Chapter 11 - Chapter ten

The young lord laid to death's door.

Boris, take them down for now. I don't care how you are to handle them all I want is to see them wail and beg for mercy before me.

It was crystal clear that the young lord had lost his reasoning now. To issue such an order to a basic magician like Boris was a complete use of nuclear missiles to annihilate a small village.

This was a power un dubbed for yet the young lord could care less by now. Although he was praised for his intelligence among his peers, he would always lose his rationality if his ego was at stake and this terrified the ruling governor.

To think he was giving Boris such an order to handle the four, their fate was doomed for life.

After hearing his command, Boris stood up in one go. Although the young master was this stubborn, he was kind to heart and he was the real proof of that.

When everything felt like going for him, it was the young lord that gave him a hand to pull him up when he wAs on the brink of death, and not only that, he helped Boris' son stand in for the awakening of his magic talent and still saved his family once.

It was for this reason that his trust and services were only rendered to him. Although he was only a basic magician, his achievements and success in law battles have always been successful with him.

With his son awakening, he had von to stand by the young lord's call all the time. Although this act sounded like bullying, what has he got to fear after all it was the young lord's command.

Without any delay, he walked a few feet as he went to the four leaving all eyes agape as they all gave their speculations of what was to be seen. That was a basic mage in play.

Those four are dead for sure. To insinuate the young lord to such a level, I must accept they have got some tricks in their sleeves but before a well informed mage, their teamwork is deemed to crumble.

Boris stood his ground as he looked at the four with pity in his eyes. Although he felt pity for them, he still had to attack them to please his master. He had no right to decide here but he still could lessen the might of the spell to be cast.

Being a wind magician, he started to cast off his magic spell at the four. With their weak bodies, all he needed was at least twenty percent of the spell' might to put the four on their knees.

With a slight move of his mouth, a strong wind started surging beneath him. Only controlling that might was enough to leave the shopkeepers and onlookers to prostrate from their positions.

So that is how mighty magic is! That guy can control the wind with such ease. It must be as said, only one who has been in such a state for too long could achieve such a stage. Mr. Boris is such an experienced mage but to fight such lads isn't he only bullying here?

What bullying are you talking of old man, you should be able to know that everyone will reap what they saw. Didn't you see it yourself when they engaged the young lord?

Everyone here knows the repercussions of making the young lord angry. If he will not show face to someone of your age then how will he give one to those lads of his own age caliber?

What a pity, those guys are to suffer a terrible stand from him. If I were them, I would go down on my knees and prostrate before him to see his forgiveness but it's a pity that the young generation always take their ego first before thinking of anything else.

As the old men were chit-chatting, Boris was already done with his spell casting and in one go, he let all cats loose.

Although he never used much power on the move, its might was enough to leave the young lads in agony but what came to sight left his jaw-dropping. What the heck is that thing and how comes it's here?

With an affirmed look, Boris was eager to get credit from his master but what happened next left him in question.

As the wind was about to crush in the four, all the eyes glued to the scene felt pity for the four lads. It was crystal clear that none of them knew the use of magic as they had only attained the awakening age.

To sum it up, the four lads were dead meat and the worst thing is that their parents will have to stay silent and accept the outcome as what fate has brought. This was the world they were enjoying.

It was one where power made all and those without one were even of less significance to the beasts or pets that the lords owned. If the nobles sought out your land or daughter, you just had to praise them for their generous act.

And yet when your child or parent dies by their hands, all you had to do was appreciate their gratitude, live on and forget even the tiniest bit of revenge in your mind. That was the world now as power was everything in life.

The only solution to the problem before the four was to go to their knees and praise the young lord for being hefty and perhaps he would let them go for this was only a thought as the young lord would have the best choice of decision.

Even when he decided that the four be given good strokes, they had to appreciate his mercy for their life.

But what a pity that this was never to the three's minds. They had grown up in a free and just village with all families taking care of one another.

Even when they went hunting, the meet was always shared with all the families within the village. Bullying was never an act that dared approach their sight.

But today, someone was doing it to them, and instead of fighting back, they only had to prostrate before the guy to get mercy. To hell with that.

But just as they were contemplating over this matter, a strong wind came their way in no time. its speed was far vast and the sound it gave off sent chills down their spines. It was crystal clear they had no nerves to stand this fierce wind.

What could they do then, should they follow that saying of when in England, do as the English do? Then what they're pride as...

As they were deep in thought, a soothing buzz that could calm their minds and in one go, those timid thoughts of being suppressed went off in no time.

Tiny colorless particles began to take shape at an alarming speed. The previously dumb and aloof space gained a water shield that none of the four could tell where it came from and as the wind collided with the water barrier, it shattered one go which annoyed Boris to the brim.

With a sounding bellow, he chorused.

Who might you be to reprimand me from fulfilling the young lord's command? It is a crime to stand in the young lord's pathways.

Repeating the same phrase for about five times, it was like he was trying to scare off the savior that the four got from saving them any further.

But there was still no reply from the other side. the place remained eerily quiet as his only voice sounded in the hallway.

Seeing that his opponent won't come out, he now affirmed it all, the guy is to stay discrete even if is to raid it off. he won't reveal himself.

Though it sounded bitter. to his side, Boris was a man of experience after all and he was at the pick of his level.

Though he might harm a few of the city folks, that was no way a crime as they were like pets to nobility. He will only be praised for protecting the young lord at most and going with the line, he would say it was his duty to do so.

With this, he mammered a few words and in no time a huge tornado swept to the side the four were standing. The speed at which he cast such a spell left all gasping.

How capable, how profound? The city folks mused. Many of them were witnessing a magic spell for the first time won't was clear that they could never tell what class the spell Boris released was.

The tornado swept all the items it came into contact with the moment it made its way to the four. It was clear that this tornado would leave them at death's door if it were to land on them.

But just like before, a water barrier appeared out of god knows where and blocked off all the surging tornado with all its holdings.

As Boris was startled, he was now angry as a discrete enemy was never an opponent that he could handle by himself.

As he was preparing for the best attack, he had to give his all this time. Though his energy reserve would depletion one go, at least he would fulfill his master's call but out of the blue...

Just like the way the water barrier was showing and disappearing in the next go, a spirit wolf appeared out of know where. it's white far glittering in the noon light rays. It was a pleasing sight to catch.

In one go, it sprinted forward and in mere seconds, the gap between it and Boris was done for.

Raising its sharp claws, with one swipe of its forelimb, Boris' belly was torn open but with his reflex, the man managed to save himself but what happened was the young lord.

The spirit wolf darted to him in no time and like before, it brandished its sharp claws at his belly tearing him almost in half. That was the young lord in mention.

Awwwwwwwwww

As though not pleased, it gave off a sharp hawl before leaving the place.
