"What is inside?" Tirus murmured as he opened the letter to find a key inside it along with a message.
'Dear son, this is your mother, Elena, I have sent you this as a gift, it is something that I had made especially for you.'
"Is that so?"
Without further ado, he used the key to unlock the case.
"Whoa..." Inside the case was a dual edged sword with a handle made of a rare black wood.
One look and anyone would be able to tell that its quality was top notch.
'A.I. chip, scan.' Tirus mentally ordered the A.I. chip, and soon, the A.I. chip loyally intoned.
[Beep! The target has been scanned]
[The target is a wood of unnaturally high durability]
'I love this!' He mused as he practised a flew slashes with it.
The weight, the hilt and the length, everything felt as if it was tailor made for him.
"I need to thank her for this."

[Daily life of Evan Van Elrod]
Duke Mason had two sons. His firstborn was named Tirus Van Elord, a genius with high intelligence from a very young age.
And then there was his second son, Evan Van Elrod, average in every sense of the word, he didn't have any extraordinary qualities in him at all and was just like a normal child.
Since he had a brother who was a genius, the treatment he got in his house was nothing special as well.
His parents were strict towards him, especially his mother, whenever he asked to spend extra time with her or just take a rest from his studies, he would get scolded harshly.
"Why don't you learn anything from your brother?!"
"You are already so mediocre and you want to take a day off from studies! Do you want to be punished?" Were the things his mother said to him the most.
His father mostly neglected him due to his work.
This kind of pressure was just too much for a 7-year-old. Unknowingly, he had developed an inferiority complex.
Even though his elder brother played with him and looked after him, he still didn't like his elder brother at all.
Nowadays, he had started to avoid going near his mother in fear of being scolded by her.
"Young master Evan, today is your history test, you've prepared, right?" A scholar asked Evan.
"Hm…Yes, I have sir!" He said after a few seconds of delay.
"Okay, then tell me, how long has the Elrod family been in power?"
"Ah….2…300 years." He replied.
"Wrong!"
"How many times do I have to remind you that it's 200 years!" The scholar rebuked. He had gotten the permission to do this from Lady Elena, otherwise, how would a mere scholar dare to rebuke a noble.
"Sorry…" Evan said with a dejected expression.
This was his daily life, no matter how much he tried to be like his older brother, he simply couldn't.
His brother could clearly remember the contents of most of the books he read, but he, the younger brother, couldn't.
'Why is it that big brother has such a strong memory while I don't!' This was the thought that was always in his head when getting reprimanded for not being able to remember what he had been told to.
"Young master Evan, please focus on your studies." The teacher said in a low, calm tone.
He really didn't want to scold this child, but the child's mother, Lady Elena, had instructed him to be strict with her second son, coupled with the fact that this child was the most average even among the average, he just couldn't avoid situations where a rebuke was necessary.
After a few hours, the class ended and it was now evening, Evan was heading to the garden to play for a little while, he heard the servants talking about his older, who had started his knight cultivation from today.
"Can you really believe it? Young master Tirus was able to expel the impurities from his body on his first day!"
"Huh, how can it be? He just started his knight cultivation today." Another servant exclaimed but bowed his head when Evan passed by.
'Once again, they are talking about big brother.' Evan thought dejectedly.
Everyone talked about his brother's genius, but nobody aside from his teacher ever even tried to notice his hard work.
The young Evan didn't exactly know what a knight expelling impurities from their body meant, but he could guess that it was something great.
In the end, Evan decided not to go outside at all and returned to his room, sulking.
This was his daily life, where the servants gave him respect, but nobody actually noticed him.
