The blaring sound of the Alarm caused Petra to jump up to her feet. Today, she was supposed to handle a patient that Doctor Davis needed her for.
Ever since the altercation with Lewis, she had been getting accustomed to Davis and, for one single reason, to get on his excellent book. She was aware of Doctor Davis's feelings for her and his psychopathic ways of handling things others don't know about, but she wasn't interested in him.
Surveying her face in the mirror, Petra could see how swollen her eyes had become, and it wasn't because of anyone but Lewis. She has been crying all night, thinking about the past weeks they have been together.
However, today was a new day, and thus, she had to focus on the day's activities. She took the necessary tools for work and held her lab coat to her left arm, one last look at the mirror before eventually leaving the room.
