Liam huddled in the room with Juno and Michail, as they looked at their instructor Lucien. At first Lucien was only supposed to train Liam but when they started fighting together, Lucien decided to train the other two as well.
"So, tell me what you think you could have done better?" They were talking to Lucien through a communicator after the match. Lucien had seen the whole fight through that.
"Liam you go first." The others were new so, Liam was the one to go first.
"My control of the team was bad, Michail being hurt wouldn't have happened if I had timed the situation right. I underestimated the other team even after telling myself not to do it. I feel like we could have done a lot better." Liam looked at his Uncle uncertainly as he stopped. That was what he felt he had done wrong. Hopefully he hadn't missed too much or he will have to do more training to makeup. He really wanted to visit the Library today!!!
"Those were all the things you did wrong. There were some other mistakes but things like that can only be corrected by experience so, I won't mention them."
"Your control of the team was bad but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. After all this was you're first time in the Control role and I can see you are not that familiar with each other's abilities yet. It was a little unexpected for me that you would take the Control route, you should know it is a lot harder then other routes. So, are you sure? Because after this it will be near impossible to change your warrior route."
Liam nodded as he looked at his Uncle, surprised. His Uncle motioned that they will talk about it later.
"With how seriously you were fighting, I reckon you want to become a warrior as well? A control type to be exact."
Seeing that Lucien was talking to her, Juno nodded seriously.
"I've been training for years, although there's a lot of things I want to improve. This is the future I have chosen for myself."
Lucien smiled at her, "Your fight today wasn't bad. Although like Liam I think it was your first time fighting along with teammates." He paused, seeing her nod he continued.
"What about you Michail?"
"I've always w-wanted to be one as well." Noticing everyone's surprised looks he continued. "I mean I know my p-personality isn't the best for someone looking to become a w-warrior but it's always been something I've wanted to do. To become strong enough that I don't always need others to protect me. It's not the only reason but a big part of it. I know my race makes it hard but I really want to be a warrior."
"You want to be an agility type?" Lucien smiled when Michail nodded hesitantly. "It definitely would've been hard if you wanted to take another route. But your race is actually perfect for an agility type warrior. Your shifted form is an Eclipse Rabbit, Ralph told me that, your race usually has the space element."
"Although it is only for short distance teleportation, it is perfect for an agility warrior. Even normal rabbits are really fast and Eclipse Rabbits are one of the fastest creatures. I'm sure you'll make an amazing warrior."
Michail smiled as he heard that, his eyes getting teary again. Liam quickly patted him on the back before he started crying again. It had taken them a long time, to stop him the first time. Juno also hugged them both from behind.
"Now I will warn you before hand, becoming a warrior isn't easy. Thousands of people apply every year, only to fail. Most people start training even earlier then you. So, you will need to train a lot harder."
"Especially your team fighting skills, I reckon you all know that, every warrior is a part of a 7 or 8 person team. Learning to fight alongside people is a necessary skill and a hard one too. You need to remember your teammate's shortcomings and compensate them in a fight. These conditions are harsher for those with taking the Control route."
Liam and the others listened attentively as Lucien told them about their future training.

Liam looked at Lucien as the others left to eat. He was a little nervous about what they were going to talk.
"How did you find out?" Liam blurted out as he sat in front of his Uncle's hologram.
"Every kid in the world starts learning how to fight but you were a lot more excited then usual. I could tell just from the way you talked about it." Lucien smiled at him, Liam was sure this was the longest his Uncle had gone without his evil smirk.
"Does Ethan know?" Liam was nervous about him knowing, his Uncle was fine but Ethan had a tendency to worry easily.
"He does of course, he knows you better then me. Why do you think he was so nervous about sending you here? Part of it was because the world outside the Clan is dangerous and your Grandpa is really irresponsible. But mostly it was because he knew that you will become more sure about becoming a warrior."
Seeing that he was still worried, Lucien continued, "Ethan has his reasons for being so worried all the time but you should never think that he will stop you from fulfilling your dreams. He just loves you and it is hard for him to see you get hurt. The fact that the profession you're choosing is the one with the highest death rate, doesn't help."
"But we will always support you no matter what. So, go and eat. We are your parents, we will always worry about you."
Liam looked at his Uncle hesitantly, seeing him smiling he walked towards the door. After looking at him one last time, Liam walked out.
--------------
"Are you sure you don't want to talk to him?" Lucien said as he turned off the communicator and saw Ethan sitting behind him. He could tell from the pheromones he was releasing that he was worried sick.
"I will see him when he gets back." He replied as he pouted sadly at Lucien. He was wearing a hoodie that was few sizes too big on him, it was certainly Lucien's.
He picked up his husband and sat down on the sofa with Ethan in his arms. "He will be fine you know. He's really strong." He said to lighten the mood.
"I know it's just that sometimes I feel like... like they're too much alike. Now that they've both chosen the same path, it feels inevitable. He was really powerful too you know, didn't help did it? Died just the same."
Ethan placed his hand on his mouth stopping him before he could say anything in reply and simply snuggled within his arms. They both looked quietly at the fire burning in the fireplace, lost in thoughts.
Ethan knew that everyone thought he worried too much but his intuition was telling him that he shouldn't let Liam go. After the life he has lived, Ethan knew that he should never go against his instincts but... But he didn't want Liam to hate him.
It was like what happened with him all over again. Ethan had wanted to stop him, his instincts were screaming at him but he didn't. Look what happened then, they couldn't even find his body.
He knew that Lucien understood it, why he was worried. Ethan's race always had great instincts but Lucien was just as helpless. Liam wasn't like other kids. If they forcibly stopped him, he would never blame them. But that just made them more helpless, if he fought and screamed they could tell themselves that he was too young. But he was so sensible that they felt bad when stopping him. Like they were ruining his life over something that might end up being false.
So, they both sat there in silence.

Liam walked around the book shelf looking for books, completely unaware of what his Uncle and Ethan were going through. Juno was sitting on a table behind him reading something about Control Type Warriors while Michail was on the communicator with his dad, telling him that he would be home later. It was really hard for Michail since he was really bad at saying no to people he liked and his father was acting like a kid saying 'what am I supposed to do without you'. After a few minutes of back and forth like this, his father finally said yes after Michail's stutter started getting worse and worse. He looked visibly relieved and asked his father confirming that he wouldn't be bored without Michail.
Juno rolled her eyes at his dumbness while Liam looked at him lovingly like a mother hen, thinking 'he's such a sweetheart'. Maddox then took the communicator from Michail and roasted his friend for being a worrywart and started bickering. Liam ignored him as he saw the book he was looking for and picked it up. He sat down across from Juno and started reading. Michail like Juno picked up a book on agility type warriors and started reading.
----------
Liam knew a lot about this world but most of it was from the protagonist's point of view. He knew that this world was a lot bigger then Earth. The continent he was currently living in was ruled by two kingdoms, his Clan was in the Kingdom ruled by the protagonist's father. Their kingdom was called main land by the people because the other kingdom was in the forest. The Royal family of the other kingdom was made up of Elves while his kingdom was ruled by a dragon clan.
There were occasional fights between the two kingdoms but it was mostly peaceful since they weren't interested in each other's kingdoms. Elves loved living in forests and hated their kingdom because it was mostly made up of metal and such with little to no nature. The dragon clan thought that the Elves were backwards and weren't interested in it since they thought themselves to be superior. 'Typical dragon thinking' Liam thought. All this was what he had concluded after reading a few books after all writers weren't allowed to write against the Royal family.
The Elvic Kingdom didn't welcome most of the other races especially the ones they considered a danger to their nature. The Dragon Kingdom was open to all races but it was way more unsafe as compared to the other kingdom. Other than the two kingdoms, there was a forest on the east of the continent. It was called the Star Forest. The forest was a forbidden place with all sorts of dangerous creatures. Liam remembered that the protagonist found a lot of magical stuff in there, he grinned as he thought of grabbing it before the male lead could in this life.
Liam also read some other miscellaneous books, he didn't want to just depend on the novel for information. The magic power was divided into 12 levels, Man Level, Earth Level, Moon Level, Sky Level, Sun Level, Star Level, Spiritual Level, Imperial Level, Emperor Level, Celestial Level, Sacred Level and Divine Level.
Right now, Liam was on the Moon Level. He was actually surprised by that but apparently dragons were born on that level. Michail along with Juno was on the Earth Level, they were both genuises of their races. Even the most blessed people only reached Earth Level at 7 years at least. But Liam wasn't happy because if it was true then the protagonist was on the same level as him. He had to train harder.
A sense of crisis hit him and Liam like Juno and Michail picked up a book on Control Type Warriors and started reading. He decided to read about other continents later, anyways it would be years before he needed to deal with them.
