Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Beginning

"Alright here we go. From the top. First of all, my name's Roger Franklin. Until yesterday, I was nothing but your average white collar. Now you must be wondering, well Roger how did you get here? Fret not I'll spill the beans.

A bit of information about me. I was an enthusiast of manga and webnovels and anime. They were my escape from reality, you might.

'What was I escaping from you ask?'

Well, how do I put this. My life sucked, to say the least. I hated my job. My love life was in shambles. My salary was barely enough to keep me afloat. I swear my landlady was married to the devil himself. Depression hit like a train from nowhere. And the list goes and on.

So these forms of media were my relief from these situations. When I opened a book it was like a world was being formed right in my mind. Capable of immersing you into the stories of that world and holding your imagination captive until the very end of the book, unless of course it was a bad book, then you'll just want to throw that shit away. But I believe you get the picture.

As for how I got here. Well I meant the one and only, ruler of chaos himself. Bringer of tears. Perpetrator of trauma himself. The Isekai sending machine himself, past, present and future. Truck kun.

I know... I got hit by a truck. Did it hurt? I just had my soul pushed out my body by a massive vehicle of death. Damn right it hurt.

But I digress. All that matters is that I'm here. Well, wherever here is." I say as I look around the room I'm in. I find that I'm in a small room with white walls surrounding the walls. I looked behind me to find the bed I was lying on was quite small.

I changed my line of sight to look at my arms to find an arm connected to some wires which in turn was connected to a machine giving out beeping noises every few seconds.

It didn't take much time, or thinking for that matter, for me to figure out that I was in a hospital. Now the question is why was I in said hospital. I had to find out.

I tried to stand up in my quest for said answers. Bad decision. I was immediately hit by a bout of dizziness so bad it almost sent me out of this body as well.

Like some weird recap, flashes and images kept flowing into my brain, which now added a headache into the mix. My god was it terrible. Now a headache and dizziness , individually are some of the weakest conditions I've ever had to deal with. But when combined , may the gods have mercy on your soul.

For the next 3 minutes or so, I just sat there. Assimilating these memories of Garrett, the former owner of this body. He found out a lot about this country and world and it's inhabitants.

Before he could assimilate any feather the door to the room opened and in walked, a young female walked into the room.

"Oh you're awake. Mr Garrett, we were about to whisk you away, for some tests in order to check if your physical health is on par. Fret not sir, we just to run some test and return you to our your bed safely. "The nurse said with a big smile across the face.

"Well ok. I guess I have nothing to lose." I said as I climbed on to a wheelchair brought by the nurse and taken to do various tests on my body.

I didn't know what awaited me in this brand new world, but one thing was for sure. This was going to be a lot of fun. I may not know everything, but that, that is something I'm willing to bet money on.
