After the meeting regarding the upcoming contract and a few other company issues discussed Sora wants to speak to Reyhaan but he excused himself for some work.
Sora suddenly felt some kind of weirdness in his behavior as if he is distancing himself from her. But she put that fact behind thinking he must be busy in his work as some of the requirements changed from the client so they need to work hard on the same.
After work hours finished and most of the employees returned home and only both of them were working in their respective cabins, Sora thought to see him. Krish and Rubina were in their cubicles but with loads of work so she thought they will not disturb them while they talk.
Sora knocked on the door twice and entered once she got 'Come in' from Reyhaan. She was slow while heading towards his work desk when she observed he was frowning in between reading some data on his computer.
"Amm...hey, when you are planning to leave?", Sora asked casually.
"After fifteen minutes", looking at his wristwatch Reyhaan replied and buried himself again in his computer.
"Would you like to have dinner with me? I want to eat something spicy today!", Sora chirped as after such a hectic workday she wants to pamper herself with nice food and handsome company!
Reyhaan taking his time to answer, Sora was now confirmed that something is amiss. She wants to ask him right away but she stopped herself.
"I am hungry, pretty please...", giving her puppy eyes look, and at the same time Reyhaan saw the same innocent face, he does not have the heart to reject her. So he just nodded, "Give me five!" Sora understood he will wrap up in five minutes and they can leave for dinner after that.
At the same time, Krish knocked and entered while opening his mouth but instead of saying anything he stopped in his track looking at Sora standing there.
"Krish we are planning to have dinner outside. Something spicy! Join us!", Sora asked Krish.
Looking at Reyhaan and he is glaring back at him, Krish gulped. He knows if he will become the third wheel it will not be good when they will be at home.
"Wow that is a really good idea but I am not able to eat spicy food today! You know my stomach is a little upset. You guys go ahead I will have mild porridge at home." and he smiled sheepishly when Reyhaan nodded in satisfaction.
"Ohh, okay! Please take care Krish, do you want me to call the doctor for you?" Sora asked worriedly.
"He will be fine after porridge! Don't worry about him", came a sarcastic reply from Reyhaan. Sora looked at him with shock but she does not reply.
They reached underground parking when Reyhaan noticed Sora's car was not there. Sora already knows what he wants to ask, "Mr. Bob has some work to do and he will be late. So I decided to eat out and you will drop me home later!", Sora answered him. Reyhaan just nodded accepting everything she planned to do.
"Where do you want to eat?", Reyhaan asked while driving.
"It is a surprise! Just take to the Hyatt hotel!", Sora told him the address but not the exact one!
Once they reached, Reyhaan thought to park in Hyatt and then eat in the hotel but Sora asked him to park on the street opposite the hotel. Thinking it is bothersome to park and it takes time for the valet she asked him to park on the street Reyhaan nodded.
After they park he immediately opens a car door for the passenger seat like a gentleman. This act somehow dissipated her though he is in a bad mood so with a smile she came out and hold his hand taking initiative. She hooked his muscular hands with her. While both were busy with each other someone gritted his teeth looking at them. He was none other than Ajax who was there on the opposite side to them.
His eyes instinctively moved towards Sora who was staring at Reyhaan with a mischievous gaze and his eyes burnt. His hands clenched into a tight fist as he remembered the humiliation. No! He would not let this girl go easily who had dared to create a bad impression about him and his family in front of Ada!
Looking at the big fast-food market on the street where they are currently standing Reyhaan was unable to speak further.
"Why we are here? Don't you want to eat?", Reyhaan frowned staring at street food.
"Yep! We are eating here!", Sora merrily chirped.
"No! We are not! Is it even hygienic? Do you want an upset stomach like Krish?", he was still not in the mood to say yes.
"Ohh, I ate here a few times already. Don't worry my digestion system is good. Yes, it's up to you if you want to eat with me here! But trust me it is tasty and they maintain hygiene properly!"
"Reyhaan, let's have our dinner!" Sora sighed heavily before she pressed her lips together and proposed stopping in her tracks, Sora watched his figure walk a few steps before he stopped as well. "I haven't had anything today aside from coffee, and a few snacks in lunch!" Sora murmured and Reyhaan frowned. After the Ajax incident, Sora does not eat properly for lunch even though she was hungry.
Slowly, Reyhaan turned to face her pitiful countenance. Sizing her up from head to toe, Reyhaan slightly narrowed his eyes.
