Chapter 13 - Grandma's Reminder

Raymart was obviously frustrated when he entered his house. He even caught Lola Chanda meditating but he did not greet her. He just walked straight into the living room.

"Do you know how rude it is to not greet the elderly person?"

Raymart was alarmed when he couldn't get past hearing his grandmother's voice. He scratched his head very hard and approached her upset grandmother.

"Hi grandma, I missed you and I hope your day is great," he said and smiled apologetically.

"This is what you have to remember, grandson, even if we are rich we should not lose  our courtesy. Take note of that," said Mrs. Chanda. She is quick to get upset when her grandson does something unpleasant, especially when he ignores what she taught based on his behavior. But he knew that if Raymart was like that, he would definitely have a problem.

"You didn't come home last night, where did you sleep?"

Raymart frowned and slumped on the sofa. "On Marigold's house."

"What? You're so fast, grandson! That's wrong!" Her grandmother kicked him and he immediately fell off.

"Grandma, I just slept and we didn't do anything. Honestly, Marigold didn't know that I went to them at midnight. Her mother opened the door for me because I knocked on their door a few times and that's it, just at the door. I'm already asleep, because I got drunk, "Raymart said, so Mrs. Chanda was even more bored. She kicked him again.

"You're a rude child! The day when you do that, you will definitely get married against your will!" said Mrs. Chanda exclaimed.

"I just slept in their house, what's wrong with that?"

"Going to someone else's house! What did you think and why did you do that?"

"I just wanted to annoy that woman."

"Oh, stupid child. If you want to have a bride, flirt! It's like you haven't had exes! Don't tarnish the name of the Javiera!"

"Eh, I'm just trying to joke on her. And also, I am really annoyed with her attitude."

"Relationships, don't make jokes. Don't do that in a very desperate way."

"I don't like her. I despise her."

"Don't play around! You didn't know Marigold's story before you met her. I get annoyed every time I think about how her ex -boyfriend would embarrass her in front of so many people."

"Huh? What happened?"

At this point, Raymart was suddenly curious.

"While Marigold was at the fast food with her boyfriend, I heard her scream and the man left her because she couldn't give her 'herself', you know what that was. I felt sorry for Marigold, she cried that day but I advised her that her ex-boyfriend is not worthy of her tears. "

Raymart's heart seemed to pound at what he learned from Mrs. Chanda. He suddenly remembered how he had told Marigold back then as a very superficial person. He seemed to feel guilty for the omitted words.

"If that man loves her, she will be loved without recompense and that will be waiting for her." Raymart sighed.

"Grandma, please join me to visit Marigold's house. I want to apologize to her and to her family as well."

"Okay, now you know huh? Don't do that again, don't make such impulsive actions." Mrs. Chanda laughed at him when she saw him grimace as if he had been drinking 1 liter of vinegar.

"What's with that frown? I think Marigold is a wife material."

"I feel like if we stay together and have children, it will definitely not be a good outcome."

Raymart smirked.

"Marigold is beautiful, her beauty is really Filipina and natural. That's the real beauty unlike Clarize whose beauty is fake!."

"Grandma, Clarize is naturally beautiful, she is from a foreign race."

"I don't care about her pretty face. Her attitude sucks a lot."

Mrs. Chanda laughed out loud as she slapped Raymart's arm.

Raymart did nothing but exchange crisp laughs with his grandmother.

"It might be a blessing in disguise that you caught her with somebody else," Mrs. Chanda jokes.

"Oh my gosh grandma, that's why you're the best," Raymart giggled. He seems to be obsessed with the ridiculous jokes from his grandma.

"Even if your wife isn't beautiful, it's okay as long as she's kind. Believe in our Javiera race! Our grandson's blood is not ugly and brave! Just fight!"

Raymart was shaken by what his grandmother said and still could not get rid of the silly laughter between them.
