I shook off the pounding in my heart. That sweet smile had managed to shake my taste for Yasmin.
'Bagas, remember she's not the girl of your dreams.'
I quickly resuscitated myself from that strange taste. I stepped my feet leaving Yasmin. I had to get to Bojonegoro immediately before school class started in order to meet with Reza.
After a journey of nearly two hours more, I finally arrived at the gate of the junior high school where Reza taught.
The morning was still quite dark, the misty morning air made the cold air even more piercing into my bones. Even though I'm now wearing pretty thick clothes.
'Reza if it weren't for you I wouldn't have come here!'
I rubbed both my hands, to ease the cold rsa that came.
An hour I had waited, until those students in blue-white uniforms had walked into the classroom. But the woman I loved so much didn't show up.
The light of the sun warmed my body. The cold air gradually dissipated. The white mist that blocked the view was gone. But my lover didn't come either.
"Mr. Bagas!" said a woman who was about to walk in towards the gate.
"Uh, Mrs. Tari!" I said kindly and a little surprised.
"Waiting for Mrs. Reza, huh?"
"Yes, Miss."
"Oh, but it seems that Reza's mother didn't go to school. Because of that incident!" Mrs. Tari paused her remarks.
"What does your mean?" I stared curiously.
"Yes, Mrs. Reza had a fight with Mrs. Nining when we all attended the wedding of Mr. Suntoro, the teacher here too," she said.
"How can it be?" both of my eyes rounded.
"Of course, because of Mrs. Nining's chatty remarks, it made Mrs. Reza so upset. So there was a quarrel between them. And mrs. Nining accidentally pushed Mrs. Reza's body. Finally, Mrs. Reza's temple hit the end of the table and was forced to sew it."
My heart began to panic, without listening to Mrs. Tari further story, I immediately left the aged widow going to Reza's house.
____
I rode my bike quickly. It only took thirty minutes that I had arrived at the front of Reza's yard.
"Bagas, isn't it early in the morning?" said Papa Reza surprised at my arrival.
"Good morning, om!" I bowed my body slightly forward, paying homage to the man.
"yes, Bagas morning. What's the matter this early in the morning has stopped by Om's house!" The man has always been warm to me.
I smiled slightly before answering Papa Reza's question. "Is reza at home, Om?" I said.
"uhm... Reza, there is, just come in. Again in the room he said his head was dizzy so he didn't come to work," explained the man letting me into his house like my own.
I walked through Reza's two-story house, climbing the steps leading to Reza's room which was upstairs.
I opened the door of Reza's room, it can be seen that the beautiful girl with fair skin, beautiful face is still asleep on the bed with a blanket covering her body.
I dropped my body sitting crouched beside Reza's bed. Observing Reza's beautiful face that seemed to increase in beauty when he was asleep.
"Yasmin!"
Deg!
I rubbed both my eyes. when the shadow of yasmin's face that actually appeared before me. It's so weird this brain of mine.
"Baby, get up!" I shook Reza's body slowly hoping that Reza would wake up.
"Bagas!" Reza opened her eyes looking at me with a smile.
"I miss you, baby. When did you come home?" said Reza in a lazy tone.
"Honey did I hear it right?" I said incredulously incredulously at what Reza had just said. Because all this time she had never said such romantic words.
"What?" Reza was taken aback. Both eyes are getting wider and wider open.
"Ouch!" Reza touched her aching head.
I smiled grimacingly, like a prince being worshipped by a beautiful princess. My heart soared to Nirawa.
"Since when are you here, Bagas?" asked Reza making me realize from wishful thinking.
"I just arrived, baby. This morning I waited for you at school but you didn't come. Mrs. Tari said you're out of noise with your friends, huh?" I asked gently rubbing Reza's forehead, who was still lying on the bed.
The girl's lips instantly pursed. She pulled her blanket to cover her entire body, leaving her naturally beautiful face.
"yes, I'm upset with Mrs. Nining!" she stalled with an annoyed look on her face.
Her eyes were seen condensing with an ups and downs chest.
"Indeed what did Mrs. Nining say to you?" I asked.
"Nining said I was an old virgin in front of all the invited guests present. Am I ashamed, Bagas!" The tears that filled Reza's eyes finally fell also wet her cheeks.
I threw out a heavy breath, eager for me to hug her sobbing body, but I was afraid that the girl would be angry with me. I decided to wipe away the tears that flooded her cheeks only.
"Be patient, baby!" I'm trying to cheer up.
'It's your own fault to reject my proposal.'
"You yourself why not come back here. Even though I'm going to take you to the show. Just try that if you come along at that time, surely no one will make fun of me," Reza protested.
"I'm sorry baby!" I retorted. Reza just kept silent with an annoyed face.
"Lately mom likes to be lonely when I..."
"If you're lonely just ask your mother to remarry," Reza replied interrupting my remark with an annoyed face.
'I don't know, my spoiled girl really likes to talk as long as you can.'
"Never mind, I'm sorry. I promise I won't repeat it again." I persuaded Reza.
"Promise!" Reza pulled his hand out from under the covers and gave her little finger to me, I welcomed the pliable finger as the bond of our promise.
However, I laughed slightly in my heart. Looking at my finger that is intertwined with Reza's finger, why is it so different, black and white. It doesn't matter. the important thing is that Reza accepts me for who I am.
I smiled happily at the sight that Reza had returned to the way he was.
"This week you are not allowed to go home. Next Saturday there is an invitation to my friend's wedding banquet, so you have to accompany me to come there." Reza asked with a pleading face.
"yes, I promise to accompany you," I replied rubbing Reza's head.
___
I was ready with clothes to go to the party, a batik shirt with black pants. I didn't forget to comb my hair so that it looked neat and I also shaved the fine hairs around my jaw, until it looked clean.
The phone that was on my desk just kept vibrating. An anonymous number appeared on the flashing phone screen.
I ignored the phone. Today I don't want to be disturbed. I had to keep my promise to go to Reza's friend's wedding.
My phone vibrated again. Indicates if a message has arrived. I lazily looked at the message.
[Bagas, hurry home mom is sick. I just took mom to the hospital. Mom is looking for you all the time.] Write a message from that anonymous number.
My heart seemed to stop beating. The bad premonition haunted my mind even more. Soon I contacted the one who had sent me a message.
"Hello," said the owner of the soft voice on the other end of the phone. From her voice, she could be heard panicking once.
"Yas, what's wrong with mom?" I asked full of anxiety.
"The doctor said the mother had heart swelling, Bagas!"
"Heart?" I replied in shock.
"You'd better go home soon, Bagas. Because since then mom was looking for you," Yasmin replied, sounding tears.
"You take it easy Yas, I'll be home soon," I replied ending the call.
My mind is getting more and more chaotic. The shadow of the mother seemed to fill my head, A bad premonition wrapped me up in fear. In this world there is nothing more meaningful than mother.
Damn, the heavy rain seemed unwilling to be friendly to me. Along the way Bojonegoro Purwodadi my body was almost frozen wet with rainwater. Surely after this I will also fall ill.
I have arrived at the courtyard of a simple house that belongs to me. The vibration of the phone wrapped in plastic in my pants pocket didn't stop during the return trip.
'Reza.' surely he was looking for me at the moment.
I picked up the phone and then pressed the green button from its screen.
"Bagas, where are you? Why don't you keep your promise. You didn't pick me up, because of you my show failed." Reza continued to rant without caring about my current persaan.
"Baby, I'm sorry. I can't accompany you. I have to go home to purwodadi, my mother suddenly entered the hospital." I tried to explain to Reza.
"It's always been like that, I hate your excuse, Bagas," Reza replied in a slightly smug voice. Then the phone call was interrupted.
