Chapter 6 - Entering the virtual world

Sparkly pure white light radiated from the spot where Sun Li Jun was standing.

Due to the blinding rays of light engulfing himself, Sun Li Jun covered his eyes with the back of his palm.

In the next second, cool breeze brushed past his cheeks. This cold sensation felt so real that, for a second, Sun Li Jun even had some doubts if he was back to the real world already.

But, when he opened his eyes again and witnessed the scene before himself, all those doubts were immediately swept away.

Sun Li Jun felt like he had just time travelled back to 19th century. No..... this place resembled mid 19th century he had seen in history books or social media... but at the same time, it didn't.

Architecture of the buildings here had many in common with that of 1800s. But, when it came to clothings of NPC locals and other players, it was as if all sorts of traditional fashions from different countries had been blended together.

Only NPCs wore common clothings which seemed to be from the era around 19th century. Most of the players were dressed in modern attires. But, they had their own unique fashions that didn't feel out of this place too much.

It was then this vague suspicion came to his mind. If many other players were weirdly dressed up like that, then....what about him?.....

Only after glancing down at himself, Sun Li June finally recognized that he also was now wearing some strange looking attires. A stylish silvery buttoned vest with collars, a pearl white bishop-sleeve shirt with solid cuffs, a pair of black leather gloves and long black regency trousers.

'Cool....

Am I now an ability user or a prince from some Disney movies? '

[ Transportation to the Kingdom of Fighters is successful. ]

[ Welcome player 'Kylo Tj' to Crimson Flower Village of White Light City.]

[You've been granted a personal game system.]

[ Would you like to take a check at your stats?]

A radiant blue window popped up again.

When Sun Li Jun raised his line of sight, the young male was rendered somewhat baffled for a second, not seeing any options like 'Yes' or 'No' shown on it just like before.

Sun Li Jun extended his hand which were wearing black leather gloves and attempted to touch the window. However, this time, his hand unexpectedly went pass through it as if this window was nothing but a mere illusion.

"Yes, show the stat panel. "

Sun Li Jun quickly figured out the system window before him was not in its touch mode anymore, so he instantly replied to the question.

As expected, it perfectly worked.

Just as his words came to an end, the window before himself changed into a panel with detailed stats on it.

'Invisible eliminator' was a natural gifted skill to all assassin-type ability users.

With the power of this skill, one can move almost at the same speed of wind that regular human beings around them literally think they had simply gone invisible.

This skill worked perfectly well with slick and agile nature of assassin-type ability users.

It is also considered to be one of the rarest skills found among evolved human beings as there are very few assassin-type ability users currently registered in almost every nation.

The young male had heard about this skill a lot before. Since he chose assassin class, Sun Li Jun had already expected to get this skill.

Right now, his attention was simply focused on the only weapon he possessed.

"Dushe dagger"

Calling out its name, Sun Li Jun summoned the weapon. In the next second, a slim dagger with a short blade and a small T-style handle magically appeared in his opened palm.

It turned out the so-called Dushe dagger was no other than a small knuckle knife.

This item was always one of the simplest yet useful weapons for assassins. But, it's not really the kind of weapon Sun Li Jun was willing to choose for a battle with monsters.

The enemy for his very first battle should better be some monsters he could deal in close combat. Otherwise, this dagger would be no different from some useless shit.

"Dushe dagger? This Gege here must be a level-1 assassin-type player."

This sweet and pleasant voice belonged to a young lady who was currently walking over to Sun Li Jun, something which seemed like a spell book in her left hand.

The young female seemed around 16 or 17. She was wearing a black buttoned blouse with long bishop sleeves and lace collars that looked perfectly gorgeous with a high-waisted lace-up corset skirt of currant shade. Just from her appearance, Sun Li Jun could tell she was a mage.

Following behind her was a seemingly young man wearing a black vintage trench cape. Half of his face was hidden behind a black gothic face mask that had a chain and a vertical zipper. If Sun Li Jun was not wrong, this man also should be a mage-type ability user.

Sun Li sheathed the small knuckle knife and replied without so much as showing any reaction towards this gorgeous female gamer.

"You're not wrong. "

The pretty young miss stopped by the side of Sun Li Jun. Letting out a pleasant chuckle, she said.

"Assassin is really not my thing.

I chose an assassin class for my first game character and I got terminated even before I reached level 3. "

"Is that so? "

Without nodding or sparing a glance towards the beautiful miss, Sun Li Jun responded. This young lady should be just around his age. They could be friends if he wished. But, the problem was that Sun Li Jun was terrible at associating or communicating with people of all ages, especially with those around his age.

"Stop it, piglet.

You'd better stop flirting with every single male gamer you see in this virtual world otherwise I'm gonna tell dad.

You've got the threat, right? "

The male in black gothic mask stopped next to the young lady and indifferently uttered those words. It's clear that these two were siblings after all.

"I'm not flirting, brother. I'm just trying to initiate a conversation with another gamer to befriend him.

And also.....can you please stop calling me, piglet. In your eyes, do I really look like an annoying piglet that keeps squealing like oink, oink, oink? "

"No yeah, you really do. "

Ignoring the two siblings' noisy interaction, Sun Li Jun casually glanced his left and right. He noticed this little village street had suddenly become crowded with numerous other players unlike just a moment ago.

It couldn't be simply a coincidence.

" What exactly is happening here?

You are curious, right? "

This question prompted Sun Li Jun to shift his gaze towards the pretty young miss next to him.

Lee Nari seemed satisfied with Sun Li Jun's reaction, seeing the handsome lordly gamer finally giving her some of his attention.

"It's because of our high perception stats.

Most of the players Gege see gathering in this street are all gamers above level 8.

A high level monster is intruding into the village. Our player system is notifying us soon. But, since our perception stats are so high, we can sense the presence of that powerful lifeform even before the notification has come. "
