Chereads / A journey in the magic world / Chapter 3 - Chapter two.

Chapter 3 - Chapter two.

First magic awakening.

Seeing that the old man, Ai Albert was so calm over his crossing of the Guardian spell, Raman felt the sensation of holding a cheating device under his sleeves. For sure, he would worry not over the passage of the magic awakening test with a device as such.

Filled with joy, his fear of the spell was sent to the back of his mind as though his little act of bravery was enough to cross the Guardian plant spell.

Taking the first foot in the Guardian plant spell grounds, nothing happened. The tall green grass remained in its usual looks.

Bracing himself, he took the second foot in the Guardian plant spell grounds, this time with all sorts of prayers leaving his mouth as though it were to hear his prayers.

However, it was like the spell was hearing his prayers as everything remained in its first form. The old man was only bluffing to scare me off, that cheating device of yours is now mine. So he thought the moment he opened his eyes πŸ‘οΈ πŸ‘οΈ.

Old man, don't you feel ashamed to scare off someone as brave as I am? Anyway, you don't need to worry about me losing our great weapon in this journey in magic...

The old man remained unmoved with his words as though he knew what was taking place at the very moment.

Seeing that he never at once listened to his taunting, Raman decided to take the third step amidst his speech with the old man.

Not forgetting to pray to the Guardian plant spell to do let him cross its grounds so as to reach the house yet this time, the Guardian plant spell kept a dumb ear and made a strike the moment his third step made contact with the ground.

Aaaaaaaahhhh

In a flash like speed, he felt a huge grip on his foot the moment he stepped down following the grip was a large bang that hit him in the stomach giving him no chance to catch a glance of what it is.

Thrown almost to the first step of entry, he staggered back to his feet. His tammy was bleeding profeciously and the pain was far than what he could bear.

Old man, are you only going to stand there and look at me die over severe blood loss?

Didn't I warn you of not crossing for now, why would I even bother helping you out from something that you made up your mind to achieve?

Remember, it is not easy to find someone worthy your cheating device like me, you better change your mind or you will have to wait for another three thousand years for my rencanation to come back here for it.

Hahaha...

The old man broke to laughter before turning to Raman, you have guts boy to come up with such words before me, anyway, you still got a point there.

I have waited for thousands of years to this day only to have someone the likes of you to knock on my door steps.

You know, am also now tired of living in such a state and for that, I will help you out this once. If you fail in your second attempt, then it will be destiny's call for me to still hold on to such a life.

With that said, the old man raised his hand and the previous still green grass started moving to reach Raman and started letting off green sticky drops to wrap over Raman fully.

In no time, he was back to his feet standing live and kicking as though a bull.

The old man stretched his hand again and a white mist appeared put of nowhere and dipped down to Raman's sea of consciousness.

That is a link that can help you come back to this place at any time of your choice.

***

In a small sized room that was lit by the raising sun, Raman woke up from sleep with a terrible ache over all his body.

Was that real or it was the usual dreams that I always have?

Looking at his tammy, was a huge red mark clearly indicating that he was hit badly. That proved his presence in the mysterious place. But the problem was that he never got the chance to know what really hit him.

This mark is for a huge vein yet the Guardian plant spell was filled with tall grasses of thin size, what exactly hit me there?

Wait, as though recalling something, he closed his eyes and focused his sight in his sea of consciousness and indeed, what he thought was there.

A white mist streak clang around his sea of consciousness as though protective barrier. It was the link that the old man gave him proving everything right.

At that moment, two bean like cotyledon looking twins came to his in the most silent way possible.

The two were Desi and Billy Clain, his little siblings. The two were clang together and were like two peas. If not for their difference in gender, many would only dream deffreciating them for life.

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday happy birthday, happy birthday to you.

The two sang in unison before Mr. and Mrs. Clain joined in snapping Raman back to the current world.

Happy birthday πŸŽ‰ son, the two said in unison as Mr. Clain held Mrs. Clain subsequently by his side, a sign of their love even at such an age.

Today is your day to kick start a shine in this huge world. Your dad here can only run in this small Almain village since we can not support a city life there. Do work hard to hold a stand in this world to make your parents here smile.

The family sat on their small sized dinning to hold the breakfast bull by the head. The fun was an earth to heaven distance the moment the family dined together.

After dining, Mr. Clain went with Ravan to the Magic Association Hall to take part in the awakening test. Since the distance was not a stone throw, the two boarded a carriage and reached the hall in an hour and a half later.

On reaching the grand hall, it was situated in the middle of the western City. The empire held four major cities, the Eastern, Western, Southern and Northern cities that were running other parts of the empire.

However, all the four cities answered to the capital, the central city where the Imperial Palace was situated.

All the nobles, royals, and the wealthy ones lived in the capital, the central city.

The emperor ruled from the capital while every city owned a governor to run the duties of the emperor in the various cities.

The duo walked into the huge Magic Association Hall of awakening. The place was vast almost three football grounds yet many people had turned in to let their children partake the magic awakening test.

Although it was costly, many poor families held hopes of yielding wealth in case they held onto one child that mastered magic.

It was an investment worthy one family to hold a magician. Although the journey was one to burn money so as to reach the top, many never cared and gave in their small earnings and the results were brilliant though many ended up failing and deepening their families even further.

The day I first stepped in this place, I had dreams of lifting my family to glory in my youth stage. Many believed I had the potential to reach great heights but a beast tide swept up all the people in my village not leaving even a single born behind. It was the three of us that had joined magic schools that survived and that's when I quite learning magic.

Even if anything does happen to any of us when away, do not quite learning magic.

After saying that, he walked to the registration desk que seven to wait for the attendants.

They didn't have to wait for long as a young lady dressed in a black dress showsd up at the altar.

Hello, I am Miss. Flavia, and am the over seer of this occasion. You are to pay one gold coin for everyone that does step on this altar for the test and the one taking the test should be three days to make fourteen or fourteen and above.

Lifting her hands up, the flat ground started to raise at an alarming pase living all the younger stars in awe. That was an advanced mage as she did an instant cast and in no time, tables, chairs for registration and stands for the support of the awakening stones came in place.

The attendants started arranging all the awakening stones in place and the rest took seats to register the younger stars.

So after registering your name and all the information needed, you will step on the altar, calm yourself down then place your hands on the awakening stone then leave the rest to the person attending to you.

Many began to register in a hast.

On the seventh que, Allan took the test first.

Your name, Allan Brisvan. age, 14...

After that, he paid the gold coin and walked to the alter to partake the test.

Placing his hands on the awakening stone, the stone shone a bright red color that lit all the altar in a go.

This is good, the first person to take the test had an A grade, this is really good for the time.
