ADRIANA
Rafael took her to his room and locked the door behind him.
"I'm sorry Alpha Rafael it was my mistake, I never should have touched anything" Ady cried bitterly, but Rafael wasn't ready to let her go.
He wasn't just angry about the missing box, but it's content.
"Where is the box?" he thundered using his Alpha tone on her which made her tremble in fear.
"It's…. It's…." Ady stuttered.
"What?, you don't know where it is anymore?"
How was she to tell him that the box was broken by her? She will be greatly punished.
"Speak up now!?".
Rafael's eyes burned with pure rage as his wolf threatened to take over.
"I broke it!" Ady blurted out.
There came a deep silence in the room which lasted for some minutes.
Rafael went straight into his bathroom, he turned on the water and filled the bathtub to the brim.
He went back to the room where Ady stood shivering in fear, and dragged her forcefully into the bathroom.
She tried releasing her herself from his tight grip, but he was too strong for her.
Rafael dipped her head into the bathtub filled with water. She struggled to free herself, but she was drowning.
"This is for touching what you never should have!" He pulled her out for a minute and Ady choked trying to catch her breath.
She tried to plead for mercy, but she coughed badly.
Rafael's anger did not dissipate even when he saw her helpless.
He pulled her back into the water and left her for more minutes.
Ady struggled yet again, but this time she couldn't hold up anymore, and so she passed out.
When Rafael noticed she wasn't struggling anymore, he pulled her up.
He became frightened, knowing he had gone too far. He immediately summoned the pack's healer.
Ady woke up in a strange room. She tried to get up, but pains shot at every corner of her body. She looked around and noticed the room looked very familiar, She immediately sat up straight on the bed, knowing whose room she was at.
Just as she was about getting off the bed, Diane walked into the room and upon seeing Ady awake, she ran to her friend and hugged her tightly.
"Thank the goddess you are awake now, Ady. I thought you would never wake again". Diane cried on Ady's shoulders.
"How long was I asleep for?"
"Three days now" Diane responded sadly.
Ady was surprised, she had been unconscious for days. This has never happened to her before.
"Why am I here in his room?". Ady realized suddenly and panicked.
"Calm down Ady, I hate him as much as you do, but you have to recover first. I'm so sorry Ady, if only I came earlier this wouldn't have happened to you".
Diane burst out in tears.
"Stop blaming yourself Diane, it was rather my fault I brought this upon myself".
"The box has been mended, and I've given it back to Rafael, but not without explaining everything to him and giving him a piece of my mind.
Ady felt relieved knowing the box was mended and given back to the owner.
She immediately stood up from the bed.
"Where are you going?"
"I can't stay here, I am going back to my room". She left Rafael's room to go back to hers.
Ady thought about everything that's happened to her ever since she'd met Rafael.
She regretted ever falling for him once, she regretted ever coming to the pack house and most of all she regretted ever being born as an omega in Crimson moon pack.
It was just a month to her eighteenth birthday, but she knew things will only get worse from then on. It was obvious that Rafael will never let her go.
Furthermore, it wasn't her fault that she was born an omega, so why did she have to suffer this much?
She decided to runaway from the pack. She knew she would be killed if she was caught, but to her, it was better to be killed while escaping rather than being killed as an abused omega.
She carried out her chores diligently and tried as much as possible to avoid being caught by Rafael.
Whenever he was around, she made sure she was far away from where he was.
She wanted to avoid creating more trouble for herself, knowing she would be escaping soon.
Ady took the initiative to investigate her environment, she observed the moment when security became loose and when it was tight.
She wanted to make sure her escape will be successful, but even if it came to a point where she had to die, then she would prefer to die trying.
She planned her escape diligently for days without letting anyone know.
She had saved up some food for herself in secret, pending her escape to freedom.
The night before her escape, Diane came to her room as usual, and they discussed as they used to.
"Ady, tell me what do you wish for in your coming of age ceremony?"
She never thought if that before.
"I don't know what to wish for". Diane chuckled.
"Don't you wish to find your mate on your coming of age?".
Ady froze, she had total forgotten something like a mate ever existed in their world because she was more occupied about escaping.
"A mate… I've never really thought about that."
"You should Ady. I have a feeling your mate won't be an omega", Ady burst out in laughter.
"I am an omega Diane and omegas only mated to their likes".
"I know, but there are exceptions. Did you know that an omega from crimson moon pack was mated to a beta in a far away pack some years back?".
She did not believe what Diane had said
"What about you, Diane, why haven't you found a mate yet?"
Diane suddenly felt sad, it was as though Ady opened up an old wound.
"I'm so sorry Diane, I didn't mean to ask you in that manner".
"It's okay" Diane let out a long sigh.
"I did not find my mate on my coming of age ceremony and that you know, but the next day my wolf went feral, and I felt an unbearable pain which meant my mate had marked someone else as his mate."
