"Does it hurt?" Maine asked after seeing Annah curled on her bed with a bandage on both of her fists.
"No, it feels so great." Annah faked smiled before she grimaced. "Yes, of course, it hurts. That bloody face of a Kwon."
Maine chuckled before she sat on her own bed across Annah's. "What did he say that makes you go rabid?"
Annah just kept her silence but her brows smashed in one line as she glared at the floor.
"Oh come on, you even openly threatened him in the public. Sucking him dry? Those are serious menace, Annah. You'll be lucky if the king won't hear any of this."
Annah let herself collapsed on the bed with her back. "I'm in trouble. I hope this didn't reach my parents."
"Pray they won't or you'll be hearing their disappointments," Maine said. "It's enough that Jason is already dismayed over his girlfriend's rabidness."
"Oh shut up," Annah said in a problematic tone.
"Just stay clear from Kwon and you're good to go," Maine advised.
"Isn't that what I'm doing? He's really good in worming on my nerves." Annah jabbed the air angrily and winced in pain, shaking her hand in the process.
Maine just laughed at Annah when she was making funny expressions. "Worry about how you can appease your angry boyfriend. Jason has been really serious in keeping the order of the school since he was appointed to be one of the prefects by the academy directors."
"Yeah. He's been very busy." Annah said. "We seldom see each other. Oftentimes, I forgot that we're actually going out."
"But the academy's bullying actually reduced by eighty percent,"Maine said. "And Jason's been actively doing his job to protect all the hybrids' equal rights as a vampire."
"Yeah. But Kwon won't even spare me." Annah gloated.
"I can see that. Though he's the royal prince, he's still a jerk since day one." Maine commented.
"Maybe I should join the prefects? You know, help Jason and spend more time with him?" Annah's eyes lighted which made Maine laughed out loud. "What? I'm serious! Besides, maybe I can have a shot into disciplining that bastard whenever he'd pick a fight with me."
"Being a prefect has no tryouts. For you to be one, you need to be extra excellent in academics to call all the attentions of all the professors and recommend you to the directors to be the prefects."
"I'm excellent in academics. What are you talking about?" Annah pointed out in a soured face.
"Yeah and so is Ricco Kwon, honey. But both of you could have been prefects or apprentices to any professors of your choice if not for your countless records on the disciplinary office."
"But it is Kwon who earned me bad records in that office," Annah said in indignant.
"That's why I said to stay clear from him. The school year is long. With right behavior and zero troubles, you could have the shot, honey." Maine enlightened her.
"You're right." Annah agreed after a while.
"I'm happy that it got to your senses." Maine smiled widely.
"Don't forget I'm excellent in all academics, Maine."
"And so does, Ricco Kwon," Maine winked. "And he's hot."
"Oh gosh, please. Don't say his name again and he's not even good-looking." Annah disagreed.
"Stop lying to yourself. I know your eyes aren't defective not to see the aesthetic of the pureblood prince." Maine gushed, stopping herself from bursting into laughter upon seeing how Annah's face twisted in disgust.
"He's a grotesque vampire for me and you can't change my mind. Now stop fangirling over him or I swear to find another best friend to hang out with." Annah said.
"Whatever, he's still ravishing no matter how many times you contradict the words of many female hybrids. He's truly in everyone's fantasy." Maine continued.
"Ew. Not me." Annah shoved Maine's face away from her.
Maine just laughed out loud. "Liar!"
"Was not!" Annah shouted at her friend. "In fact, watch me dodge his annoying face!"

The operation stay-clear-from-Kwon-Ass-Ricco started the next day and Annah built all the patience she needed for that day to tolerate that sicko without flipping everything she laid hands into.
On her way to Herbs Apothecary class, Annah saw Ricco along the hallway in front of the room she meant to go in.
As she got near, she ignored the eyes of both hybrids and purebloods on her way, expecting some kickass actions or war of words against the Kwon.
But Annah clutched her books firmly on her chest even though her fists stung a little bit while she did so. She was almost near the classroom and near the ass-face Kwon with his group of dum-dums when his very annoying voice slashed through her built-up wall of patience.
"Wassup bottom feeder." Ricco greeted her with his oh-so-annoying smirk on his face while his friends snickered.
Annah closed her eyes momentarily before she turned to his direction with a very pleasant smile, that it would shame any angels from heaven for its sweetness.
"Hello there, dear Kwon. Great morning, isn't it?" Annah greeted.
Ricco's face was a picture of thousands of horror as he looked at her. "Your ugly face is frightening me, Park."
"Is it? I'm happy to give you such pleasure." Annah continued to beam at him oh so sweetly before she turned away from him and walked inside the classroom.
Maine could almost lose it by the time Annah sat beside her. She then leaned over towards her. "Stop smiling now, your face is shaking."
"Urgh! Gosh, it hurts my cheeks." Annah whined under her breath. "It's hard putting upfront to that ass." she massaged both of her cheeks in the process.
"But you actually scared him," Maine said taking a glance at Ricco who stormed inside the classroom and walked towards their direction. "He's coming."
Annah automatically put up her sweet smiling face.
"Hey mixed blood, your brain amalgamate with some hideous filthy creatures?" Ricco demanded behind her.
"Oh what a thing to say, dear one," Annah asked dramatically but deep inside she was closed to throwing up all her breakfast that morning.
"Everybody!" Ricco called out the attentions of the students in that classroom and gestured towards the smiling face of Annah. "This shall be your reward for interbreeding. You'll lose your mind like her."
