Chapter 7 - Welcome to Angariya

Emika was pondering her thoughts when she noticed that the cup in her hand had turned cold. With a sigh, she set the cup down and turned to face the direction; there was a shadow in the same spot where the young man had stood in her dream. She closed her eyes, waited a few seconds, and then opened them again, hoping that what she saw was just her imagination.

This distance between where she is sitting and the location of what appears to be a young man walking straight to the west gate is almost 3 kilometers, which was allowing her to see practically perfectly, clearly everything except the features of his face that he is a young man wearing a strange clothes. Is it a coincidence that he appears in the same spot as she did in her dream last night, or is he there and this is a premonition? That was the first thought that came to her mind.

She returned her gaze to the young man, this time rising from her seat and poking a small object on the table, torching the center of the object without taking her gaze away from him and saying, "There is a stranger approaching the west gate, apprehend him, bring him to the tower, and confine him, and notify the council to assemble."

Around the same time, three men and a woman sat at a circular table in a different hidden chamber in the same tower with no windows or even a door, all wearing white ropes with hoods concealing their faces, each about 2 meters apart.

Each of them was looking in screen in front of him watching a different scene, except for the woman who was holding a little divorce in her hand projecting a scene that is not visible to the others only she could see, with anticipation and a faint smile she whispered to her self, It just started.

When I got closer to the wall, I observed a

massive black gate in the middle of the wall that was as tall as a 12-story building. Finally, I'm going to see people, I thought.

The next thing I realized when I got closer to the front of the gate was that, without saying a single word, six unformed men were approaching me, each of them holding a bizarre weapon that looked like a rifle but was as long as the spears.

They begin to encircle me, speaking in

unfamiliar language, and from their gesture

I deduced that they wanted me to go with them, so I raised my hands and followed them, which I did.

Beside the entrance of the closed gate, there was a small building that appeared to be the guard's house. They escorted me there when they discovered that I was not resisting them and was following.

They led me to a room where two guards stood on opposite sides in front of a large door. The one who seemed to be the superior said something to the guard on the right side, and the guard nodded without saying anything. He touched a specific location on the door, and a small screen appeared. He typed something on the screen that looked like a pass code, and an opening appeared in the middle of the door.

When I tried to look around the room to see what was inside, I couldn't see anything at all; it was a completely dark place. One of the men escorting me, who was standing behind me, pushed me ahead to enter, and without any other choice, I entered the dark room.

With the first step inside, I felt a chill run down my spine, with a strange sensation all over my body, and gravity pulling me forward, I tried to resist it but failed, and it didn't take more than a few seconds before  I found myself appeared in another room. Surprised by the abrupt change of the scene, I began looking around the room, which had a bed in one corner, a small table in the other corner, and in the middle, a closet about one meter square.

When I turned to face my back, I discovered that I was in a jail cell, confirming that and  removing any doubt about the iron bars that I am facing now.

Having no idea and being unable to understand why I have been thrown in jail without doing anything despite the fact that I couldn't comprehend the language my captors were speaking, but no one has even tried to converse with me or asked me any questions.

I figured that at least I am going to sleep in a bed tonight instead of the open field that I have been walking on all day long. As soon as I sat down on the bed, I felt everything around me begin to shake. The first thing that came to mind was that this was an earthquake. The shaking started to intensify, and I instinctively went straight under the table.
