Chapter 15 - Chapter fourteen.

The hunt goes out.

As everything had happened very fast, the three elders of Almain village were in haste to leave the city. Knowing what was good for them, they knew best where their capability lay so they did not stand to wait for the city lord's order.

Beside them were the young stars, Raman, Darin, and Clara. Not forgetting that Allan had turned out to be their guide now.

Although the three elders found him questionable over the incident that led them to this scandal, none of them mentioned this in the first place as they wanted to know his real intention of approaching Raman and the crew.

Though this sounded out of thought, the three were nobodies for the young master like Allan to prostrate over. Being a Risvan bustard could still leave him some respect among nobles let alone someone like Raman and his crew. These three were deemed unworthy of even his glance as a simple word would always mark their heads and that was being a commoner.

Being a common folk was the least bit appreciated class that everyone dared to leave. However, if all things were to our hold, then what would fate and karma praise their names for?

It was for these two that the class had to stand in place. One had the line of success and the said support while the other held failure for a friend. If one worked and succeeded, that would always refer to fate being in work while many found failure the best friend to karma as the most annoying being and most of them had to be common folks.

By now, the sun had started to set and a clear scenery was above them. It was like the sky had turned out to be a gold mine a phenomenon that was worth one sight.

As they were in hast, they had failed to acknowledge the changes running within the city borders. Since the iron army was heading this way, the city lord would not dare lock the gates as those wits had never for once tolerated insult. They would always take that chance to wreak havoc within the city and things would end with him losing his precious spot as even the king would fail to save him from crushing. And for this, he could only send his men to join the current folk multitude in the city in search of the Almain party.

With Allan leading the group, they only took a few minutes to reach the gates but what halted their tracks the most was the person entering the gates.

The man was not that old in the first place. He should be by now turning forty-something years of age. Truth be told, the guy was much younger than expected but to the three who knew more about him, they could clearly feel fear rise in their inner selves.

Riding on a black warhorse, the man looked adhering in his way of entry. He was clad in a golden armor an indication of who he was. What followed behind him was another built man who was also clad in a golden armor that was far suit for his physic.

Although they held the same ranks, the second man was quite aged as he was by a fall of sixty in line years. For him to come in person meant the mission was something that he wouldn't let his junior handle.

As though it was in his favor to decide on when to move or stay in the army camp.

Seeing the fear that their parents were showing, the three felt like asking why and the guy was but with their current state, they could only hold their curiosity for now and wait for the right time.

It was at this moment that some of the folks started hissing out all they knew of the two generals.

Who are those two men and where do they get the nerves to enter the city with their army?

Since the army was not always allowed to walk briskly within the city, and more so when it came to an outside army. They never for once had the battalion request for entry of their city but the army was briskly walking into the city as though they were the one on guard of Wester city.

Are you out of your mind? An old man replied to the lady who was musing to herself. Hearing him ready to reply, to her, the three sharpened their ears to get to know of these two men.

Those two there are Lt generals of the iron army that lead the first four battalions. Although each battalion has a junior commandant, the four of them follow that white haired man and that huge built guy you see.

The old man is the second in command to the chief general Boron of the iron army, his name is general Bristol, and the other is general Pavin. For this mission to call for those two to move is something that can not be overlooked.

The way the old man described things here let the three calm down a little as their issue would never call for such figures to take a move. And with what Allan said to them, the three now affirmed it that the army was not here for them.

Unknown to them, the three had to find a way to leave the city in the least time possible. Although their children didn't know who those two were, they knew better who they were and for this, they even confirmed why they had to come to Western city.

The team heed among the crowd of folks that was in place. As the army matched to the lord's manor.

Reaching the place, the city lord and his brother were out to welcome the group in. Behind them were a group of the city officials that were under his lead.

With a courtesy, the city lord greeted general Bristol and general Pavin before welcoming them inside. Of course, all his group had to follow the lines as they courtesiesed with the greeting.

Know to his character, general Bristol staid in place as though he had not had the city lord greet him. It was general pavin that returned the salute.

Feeling anger rise in his whole body, the city life felt humiliated but what could he do? Who was general Beistol and who was he? It was best that one knew his line and that was the city lord.

Despite being the city lord, he had to stay put before a figure like general Bristal. The man was no butter for him to chop for the moment. Although he ruled over millions of people, what was it to mention before someone like Bristol.

Although many assumed the man was by a stand in 60s for his age, the city lord was no common folk to be fooled that easily. The fatty man had his own spy network that would only answer to the both of them.

It was through this that he came to know of the real man's age yet what he had was still marked rumor to him. He was told that the man should be by now holding two full centuries in him.

For one to be this old, his cultivation had to be on a different level and could not be left out when in mention of experts. It was for this sole reason that he never respected anybody except for the black church authorities that were above his rank.

Getting them inside, the city lord ordered for a serving spree to his guests before they began talking on the matter.

It was like he had forgotten of the fact that the man never acknowledged the laws that were in place to run the city.

Anyway, this was common in all the kingdom. For it was power that held the upper hand in all the classes present. It was only those with power to decide what was said to be fate to the city common folks.

The scene within the room that the four were sitting was the clear meaning of power. Imagine a thief breaking into your house and loots everything that pleases his eyes when you are only standing wide eyed. When he feels like done, he turns to go but looks at you wife then the next thing he mentions, is I am taking her as well.

This was the place that the city lord was standing in. Despite entering his city with force, he had to please the old general and the worst was to use his spy network to locate the same group he was hunting down for this old general, there was no humiliation that could challenge what was before him.

As things were now clear, Mr. Clain looked around the vicinity as he was preparing to leave the city now. Although the gate was now heavily guarded, all the troops at the gate did not know how they looked in the first place so it was best if the crossed now with the crowd leaving the city.

Just as he was in thought of a solution, a caravan matched their way heading the city gates.

Seeing such opportunity come their way, the group joined the caravan that held about fifty people with a few children along. With this population, they were able to leave the city in one go.
