As the Kiyoshi and the man square off, the other men that accompanied him surrounded Kiyoshi. With all the commotion, the villagers gather around, watching what's going on. As the men surrounding Kiyoshi laughs at him. The man with the board sword walks up to Kiyoshi boasting about his might and overwhelming strength compared to the smaller Kiyoshi. With boastful pride and confidence, the man brings down his board sword upon Kiyoshi. Kiyoshi flicks his sword up, then down with his thumb in one smoothing and quick motion.
Halfway through the man's swing of his sword, his arm became served. As the man fell to his knees screaming in agonizing pain, clutching on to the rest of his arm with his next hand. As he continues screaming, the other men armed their weapons to attack. Only to be lapidified in fear as they notice that the tips of their weapons, including the small firearms they brought, were cut off.
"When did he do that, its impossible to move that fast?" Mumbles the men to others in utter confusion. "He did it when he flicked his sword," remarked Giang to himself as he watches on.
"Do you want me to kill them?" asked Kiyoshi. "No, we are a peaceful people. I would like for you to stop that man from bleeding out, thank you," replied Giang, a little annoyed at the thought of murdering someone.
Kiyoshi, slightly disappointed with Giang's response, agrees and walks over to the man who is bleeding out on the roadway. Suddenly Kiyoshi's hand ignites in a red hot blazing flame which used to press down the man's remaining arm. As Kyoshi's flame hand is pressed on the man's bleeding arm, he screams of both agonizing and excruciating to hear as the pores and hairs of the villager rose with everyone second the man cried out.
After a few seconds, the flame on Kiyoshi's hand went out, and the bleeding from the man's arm stopped. "There I stop the bleeding now go before I change my mind," shouted Kiyoshi as the men scurried and scampered all over the place. Kiyoshi flicked his sword once more, cutting the belts of the men's pants causing them to fall in panic.
As the men flee pants less, Kiyoshi smiled and commented that weak men should prey on weaker men to feel strong but should work to become strong. Kiyoshi picks Giang off the ground. "You didn't think you went too far with those men?" Giang asked. "No, they started it and all I did was assert myself in order to protect you and survive," replied Kiyoshi.
"Yes, that may be true, but the moment you kicked him off of me, I was safe and you and I both know a thousand men of their caliber can't do anything to you. So you could have left them be without cutting off that man's arm, young samurai. Giang noted. " I know that all your life that this is your way of surviving young samurai and thou I do not fault your way of life. These people have never seen such violence before in all their lives besides today." Giang continued.
"I understand am sorry I disrespected you and your people." Kiyoshi apologized. " It is ok young one. You did what you knew was best in your heart and I can never fault a young person for that. But what type of elder will I be if I don't guide the future? Hmmm." remarked Giang with a big smile on his face. "Come, child, let's continue our conversation and formulate a plan to save the gorillas," remarked Giang as the two men continue with their previous conversation.
Later that night, as Kiyoshi and Lilly await the gorillas when Giang appears behind them. " you are late!" laughed Kiyoshi. "These old bones aren't what they used to be and who is this beautiful young lady," replied Giang. " Am Lilly pleasure to mee...." but before Lilly could finish her sentence Giang interjects as to why she is naked and he must run back to his home to get something to cover her up on this chilly night. Lilly tries to explain that she is a demon and does not feel hot or cold, but Giang had already taken off with surprisingly blinding speed back to the village.
As the pair wait for Giang to return, the gorillas arrive and Kiyoshi and gorillas engage in discussion with Lilly translating. With both parties discussing their plans for tomorrow, Giang returns with a robe over his shoulder. He quickly sprints over to Lilly and throws it over her. "There now, child, you won't catch a cold and shame on you young samurai for allowing a lady to be naked in such climate like this or at all. These young men only know about war and fighting nowadays and have forgotten how to be gentlemen to women. I do apologize for his lack of knowledge my lady." remarked Giang, who was upset with Kiyoshi's actions or lack thereof towards Lilly.
Lilly giggled as she thanked the old man for his efforts. Giang, who, for the first time, saw the gorillas, dropped to his knees and bowed before them. "Great linh hồn rừng of our lands. Please forgive us for not stepping in to save your home. I Am saddened you are in distress and beg your forgiveness as we work towards a solution to unite you with your home." expressed Giang as tears roll down the elderly man's face.
"linh hồn rừng?" Asked Kiyoshi. "It means forest spirit. Remember Giang's people worship them as great spirits as they are the closes thing to their savior. So to Giang, he and his people have failed their beloved spirits and thus have dishonored their ancestors by doing so," remarked Lilly.
The Alpha gorilla approaches Giang and begins sniffing him curiously. After a few sniffs, the great ape licks Giang as a sign of adornment. Soon, the other apes gather and begin doing the same. Giang laughs and smiles as his heart is warm by the fact that his beloved spirits have treated him with such kindness despite the circumstances.
"So we all understand the plan tomorrow," remarked Kiyoshi, interrupting. The Alpha gorilla roars and Lilly comments. He wonders if the plan will work. Giang reassured me it will. But Kiyoshi interjects and states that if plan A doesn't work, Plan B will as he grips his sword. "But it shouldn't come to it," remarks Giang as the two parties part ways for the night.
Early the next morning, Kiyoshi and Giang arrive at the entrance of the mine. "Are you sure you want to do this?" asked Kiyoshi. "Am sure a peaceful resolution is always better than one forged from violence," remarked Giang. "What if peace doesn't work? I know men like them all too well greed controls their minds," remarked Kiyoshi in doubts that they can find a peaceful solution in the situation. "Then we will do it your way, young samurai, if it comes to it," replied Giang as they entered the mine.
A large group of armed men soon surrounded them, some of which were the same men for yesterday, including the man who lost his arm. "Giang, I see you come to explain to me what happened yesterday and see you brought a friend." shouted someone. Both Kiyoshi and Giang turn to see it was the same short man Kiyoshi saw when he first laid eyes on the mine. "Mr reeks I come to talk to you about....." remarked Giang, who could not finish his sentence as the man interjected.
"Is this the man who cut off your arm?" the short man asked. "Yes, Mr. Reeks he is." Replied the one-armed man. "So have you come to hand over this man Giang and beg for forgiveness?" asked Mr. Reeks. "Yesterday was a big misunderstanding Mr. Reeks but no haven't come to hand over anyone sir," replied Giang as Kiyoshi stood still, ready to attack.
"Then why the fuck are you before me Giang?" shouted Mr. Reek who was annoyed. "I need you to stop mining it by destroying the gorillas' home, sir. replied Giang. "Fuck them gorillas. They are lucky I didn't turn them into handbags to sell. I will not leave this mine. In fact, get out before I kill you." shouted Mr. Reeks. Kiyoshi, who was getting annoyed, took a step forward before being stopped by Giang. "Sir, they lived here before us. You need to respect that. replied Giang. "I only respect money and power, none of which you or those dirty apes have over me," shouted Mr. Reeks. "Then we will have to stop you by force. Then what a shame," replied Giang.
"Stop this you old fool," replied Mr. Reeks as he pulled out a handgun and shot Giang in the chest. As Giang bled on the ground, Kiyoshi rushed to his aid but was taken back by Tyrook who rushed out of the sword to Giang's aid.
As Tyrook held the dying Giang in his arms, the men of the mine were in shock and disbelief as to what creature stood before them. Giang, using the last of his strength, thanked Tyrook for appearing to him before he dies and that he had no regrets for what he did and that peace is always better than violence before going silent. With Giang's lifeless body in his hand, Tyrook shouted to Kiyoshi that he owes him, as he promised that no more villagers will die. But here lies another lifeless body in his arms. "You owe me this one, kiddo. I need to do this," remarked Tyrook enraged, but what just happen. "Fine," replied Kiyoshi as Tyrook's once green eye turn a bloodshot red as Tyrook pierced the skies with a bloodcurdling roar that echoed throughout the entire mine.
The time for peaceful resolutions has ended, the time for death, and destruction has arrived.
