"He turns? What do you mean by that?" Kanali asked.
Jal looked in my direction first before he sat on the bench across ours. He clasped his hands together in front, leaning his arms on his knees.
"I should start from the time we took Layla by force but it's gonna take us long. So I'll cut the chase. The king sent some of us to stop Hunter from his rampage in Orc nation. Our alpha is headstrong and won't even allow anyone to come in his way. Not even his mate was able to stop him and leave the orc nation at once."
"Wait. Hunter has a mate?" I raised.
"Yeah. Her name is Pristine." Jal answered. " Anyway, the orc king issued a warning to have all of the wolves leave his land or there would be war. So Rahla thought that Layla might be able to stop Hunter from going after city upon the city in pursuit of the vampires who unleashed the berserkers in Vado forest."
"Vampires?" Jira stopped Jal again.
