Jude is seated in his living room as he is on the phone. A conversation he wished he didn't have to have, not because of compassion, but because of time. time was running out!
"what do you have for me?" Jude asked Tony over the phone.
"bros J…" Tony responded.
"Tony I'm not here to play with you. What do you have for me?"
"bros J, pesin no fit take you play again oo".
"Tony!"
"oya sorry. Bros J, I no go lie you o, the thing hard pass wetin we see o, this one na water don pass garri kind of level, shey you understand. So the koko be say, I never find the babe".
"you are incredibly stupid!"
"ahan, bros J, which one come be that level na. bros J I don already tell you say make you no dey follow me talk like that o, me and you no be mate. I senior you pa. why your blood too dey hot sef, na because of money you dey reason me like this so?"
"Tony you are very mad, you are madness at it's peak. Tony you told me to pay you before service. I have paid you, and still you have not rendered any service and you have the guts to tell me that I'm too angry. You are possessed by a legion of demons".
"your father. Na your generation dey possessed by demons. See this small boy oo, wetin dey work you na".
"Tony all the money you think that I have, is in the girls hands. All you had to do was kill her so I can get my money and four months after, nothing. If my village people sent you to me to stop me from being rich, tell them I said back to sender because you did not see me. Tony, I'm giving you one more month to find her and do the needful, if not you will refund my money with interest. Only God knows where you've spent it".
Jude ends the call and throws his phone on the table angrily. His phone chimes, indicating that there is a new message. He picks up his phone to check. As he reads the messages his eyes widen. He proceeds to call Tony. After the first ring Tony picks up.
"wetin?" Tony answers.
"I'm sending something to you right now, tomorrow I want you to go and verify that information".
Jude ends the call before Tony gets a chance to speak. Jude then tsk his teeth then rests his back on his seat as he strokes his chin. He resisted the urge to smile as he was not sure of the information he had just gotten, but that was the closet to hope he had gotten these past four months. So yet again, all he could do was hope.
