"I told you, she knows that. So don't be concerned with her that much," Raymart said with a straight face.
Marigold was irritated by Raymart's actions. She couldn't figure out why he became arrogant again after they had a pleasant conversation during their lunch break.
'What if my preconceptions about him were correct?' Marigold thought, but no words came out of her mouth. She only looked at Charlie, who was still waiting for her response on whether she would accept his offer to let her ride in his car so he could leave safely and on time.
"I'll insist, Marigold. Remember that your father is now working with me and will most likely still be working in my unit when we arrive.
