SHLOK'S POV
The next morning when I woke up I was super excited about the Finding who the hell is Mallika adventure even though I knew that there are very rare chances to find and track Mallika still I thought of giving it a try.
After having breakfast I went out for some fresh air because it was around 8:00 am the morning, the perfect time for a walk. After some time of walking, I got bored and decided to go to the Assi Ghat which is quite famous in Banaras.

Assi Ghat is famous for many things. Let's just say, it's a saying here that whoever takes a dip here will get the same virtues earned by visiting all other pilgrimages and it is one of the most peaceful places in Banaras. It is a breathtaking site and I was just mesmerized by the beauty in front of me and lost in my thoughts. I decided to sit on the stair which was nearest to the water, so I could dip my feet in the water. Suddenly or I would rather say abruptly my thoughts were broken by the sound of a thump and a huge amount of water was splashed on my face and shirt. I was shocked what the hell just happened?
I instantly opened my eyes, never expected this to happen but when I saw the person right in front of me, I would say I was surprised not shocked. I instantly recognised her and from her facial expressions, I could tell that she had also recognised me. There was a little blush on her face which was making her look cute. There was eye contact between us but only for a couple of seconds then she dropped her gaze and she started taking steps towards me but there was some kind of hesitation in her steps and from the look on her face I could tell that she was embarrassed. I didn't expect her to approach me as I knew how stubborn she could be from our last encounter.
When she was standing a few steps away from me, I noticed that she was not wearing any make-up and accessories but still looking beautiful. There was only a locket with black thread around her neck, which might be a holy one and she was wearing white Salwar kameez which was soaked in water and water was flowing from her hair, tucking her hair behind her ear she looked at me through her eyelashes. She was incredibly shy today.
"Sorry" she whispered and I heard it. "What? I didn't hear.". I wanted to pull her leg that's why I asked her again. She knew I heard it so this time she looked directly into my eyes and tried to look brave and said "sorry" firmly.
I smiled at her, didn't want to look like a creep so I just stood there staring at her for a couple of seconds and sighed and said "you know my shirt is soaked in water and the place where I am staying is quite far from here and it would not be good if I went like this to my place"
I knew it was not a big deal, I could go like this to my grandparent's home without any problem but I was making excuses to talk to her. She took a few seconds to speak and then said "my brother is here and he has some clothes with him. And you and he both are of the same size I guess. I can lend you one of his shirts." I instantly denied it and said "no, it's okay. I can manage on my own but thank you for asking" I said with a smile on my face. Her face brightened up when I said thank you and in return, she also gave me a little smile, said "alright then" nodded her head while saying that and turned around and left. I was a bit disappointed that she didn't turn around this time like she did that day in the end but it was alright. It's not like we are going to meet again.
I decided to wander here for some more time until my shirt has soaked up properly. Then I will head home.
TARA'S POV
"When I left him there standing alone, I could still feel his gaze on my back but this time I did not turn around to look back at him. Because I did not want to initiate anything which I was not ready for. I knew that I had a little bit crush on him but I did not want to show that to him. I didn't want to make fool of myself again in front of him like I had already done more than twice and it was not like we are going to meet again, it was just a mere coincidence.
Brushing my thoughts aside, I decided to enjoy the moments with my family. I heard my father asking me "where were you and what took you so long?"
My heart stopped for a second but then I thought it was nothing wrong in telling my father about that guy but decided not to tell him and lied that "I saw a friend of mine from college there and we had a small chit chat" my father seemed to buy the lie as truth. "Come on, let's go home now, both of you have college to attend and your father needs to go to the office, we have enjoyed enough today" I heard my mother saying.
We all changed and packed our clothes and headed towards our car.
When we all get settled in the car, I was sitting in the backseat of the car with my mother while my brother was driving and my father was sitting beside him in the passenger seat. There was heavy traffic on the road so our car stopped. I started to look here and there on the road and saw a familiar figure walking alongside the road with both of his hands in his pockets and I instantly recognised him, he was the same guy, I noticed that I don't even know his name but he looks quite good with a nice physique. I was still staring at him but didn't notice that he was also staring at me. This time none of us was ready to drop our gaze down. Neither I nor he was smiling but just held each other's gaze. For a second I was lost but then the car started and I came to my senses and after some time, he disappeared. I was disappointed and sad, I don't know why but I was and I knew I should not be but I was. There was something in his eyes, his state was so intense that it gave me goosebumps.
I was confused and getting frustrated why in the world am I even thinking about him? Probably even we will meet again. So I decided to rest my head on the seat of the car and closed my eyes.
Deep down in my heart, I was somewhere hoping to meet him again.
