"Oh shut up. Let me eat in peace and don't let me gag on that sordid details." Maria said, concentrating on her food.
"I'm telling you what I saw for myself. Do you know what the undercover medics said to me-"
"You know what? Shush! You're ruining my appetite. Like bro, cut it off."
James held his hands in defeat. "I'm just saying. We're almost in the good part about what happened.
Maria sweetly smiled at him. "You really find this amusing, don't you? Why don't you just leave me alone? Huh?"
"I love teasing you."
"I love to swat your face with this spoon of mine." she gestured to him which he just laughed off.
James disappeared and Maria couldn't be more thankful to that as she continued to fill herself with food. Her thoughts sometimes would drift off towards one man in particular but she always shook the thoughts away.
That man betrayed her.
And betrayal didn't sit well with her at all.
