The bowl of extra hot soup suddenly splashed towards Sora while everyone was there dumbfounded!
Sora was able to understand what goes in Ajax's head. As if listening to her instincts she was already on her move! She stood there in a splash and was about to dodge the soup, her eyes widened when she saw the bowl of hot liquid was thrown towards her never reached her.
Ajax looked at Reyhaan's back with shocked eyes and his lips parted when Reyhaan grabbed Sora and pulled her into his tight embrace. Ajax did not even notice when he stood up from his seat and stood in front of Sora! The hot soup had already been splashed all over the back of Reyhaan.
Reyhaan had moved with lightning speed even before his mind could think rationally. He didn't even understand his intuitive decision himself. He was so worried over it when he thought about what will happen to her even if a small amount of hot soup splattered on her skin.
Sora's little voice did not leave her mouth when she felt his grip on her tighten a bit.
"Bang!" The bowl fell on the ground and created a loud sound while its shards fell on their feet. The loud sound was enough to bring everyone back to their senses. They finally come out from their initial shock.
Sora looked at Reyhaan's face who closed his eyes but twisted his brows as if he is in pain and her eyes become red. Her temperament became gloomy and scary. Ajax subconsciously took a step back when he saw Sora! He was sure that he saw the devil rising from hell when he looked at Sora with that red shining eyes.
He wanted to tremble her so that she will behave next time. But now Ajax trembled with fear when he noticed Sora's eyes were filled with a murderous gaze who was looking past Reyhaan's shoulder!
"Are...are you okay? Is your back fine? Ohh no, your skin might be scaled!" Sora asked worriedly as she held his shirt loosely. Reyhaan already removed his blazer so because of the thin shirt it was more problematic. Reyhaan emotionlessly stared at her. She wanted to hug him back but it will only increase his pain!
"Sora, I'm fine. Don't worry!" Reyhaan lied since he didn't want to worry her.
Her eyes fell on his wet clothes. His white shirt was sticking to his back and she was sure it was too hot to burn his back.
Reyhaan finally left Sora from his tight grip and turned towards Ajax. His eyes were colder and filled with bloodthirst that Ajax stood there frozen. His face turned ghastly pale. Though he did not say a single word, his cold gaze was enough to let goosebumps all over his skin.
Ajax looked at both of them and swallowed. He somehow understood either of them will never let him go. He quickly took his friend and left the place in a hurry!
Sora let Ajax go, as she thought Reyhaan needed to go to the hospital quickly to check his injury since it can be quite serious. Also, she didn't want anyone to see her other side. As long as Ajax stays in the same city she can make him pay for every pain inflicted on Reyhaan.
"Let's go to the hospital first." Looking at worried Sora Reyhaan replied, "I am fine. The soup was not hot enough. I only need to change my clothes. I do have spare in my car. Do not worry.", finally withdrawing his gaze from Ajax and looking back at Sora. The frost in his eyes had dissipated a bit too.
She finally stopped staring worriedly at Reyhaan. She still could not believe that he came in front of her to take the hit that was meant for her. She only continued to look at him with enlarged eyes when he tried to protect her.
"You start your dinner, I will come after the change." When he assured her and started walking towards his car, she followed him having no appetite after the incident. She paid the bill with cash and send the message to Bob to come up with ointment for burned skin at her current location.
Reyhaan went into the car's back seat without noticing her presence behind him and started opening the button of his shirt when he heard the sudden knock on the car door. Turning to the window, he caught glimpse of Sora. Hesitating as it seemed Sora followed him immediately he struggle to change his shirt fast as he was shirtless.
"Reyhaan, please open the glass window...", Reyhaan heard the faint voice of the Sora outside which made his widened eyes even wider! But later seeing the urgency in her voice, he rolled down the window a little.
"I am fine Sora! Just give me some minutes to change I will be there.", he spoke letting her see his face only and mostly covering his body with a window. Since it was nighttime and the window was tinted, Sora didn't have the chance to see his back for injury.
"But, I still need to see your wound. Please, don't change your shirt. Give the wound some air to dry. Wait for some time at least, Bob is coming with medicine. " Sora requested.
Reyhaan just glanced at her and said nothing. Sora also gazed at Reyhaan who wasn't moving his muscle as he just stared at Sora. Meanwhile, Mr. Bob reached in a haste with the prescribed ointment by her. Sora was about to open the car door hurriedly when,
"Let...let Mr. Bob do it...", Reyhaan was hesitant so he asked for Mr bob.
