Chapter 4 - NEET SURVIVOR

A holographic window containing a notification is displayed in front of Will.

"WARNING! WARNING! Due to the result of an excessive amount of hunger, HP has begun to suffer damage and is now at a critical level. It is necessary to swallow an HP recovery potion in order to avert death."

Will is well familiar with this particular window. It's one of those translucent notification windows, which I really like. It's the regular window for the games he's used to playing on his computer.

The absurdity of it manifesting itself in front of him now appears to him.

What in the world is going on here?

The message, which had a red border around it, continued to blink in front of him. The beeping sound is also becoming a weird single continual buzz, which is driving me insane.

A few lines down the page, he came across three different alternatives.

*Ignore

*Consume a red-colored concoction.

*Obtain access to the storage page

What is this in the first place? Do I have any potions or a storage page?

He selected the third choice from the drop-down menu.

A larger window appeared out of nowhere.

With a pair of eyes as large as a saucer. He took in everything on the screen with his eyes.

Will is well-versed in each of these concepts. He knows each and every item he sees in the storage space as they all were previously kept in his inventory in his account. Of course, knowing that he would be facing a boss monster, he prepared by stockpiling goods and recovery potions in advance.

It has been confirmed that he currently has a few hundred red and blue potions in his possession. There are also a couple more powerful healing remedies available. Some potions for reversing one's state are also accessible. He chose one of the red potions and pressed the button labeled "drink."

He saw an immediate improvement in his constitution and all the thirst for hunger and the pain immediately disappeared as if they were never there and it was all just his dream.

In addition, a few attribute augmentation potions were placed in the inventory.

He dazedly clicked on the equipment page; The page is almost completely devoid of content; the only thing worth mentioning is a piece of equipment towards the bottom.

He chose it in the hopes that it is one of the divine weapons he acquired during the Second Earth Online. However, he was disappointed as soon he checked it's status.

Item: Unknown

Type: ???

Damage: ???

Durability: ???

Added stats: ???

Added ability: ???

He chose the option to equip, but he received another system message as a result.

"Inadequate skill level on the part of the player. This item can only be equipped by characters who are level 50 or higher."

"Shit!"

Is it possible to reach level 50? That is the highest possible level in Second Earth Online>. So that mean I'm allowed to go higher than 50 in this situation? Well, that's life. Let's just keep it in there for the time being.

He had a concept that came to him. Is it feasible that, because I have the storage window, I also have access to the other features as well?

He swiped the window to his left, just as he did in the game every time before. In particular, he was pleased with the way the player's primary menu window appeared.

He chose the first option, which he did with a lot of excitement. "Player Status" is a term used to describe the current status of a player.

He can clearly see all of his current statistics in this area.

Name: Will Smith

Class: NEET SURVIOR

Level: 1

Exp: 0/100

Skills: 3

Ability: None

Resistance: None

"This seems to indicate my current status"

What is this NEET SURVIOR title? Is that the reason why I'm able to access this particular window? What exactly does it mean?

However, there is little he can do about it, so he has chosen to ignore it for the time being.

He returned to the main menu of the system. He's taking a look at his choices. The storage window is the second available option. He skipped over that page because he had previously accessed it earlier, and instead chose option 3.

"Skills and Abilities page" it seems to be a page dedicated to skills and abilities.

He became aware that he now possesses three abilities that he can put to use.

*Skill: OBSERVE

Passive: Allows the user to see the HP bar over the target's head while not actively attacking.

Active: The target's basic information is displayed while the target is active. The skill can only be used on a single target at the moment due to the user's current level.

Cool down: 5 minutes.

(Level 2: The user will be able to see additional information about the target. The skill can be applied on both objects and items.)

*Skill: Drone.

Level: 1

A permanent autonomous drone can be summoned and controlled. It is possible to set the unit to self-destruct.

Available unit: 1

Next level: Max unit +1

Cool down: 1 hour

*Skill: Dash

Level: 1

When this skill is activated, the user can only dash in one direction. While the skill is active, the player gains increased movement speed.

5 meters is the maximum range.

The cooldown period is 60 seconds.

(Next level upgrades the dash to 10 meters)

He noticed at the bottom of the page that he presently has 3 additional skill points available to him, which he can spend to level up the skills.

He got to his feet and walked over to the window. He came across one of the zombies that was strolling along the street. He began to use his first ability.

"Observe!".

Target: Zombie

Type: Walker

Undead human infected by the C‑Virus. Slow moving.

Extra-Sensitive to sound.

He paused for a moment before adding one point to the skill "Dash" upgrading its level.

**Skill: "Dash"

Level: 2

This skill allows the user to dash in one direction. Gains additional movement speed while skill is active.

Range: 10 meters

Cooldown: 55 seconds.

(Next level: Range 15 meters. )

(Level 3 requirement: +1 skill points.)

To my surprise, the second level for drone skill took the same level of skill points instead of two. I then proceeded to put one more point into the drone skill as well and upgrade it.

**Skill: "Drone"

Level: 2

Summon and command a permanent autonomous drone. Can set unit to self-destruct.

Max unit: 2

Cool down: 5 minutes

Next level: Max unit +1

He now feels a little more secure as a result of these modifications. He returned to the main menu of the program and clicked on the last option on the menu.
