The boss monster at this level is not really difficult to kill technically, but it still requires a lot of preparations beforehand to defeat the monster.
The necessary items have been gathered by Will over the course of several months.
Most items can be obtained through the use of conventional means of payment; therefore, this isn't a major issue. Dad's black American Express card has no limit, so he can simply charge it to the bill.
Dad's black American Express card has no spending limit, so he can simply put it on the bill.
There are 15 items, however, that cannot be purchased from the market. Ten of the items are rare, and four of the items can only be obtained by completing Class S quests in order to obtain them. The last item on the list is the one that is the most difficult to obtain. He is required to kill a god-level monster on his own. The item's drop rate is not particularly high to begin with, and the monster's spawn rate is only once every three months, so the odds of getting it are slim to none.
In total, it took him nearly a year to collect all of the items he needed.
And it appears that all of his hard work is finally paying off for him. The Second Earth Online> game has been available for three years, and no one has yet managed to defeat the boss.
The Acosdatic is one of the twelve bosses in the game who guards the entrance to hell's gates. You must defeat all twelve of them within a year's time in order to meet the requirements for entering the gate.
Last week, Will was able to complete all of the items on his list. During the weekend, he's been cruising through all of the major forums, braggadocio in abundance. He's bragging about how he'll be the very first player to be able to defeat the Acosdatic, and he's right. He informed everyone that he would be conducting a live stream in order to ensure that there would be no doubt in anyone's mind when he killed the boss.
He began preparing for the event an hour ago. He was kept busy by the demands of setting up the stage map with all of the items and spells that would be required to negate the Acosdatic's special ability, which he was assigned.
And with that, he can finally begin the hunt. The Acosdatic is scheduled to arrive in 5 minutes, according to the game time displayed in his player stat window.
There is only one way to enter the map for the Boss stages such as the Acosdatic, and that is by using a controller. And that person is responsible for delivering the required items to the NPC at the portal as payment.
As a result, Will is the only person on this map. That is why he is so self-assured and doesn't seem to be concerned about other players stealing his kill.
I casually checked the new messages and discovered that he had received a couple of hundred pings from other gamers. A number of people are encouraging him and offering him advice on how to better execute a skill in order to hunt down the boss, among other things. The vast majority of the comments, on the other hand, are downright hateful.
This is just the way the game is set up. Right now, a lot of people are envious of his success.
In the
Will is extremely confident that if he manages to take down this boss, his current ranking of 15 will be elevated to the top ten for the first time.
At long last, the system alert chimed, and the bright environment light that had been shining on the area suddenly turned red. This is the method by which the game informs the players of the spawn of a high-level boss.
Will took a casual step forward and selected the game map from his player menu. Then he started walking towards the location marked on the map. He took out a sea-weed like item from his storage and began chewing on it until he could feel the transformation of his neck. The item causes gills to grow on his neck, allowing him to breathe while underwater.
After walking a few more stems, he becomes enraged by the Acosdatics agro range and attacks it. He began to activate the wards that he had previously set up in the area. The entire map area was suddenly engulfed in a pool of water. In fact, there was 15 feet of water.
The Acosdatic is a boss who moves at breakneck speed. Its ability allows it to run around the map using its quick feet, which it uses to its advantage. It is capable of outrunning virtually all players, including high-level players who have dedicated all of their skill points to their agro. This boss map has a unique condition that must be met. To complete the challenge, one must kill the boss within the time limit. Otherwise, the challenge will fail. One of the game's developers made a slip of the tongue two years ago, when he hinted that the Acosdatic's skill would not function under water. Additionally, it is possible that a new god level monster with an item drop that has the ability to create a lake-like area on a map will appear during that time.
Eventually, someone was able to put together a plan, and practically everyone began participating in the quest. However, this is the first time anyone has ever been able to complete all of them in one sitting.
Watching as the entire area was flooded and then submerged under 15 feet of water was an emotional experience for Will. As he observed the Acosdatic, he was delighted to notice that the previously running boss had abruptly stopped and was floating in the water like a piece of discarded trash. He swam towards the boss, completely unconcerned about the passing of time.
He drew his sword and began slashing at the boss from every direction possible. Given that it is classified as a boss monster, the Acosdatic's health is still not something to be despised, even though it is low. However, due to the current state of affairs. It is simply drifting helplessly while Will is gradually reducing its life expectancy to zero.
Just when he thought everything was going according to the plan, the system notified him about outside interference which made him lose his concentration for a few moments causing Acosdatic to charge at him and use a skill taking a good chunk of will's health.
"You goddamn fucker." Will screamed at the monster and with vengeance his attacks became more focused and more practiced and eventually, the boss's health reached critical level and with a groan of pain he bursted into colorful lights.
Immediately throughout the game, the system's announcement popped up congratulating him.
As will had a gleeful smile on his face looking at the notifications popping up, his gleeful smile froze and his body went limp.
As the virtual pod went up in smoke, a system wide notification showed up to everyone playing the game.
"Player WILL has successfully eliminated Legendary boss Acosdatic solo and has been rewarded the last legendary equipment of the game."
Nobody realized, however, that right now, while the system is imprinting the new item to Will's account, the violet lightning did something to the game server which caused the account of will to disappear along with all the data, it was as if it had never existed in the first place.
The sudden loss of data caused the system to immediately perform an automatic diagnostic, but in the end all the data of the will was removed and it determined that there were no abnormalities, so it simply classified this incident as an unidentified bug.
