The Neo family just moved to town. They have been moving around a lot because of a dark secret.
Nancy is the only child of her parents. She is not like a normal teenager. She lives a special life.

I stuck my head out of the car as we enter the town, it was a quiet place, so quiet that I could count the number of people we saw as we drove to our new house. We drove to a big-story building.
Where dad starts to unload our belongings. The trees covering the surrounding made it perfect. The sound of creepy birds and the mountain behind the house made me fall in love with the place.
"Mum, do I need to go to school?" I ask my mum, trying hard to convince her not to send me to school.
"Nancy, you're in college now, you can't keep homeschooling," My mum insisted.
"Exactly mum, the more reason I don't need to go to school. I can help you at work or with any other thing." I said.
"Help me here Travis. Tell your daughter something, I'm tired of convincing her why she needs to go to school," my mum said as she walks out of the hall.
My dad had his eyes fixed on his monitor trying to focus, but he was already drawn into the conversation. He walks up to me and cupped my face in his palm.
"Honey, I understand you are scared, you have been homeschooled all your life and it is hard to start a real school now. Trust me, the people here are nice, it's a beautiful town, I am sure you will love it." explained my father.
I don't have any other choice, the subject was no longer open for discussion."Okay, dad." I whispered with a long face.
"This is my brave girl," he replied with a kiss on my forehead. "Now smile for me," he grins as I forced a smile. "That's more like it," and just like that, we have concluded the matter. I still have to pack my things and prepare for school.
I'm probably one of the few teenagers that would rather be homeschooled than go to a real school. I generally hate being with people and each time I'm around them they call me a freak.
I understand I'm different from everyone else. My family travels almost all the time, therefore, I have no friends and I don't even know how to make one. Mom will explain it's all because of my father's job.
My father is a researcher and I still can't figure out what his secret research is all about. He spends several hours in his study almost all the time.
My mother is a doctor and when I was a baby I was diagnosed with a serious illness which I still do not know what kind of sickness I'm suffering. My parents did the impossible to save me.
I will soon turn 18 and it seems like a miracle I'm still alive. My life has been empty. I'm far from being a social person.
My only friend was a dog my father gifted me when I turned 14 years of age, he passed away a year later. Oh yeah, I got a cat who also died.
My life was lonely while growing up and it still is but I lived in my small world where I find happiness so I'm not complaining. Yes, mom would say they are crazy but it excites me.
"Nancy, make sure you fix your room and come down for dinner," my mom said out loudly from the kitchen.
"What is the point when we will be moving out again," I whispered putting the last piece into the drawer. "I heard you, young lady," she yelled and I cling my tongue luckily she is not in the room to see it else she would have slapped the back of my head hard.
I fixed my room and went downstairs for dinner. "I'm sorry Nancy we don't have any groceries, I made pasta," my mum apologized.
"That's okay mum, I love pasta and it's not the first time we are having pasta for dinner," I whispered as I concentrate on my dinner.
