Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

The atmosphere fell silent again. The sound of the sound system accompanying my wedding has been turned off since last afternoon. Meanwhile, the biggest tent that mom ordered, has been packed since the wedding ceremony.

Many of the neighbors who helped prepare for the big event have also returned to their homes. It's become commonplace in my place, when there are neighbors having parties. Then they will come in droves to help.

No one knows if I'm just married under (Siri's) hands with Yasmin. Everyone has been fooled by my and mom's plans.

After the event was over I quickly walked into the room. I need time to be alone. I feel very guilty about Reza. Her image just as clearly filled my mind. But I can't forget the incident when she refused. It really hurts so much. If only Reza hadn't behaved like that, surely none of this would have happened.

The scent of shampoo wafted from my nose. Fragrant and refreshing.

Deg!

I just remembered that now I am not alone in this room.

I quickly sat down on the bed. Staring in surprise at the red hooded woman sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Hey, since when are you here?" I said irritably. The reverie made me unaware of when the girl walked into my room.

"Why?" replied Yasmin, her face visibly confused.

"This is my room, so you shouldn't sleep here!" I said in an annoyed tone. My face was red, with anger.

I looked at the clock at 12 o'clock in the evening. It must be that everyone has fallen asleep from exhaustion after the event.

I thought mom would take Yasmin to sleep with her. But this woman's why came into my room instead. This must be mom's idea again.

Yasmin trailed off not answering my question. Her face was downcast, staring at the fingers she was playing with.

"You just sleep with mom, there!" I drove Yasmin away.

Yasmin looked at me with a surprised face. "That's impossible, sir, ehm.." Yasmin seemed to be confused calling my name.

I got up from the top of the bed. Ignoring the explanation Yasmin would tell me. I quickly walked towards the closed door of the room.

"Don't!" said Yasmin yelling slightly. "Mom said there are still many relatives outside, so it is impossible for us to sleep in different rooms. Moreover..." Yasmin stopped her remarks for quite a while.

I stared with an annoyed face.

"Why?" I retorted narrowing his eyes.

"We are married and there is no way we can sleep in a different place." Yasmin said very carefully.

I exhaled in annoyance. "Go to bed first then!" I said without looking at Yasmin. I twisted my body towards the bathroom.

It should be my first night with Yasmin. But never expect I'll do that with him. It seems that Yasmin is also aware that this marriage is just a playful thing. The proof is that he didn't demand anything from me.

After finishing cleaning up, I quickly returned to the room. Because tomorrow morning I must have arrived in Bojonegoro according to the request of Reza, my lover.

I took the Mattress floor from inside the closet. The mattress was quite soft and able to warm me up tonight. At least I slept in the same bed with Yasmin. Surely that woman would be happy if she could sleep with me. Basis..!

"Bagas!"

The soft voice sounded more and more obvious. Awakened me from a momentary drowsiness. Slowly I opened my eyes, Yasmin's shadow appeared in my gaze.

"Why?" I replied lazily.

"You just sleep here. Let me sleep below," Yasmin said looking at me pityingly.

"What?" my eyes opened wide. Didn't I hear it wrong?

"You want to sleep here?" I insisted, afraid that Yasmin was just delirious or wanted me to accompany her to sleep on the bed. I don't know.

"You just sleep here, let me sleep there." Yasmin repeated her remarks.

I smiled happily. Almost my bones froze from sleeping on the Floor mattress. Now Yasmin actually offered me to move on the bed.

"Come down quickly!" I said a little irritably. I was already standing by the bed. With my pillow and my bolster.

The girl immediately got off the bed. Without answering anything.

"Why not just from earlier, just trouble me!" I grumbled as I climbed onto the bed. I threw some pillows and bolsters for Yasmin who was already lying on the floor mattress that was beside the bed.

I started to close my eyes. I can't wait to go back to Bojonegoro to see Reza.

By the time the dawn call to prayer I was already awake. But I didn't see Yasmin in the room. The mattress he used to sleep was no longer beside the bed.

"Where did the girl go? Or lest he run away from home. Because it doesn't feel at home sleeping on the floor. Yes, if that's true I'm very happy," I said happily imagining if it had happened.

Engraved with a smile on the corner of my lips, there was a sense of happiness if it really happened.

The sound of the door opening cast my gaze on the girl who appeared from behind the open door. Instantly I bowed listlessly.

"Damn it, why did he come again!" I said quietly. Hope Yasmin who walked towards me didn't listen to him.

"Bagas, I have made breakfast for you!" Yasmin moved the food from the tray to the nightstand that was next to the bed. Then twisted his body towards the door.

"Wait!" I said with emphasis.

Yasmin twisted her body towards me. Staring at me. "Why? You need something? Yasmin asked kindly.

I threw my cynical face out of Yasmin's face for a moment. "No!" I jerked. "Don't you think that preparing food and everything I need can make me love you, huh!" I held up my index finger at Yasmin's face.

"No," Yasmin retorted. "I just prepared breakfast for you doesn't mean you have to love me. Because I'm just carrying out my obligations as a wife. That's it," Yasmin explained at length. "Oh yes, another one, the matter of love is your business, I can't manage it. But if you like me, I'm very happy." A smile was engraved from Yasmin's lips at the end of her sentence.

My head suddenly felt dizzy at Yasmin's remark which made me even more annoyed. "Hey, Yasmin, you should know, yes, this marriage is only temporary. Next year I'm going to divorce you, remember that?" I said stressfully.

The girl did not answer. He just smiled, then twisted his body towards the door of the room. I clucked in annoyance, what does Yasmin mean?

---

I was ready with my official uniform and a bag that was on top of my back.

"Mom, Bagas set off first!" I shouted to the mother who was in the kitchen.

"Bagas, Bagas. Wait!" mom took my steps away.

The woman walked quickly towards me followed by Yasmin who followed her behind her back.

"Bagas, where are you going?" asked mom looking at me curiously.

"Work!"

"Oh my god, Bagas, what would people say if you left the house. You are a newlywed, Bagas!" Mom pulled the bag from the top of my back.

"Mom, Bagas has to work!" I protested.

"Can't Bagas, during this week you have to stay at home. Period!" insisted the mother with a face beginning to get angry. He pulled my bag and carried it in.

"Mom!" i disregarded it at all.

"OH my god, how is this, surely Reza will be angry with me!" I rubbed my face, annoyed.
