Chapter 4 - chapter three

Awakening the ice element.

Your name, and age, please.

Allan Risvan Just turned fourteen.

His dressing code was exquisite meaning he held a noble status yet he was only alone. Being alone yet of a noble status, many thought of him as a disgrace of his noble family and that was the best explanation for his lonesome stand.

After that, he paid the gold coin then walked to the altar that was parked with awakening stones that shone in various colors.

Walking to the lady before him. She was a clear beauty yet her attitude of keeping a sad face as though shouldering the world's worst problems left many to dismiss the thought in no time.

Try to calm down and then place your hands on the awakening stone, she said.

Following the instructions given, Risvan breathed in and out to lessen the tension he felt in his heart.

Though he has always lived a lonesome life despite being born in one of the greatest noble families, he was born a bustard amidst deep love between his parents.

Though he held no much of a status if he were to awaken one of the respected magic elements, his clan would consider him for a genius and he would start receiving respect and stand out among his peers in case he trained best.

He walked near to the awakening stone and placed his hands on the awakening shining blue black stone.

As though the circuit has been completed letting electric current flow into the conductors, the blue black magic awakening stone that was redundant and cold a while ago shone with a blood red color that was eye catching. The temperature in the vicinity rose at an alarming rate leaving many in sweats as though they were a thousand metres from the sun.

What kind of element is that? Am even loosing my ground you know yet he is only in smiles there.

Many started complaining in no time. Although a few complained in reburt only because they knew who Allan was.

That is the fire element. Congratulations boy, you have got one of the most fire power in magic and its class is in a high grade rate.

What! Allan exclaimed. For all this time, life looked hard for him with his family bullying him in the company of other great noble status holders.

Although his dad and mom cherished him that much and gave him almost all in life, they still could not build a status for him, he was marked a busturd by birth leaving a deprived mark that he had to bear to death.

But this day has marked his bright days in his clan, talk of his family, the Risvan clan heads.

I now only need to work harder and harder to reach the top in a short span so as to be ranked among this current age bracket geniuses.

He walked off the altar and headed for a seat to have a look at the ones awakening. His reason was to see those with the superior magic talent than him.

Standing in the line, four figures came to meet Raman and his dad. They were Darin Clova the only son of the Clovas his next neighbours a few hundred feet to the right and Clara Athens, the greatest beauty of their village. Although her clothes looked more to rugs, her charm still stood among the top in the registration hall.

The two were accompanied by Mr. Clova and Mrs. Athens respectively.

Each of them followed the features of their family like the Clovas were known for their built bodies and held much strength. They could accomplish lots of work that needed energy to be done. This was the sole reason as to why they had decided to enroll their only male child in a magic school.

The Athens were known for their great skills in business. They could sell any item from the village to the trade caravans and this always went through because of the pleasing beauty.

The Clains were known for their stand as the strong tower that protected the Almain village from all the attacks.

Rumor has it that the first village head was a great super mage from the Clains although his untimely death left the family in deep struggles.

Ravis Clain the only reason as to why many people that numbered to a total of fifty decided to shelter in the huge Almain valley. Although it's geographical location gave them a higher chance to win the battles with the beast tides, Mr. Clain always felt worried for he had still failed to cross from the intermediate mage to an advanced one. If one time they were to face a fearsome beast tide, they would all be gonna and remain to be history in life. This was the sole reason why the three had decided to take the free lousy friends to the magic academies with hopes that they could shoulder the burdens of Almain in the near feature.

Say, this is our only chance to groom you guys. Although the sums for your entry in the magic academies will toil us a bit, our eyes are only looking at the tomorrow of Almain. It is our home and everything. You need to mind keeping it at the top at all cost. Sounded Mr. Clain.

Clara held up her head and looked at Mr. Clain, and the other two elders present before turning to Raman and Darin, "Why does it sound like they are in fear of something?" She asked.

I heard that a level three magic beast's foot prints were seen with in the village premises.

What kind of magic beast at such a level will be interested in a group of mere peasants that won't even raise it's body defenses?

I heard that it's a Gnowing two headed mouse. Said Clova. Although it is ranked among the least class among magical beasts in a clear dual stand, at its level, it has to lead tens of thousands in case it were to hold a match. With such a force, the Almain village would seeze to exist in a day's time.

That is what worries my old man. Clain said. Although they found the foot prints, no sign of any Magical beast has been spotted in the vicinity of Almain for a week now. All the magical beasts have gone back to the Great Shorty Forest and they have not even strolled out of the second boundary.

That looks dangerous. But for now, let us forcus on the magic awakening test before us.

The three turned to brace themselves for either laughter or sobs.

Many younger stars were awakening their magic elements. Those that held low, intermediate, high and the superior magic talent all rejoiced in their own manner.

However, those that failed to awaken their magic element were considered failures in such a path and were advised to try the other issues for survival.

Amongst the three, Clara was the first in line to reach the registration desk. As the saying ladies first goes, the two let her take the test first.

Your name and age.

Clara Athens, am making fourteen tomorrow.

Your location, please?

Am from Almain village.

Okay, then pay the coin and head to the altar.

Mrs. Athens held her poach, fetched a gold coin from it and then paid it out.

Clara walked to the altar with this character of hers like she has never held fear for once. This was something that always kept her status unscathed for who in life never held fear in heart.

People always walked a life of fear in this current world as they were never the rulers of the world but magical beasts.

For they moved at thought and occupied three thirds of the land or water masses leaving the humans with only a quarter of the whole piece of cake that they shared.

Although the human race grew at an alarming rate, their overall power was still a laughing stock to the magical beasts giving them a chance to strike whenever they held such a thought.

Clara walked to the altar calmly yet steadily. She breathed in and out... to catch her breath before she did place her hands on the awakening blue black colored stone with her eyes closed.

The blue black awakening stone started to hold a swift change. Its usual color was now lost and replaced with a white mist.

At first, it looked a mist but it started to condense and in no time, the awakening stone had turned real white. Its temperatures dropped at an alarming speed.

The chill started spreading to the surroundings at a steady speed leaving many present in shivers.

It is a superior talent in ice elements magic, stated the overseerer. Looks like the Lord is with me today. I have only registered about one hundred and fifty yet the bigger number holds an intermediate talent in magic. Thank God teacher left me to accomplish this or I could have lost this opportunity to stand in the queue of history for as young as this.
