Back at the office, Sora just stepped into the office floor when she suddenly bumped into Reyhaan. She froze and averted his gaze by looking away!
Reyhaan quickly took the bags hanging in her arm and asked Krish, "Why did you ask her to carry? She would be tired!"
Krish:"....", 'I am almost carrying more than ten bags and she is only carrying two bags still she would be tired?'
Sora was confused, it seemed Krish told him about their shopping together! Before she knew it Reyhaan went inside and put all the bags in his cabin, Krish followed him. Sora was about to follow them but Reyhaan come back from his cabin immediately and ushered her inside their common lounge area on the same floor.
"You both must be tired from shopping. How about testing my cooking skills?", Reyhaan spoke excitedly and Sora rapidly blinked her eyes as if nothing happened last night and it does not matter to him. She started to feel awkward with the person who is not in front of them and for whom Reyhaan is taking this much effort.
When they entered all the plates and cutlery were arranged on the table with dishes. Reyhaan softly smiled and immediately took her to the table. He gently pulled her to sit and adjusted the chair. Sora thought it was his normal behavior which is for everyone. It seems she is not that special. Maybe his gloominess is gone because of his girlfriend.
Reyhaan took his seat opposite her and served her the delicious soup from the pot. "Taste it. Tell me how it is!"
Sora took a spoonful and brightened, "This is delicious! So spicy! Just how I like it!"
Reyhaan's expression which was anxious about her opinion lightened up. "En. Eat up. If you liked it, then she will also like it!"
She can see imaginary flowers blooming around him thinking of his girlfriend made her stomach churn. 'Why I am feeling like this as if someone is sucking my soul from my body!'
Reyhaan sincerely said with a tone that expressed how good he felt. "A man must know basic cooking. I studied one research and found that women like men who are responsible and know housework too!"
Krish nodded, "Indeed!"
Sora peeked at him and wondered if she should ask him about his girlfriend. Krish said that he is arranging a date tomorrow. That meant it won't be long before Reyhaan will belong to someone else and any woman can fall for him so she will accept him for sure!
'Arrrgh, why did he not tell me about her?', then she stiffened! 'Why would he? He is not obliged to tell me everything!', she sighed.
Her instinct said that something was missing, but she couldn't put a finger on it. But even if that was the case, it didn't change the truth. She faintly smiled, feeling a little pain in her chest.
Sora wants to volunteer to propose to him as he is not talkative or will delay due to not understanding her feelings. But he had someone he likes. She had already lost the battle from the beginning. She has tiny hope only if she rejects him which is next to impossible.
In her daze, Sora whispered, 'What if she rejects you?' but it was clearly heard by others!
Snap!
Before she knows she spoke those words she jolted from her place at the sudden sound of his fork on the table.
Sora widened her eyes after his demeanor changed. Reyhaan's chest was slightly heaving in up and down from how annoyed and angry he felt! Reyhaan narrowed his eyes, "I will always like her even if she rejects me!"
Sora froze.'Here we go, there is no chance for me!'
Reyhaan gritted his teeth, "She will be one always for me. Even if she rejects me I will wait for her. I won't let any other man take her away from me. I don't mind waiting till the end of my life. I will bear everything. I will give her everything I have. I will pamper her to no end! I don't want any other woman except her. If it's not her, then it can't be anybody else either!"
Sora stared at him, dumbfounded. She was so stunned at his sudden outburst that words failed to escape her mouth. But the tears formed and threatened to drop from her eyes!
It seems this man is so possessive of her. He even had feelings for her since his childhood and he can wait for her all his life. Damn! That girl is so lucky!
