"Strange girl! What special are you?! Yesterday was defended by Arya... now, Ricky? You play shaman, don't you? Pellet? Or witchcraft!"
"I—I—" I stuttered. Andrew approached, and he was alone. There's no one to see us now. They were busy hitting—hitting each other.
"You're ugly, weird, stupid, stupid... your life is suffering." I do not know. Which part of Andrew's words hurts me? Not because of his painless remarks . . . not. However, Pelita Mulya High School students have said that too often until I get used to it. But... this time, my heartfelt squeezed. My chest broke when Andrew said that. I'm like... trash by him.
I looked down, trying to hide the tears that kept falling down my cheeks. I shouldn't have cried. Mainly because of a problem like this.
"You should be in the hospital, not here. Check your deaf ear to hear what I said earlier."
"Rick... you misunderstood. Andrew, he didn't—"
BUKKK!!
I can see only a standstill. So when Ricky hit Andrew again, it was because of me.
"Tch! You like him?" Andrew asked in disbelief. Honestly... me too. But, what was more important right now, wasn't Andrew's question. But Ricky's anger.
I know that, and it's obvious. Ricky's brown eyes sharpened. Those sad eyes were full of hatred.
"You want to kill me? Just like what you did with Ani?"
Ricky is silent. He hit Andrew again. Even now, they were hitting each other. Andrew repeatedly called Ricky a murderer and even Alex. Actually... what happened? Actually, who is Ani that Ricky killed? Did Ricky kill that person named Ani? I don't want to believe it's true.
"Ricky!" I shouted.
They have fun fighting. It was so fun, and they didn't realize they were already on the road. Meanwhile, Andrew just fell on the paved road. My eyes stared in disbelief when there was a taxi that drove towards Ricky and also Andrew. How about this? What if they get hit?
"Ricky, watch out, Rick!" I shouted. Half running trying to get to them. Ricky turned. Then look in the direction I'm pointing. He just stood still didn't move from where he was standing. And that... made me even more anxious.
"Ricky! Andrew!" I shouted. I'm apprehensive about Ricky. But right now, I'm more concerned about Andrew because he's not in a position to stand up.
He's exhausted, I know that. And his only hope is Ricky. I could only close my eyes when Andrew screamed hysterically along with the screeching of the braked car tires. Is everything too late? Did Ricky run away on his own? Is Andrew all right?
"Kid! If you want to fight, don't come here!" snapped the taxi driver.
I open my eyes slowly. Andrew was already standing while Ricky was holding him. They both looked down. As if apologizing to Mr. Driver. Luckily... I thought I'd see a tragic death after seeing the commotion here.
Even the Harapan Bangsa students, Pelita Mulya, stopped their stupid activities. They immediately hugged each other's friends. Maybe... they were relieved to see one of their friends was okay.
"This isn't over yet. I'll repay you. And you, Rick... I'll never be satisfied if I haven't seen your corpse before my eyes!" after saying that, Alex and his friends left. Pelita Mulya High School students immediately cheered for their victory. Those naughty kids need a small win to be happy.
@@@
"So why did you take me there?" I asked. It's already evening. Ricky and I are back at school. However, we haven't gone home yet, even though the children are quiet.
"I just wanted to show you... about who I am," he said ambiguously, and I didn't understand. But, even without him showing it, didn't I already know he was a bad boy? Or is it because of yesterday's problem?
"I'm a heavy smoker too."
"Then?"
"But I don't want to break up with you. That's why I want you to know. So that you can be beside me for who I am. It's not what I am."
"But... that's not a good thing," he didn't answer me. As if telling me to continue, "fighting, smoking... both are things that cost you your life, Rick." really... I don't know where my courage came from to say this presumptuous thing to him. I'm afraid if he gets angry. Because I knew enough about his anger earlier, he's... terrible.
