The moment spans out before her. She couldn't believe it. He didn't just do that. Her mouth was agape with shock. Kai looked at himself with a horrified gaze. He was drenched. Jessica quickly caught the umbrella he dropped before he could fly away.
"Shit. Are you alright, Kai?" She grabbed his arm and accessed him with a worried look on her face.
"The fuck!" He groaned.
Kai was irritated by the mere sight of how he looked, drenched from a puddle. Jessica glared at the empty route Dash had raced through a minute ago. Her teeth chattered, but her body grew hot with rage. That man was an asshole without even trying.
They made two stops after the bus had picked them up finally. A clothing store that was about closing up attended to them last minute, and then a diner nearest to it. Apparently, Kai had planned to take her to somewhere fancy, but it wasn't a loss since she'd always preferred places like these.
