Jal's POV (Continuation)
Layla bolted up from the bed, still holding Hunter's neck. Good that our alpha blocked her other hand holding the dagger.
"Layla! What are you doing?!" the girl named Maia screamed.
"Don't come near her," Rahla said, not letting go of Maia.
The girl turned to Rahla this time and beat his chest hard.
"What did you do to my friend! This is all your fault!" Maia cried and her punches became weaker. Her shoulders shook as she cried.
Malah and Kholi started stepping forward when Layla succeeded in wounding Hunter.
"No one touches her!" Hunter warned us in case we attack Layla.
"Step away from her for now, Hunter." The chief added. "There is no talking on the cursed wolf. We need to sedate her or make her sleep again."
