The next day, Maria was allowed ample rest by Zeronis. Her breakfast was even served in her room by the servants under his order. It was almost ridiculous to be served like that when she was very capable of walking towards the dining hall herself. A doctor even came into the room and examined her physical condition.
By the time Zeronis came after the doctor left with a good note of her condition, she sprang upon him with a remark.
"You treated me like I'd been in a car crash, Villan. I can walk by myself even."
"We never know."
Maria sighed and left the bed. "I will go fetch my medicine at the hotel."
"I'll go with you."
"Don't treat me like I lost my leg over that jump again."
Zeronis only shrugged at her, not promising her anything at all.
Later in the afternoon, both of them got in the car that Zeronis will be driving with her in the passenger seat. They drove away from the estate towards the hotel.
