door. She ran into him but back up immediately. " I'm so sorry sir. But while I'm here do you need anything?" She said bowing her head for forgiveness.
"Actually, I need a hair trim you think you can do it?" He asked the maid.
"But if corse, how long would you like it?"
His current hair length is to the end of his shoulder blade. " maybe just a trim.?" he said holding his hand near his lower neck. "Yes sir." She said and she cuts his hair within a few moments and brushes it and pulls it back as shorter hair fall near his soft, red lips. His eyes were a solid yellow-ish Amber. His perfectly sculpted face made him very hard to resist.
"Thank you." He said as he walked away. As he walked down the stairs he had his satchel on him and he stuck a few apples and a few tins of water. He snuck one of his fathers flasks into the satchel. He finally sits for breakfast and eats his meal rather quick. He stands and brings his plate to the kitchen and rushes towards the door. He sees his father there standing with a cloak along his arm for Lance.
"Good morning father. I plan of leaving today is that alright?" He asked.
His father replied is a sturdy voice "But of corse son, here take this." He handed Lance the cloak. Lance tried on the cloak and he had rinsed off this morning so he didn't smell if humans to much. "Do I look like an elf?" He asked his father putting on the hood on Above his head.
"Definitely, and good luck son. I prepared a horse for you-" his father was cut of by Lance.
" I'm not taking a horse because it will draw to much attention to myself." He said in a calming tone.
"Alright, son. Good bye " his father said in a rather unsettled voice. "Mhm good bye father, see you." He said Waking out the door.
Ask he walking near the entrance to the forest he saw the guard that had brought his books to the elven village. He asked him for directions and what bookstore he had brought the books to. Soon after he got what he needed he left and waved them goodbye.
