Love is just a letter of four words but holds strong meanings. It has different meanings, different names and importance. It varies from person to person and relationship to relationship. For me, love is all about calmness and relaxation because when you are in love with a person, that person becomes your home. Just like me, everyone defines it in their way.
I feel sad when I heard people saying that they don't believe in love or love doesn't exist just because someone has not been kind to them or has not reciprocated their feeling towards them. People often confuse it with lust or just a mere attraction. I have seen people married to each other since God knows when still living with love and compassion towards each other and I have seen couples being in relation for a few months to only end it in the end by saying it was way too much for them or you are not the one.
The thing is love is not always roses and rainbows and butterflies in your stomach. Sometimes it is like a bed of thorns and you will need the patience of a saint. Being a hopeless romantic naturally leads to you daydreaming. Well, it's not that bad until and unless you are getting late for the work which your mother has handed over to you like in my case I am. My mother has asked or you can just say ordered me to buy vegetables from the market. So here I am walking through the congested and narrow alleyways of Banaras and trying to pick up the pace.When I reached my destination I see a couple of vegetable vendors in the vicinity. So I reach the first one and start picking and checking out the fresh vegetables which my mother has told me to. Buying vegetables is not something I hate but it is not my favourite thing either. Not because of the bargaining but because of the calculation. I suck at maths. I know that it's not the end of the world and another thing is I don't want to stress my mind. After paying the amount to the vendor I notice that I have forgotten to buy potatoes so I asked the vendor to pack some potatoes in another bag and asked him the amount, he told me that will be 135INR and I had 200INR with me so I gave him and was waiting for him to give me back the change. He gave me 65INR as change and I was like bhaiya(brother) it should be 70INR not 60 and then he said: "no mam it will be 65 only". But I was in no mood to listen and kept saying that give me 5 rupees more and he kept on denying it. In the meanwhile, I noticed that a guy approached and asked "what is happening here?" The vendor told him everything and I noticed a hint of amusement in his eyes after knowing the full story. From his looks, I can tell he was 26 or 27 years old and 5'10" or 5'11" tall. His eyes were a little brownish which was a beholding sight and had stubble on his face. My thoughts were broken when I heard the throat-clearing sound from the guy itself whom I have been staring since God knows when. Now there was a hint of a smile on his lips and by his smile, I knew that he caught me gawking at him. Great I just embarrassed myself in front of two people. Trying to avoid the situation I asked the vendor for my 5 rupees again and then the guy beside me decided to chime in the conversation "You know, the vendor is right, the change will be 65." I scoffed at him "Pardon me?". Then he put his hand in one of his pockets and got his phone out of his pocket and opened it and did something in it for a couple of seconds and then showed it to me. Oh my Golly Molly, Now I knew my mistake. I mentally slapped myself for it. I just made fool of myself again and now both of them were laughing. My ego was hurt deeply and in the heat of the moment, I said that "Hey! Not everyone is Archimedes." As early as possible I tried to run away from there after taking my so-called change back. I could see both of them trying to control their laughter.
When I turned around just because of my curiosity, I can still see him smiling and looking my way and then he did something which I couldn't believe. He winked at me, the nerve of that guy. I just rushed out of that place so as not to further embarrass myself.
