"Fine, fine. I'll talk." Linda said. What's the point in hiding it anyway, sooner or later she might just plead with Alexander to investigate more on it and that is one thing she didn't want. She didn't want Alexander to stick himself into this matter do it's best if she told her sister.
"We're listening." Gwen said with a raised brow.
"Well, won't you ask what you want to know?" Linda said and Gwen just rolled her eyes.
"Okay, were did you eat this meal first? You had said it. So don't you dare lie." Gwen threatened.
"I told you I'll talk, so be patient." She said and Gwen raised a brow waiting for her answer.
"Davish..." She finally blurted out and the two ladies hung their mouths open in shock. Elen who had been eating suddenly choked and Gwen immediately helped her with water.
'Cough.cough.cough. Did I hear right? She went to Davish? Why on earth did she go there when she's not allowed to leave this Kingdom without her father's permission?' Those were the thoughts that were constantly running through her head but she maintained her calm and kept her mouth shut but Gwen of course, couldn't even last for a minute.
"You left this kingdom without fathers' permission?! Oh, you're so going to be locked up in your room." Gwen said with a faint pity in her eyes.
"I won't be locked up in my room unless a blabber mouth I know who wouldn't just keep shut tells the king." She said as she gave her sister a meaningful look.
"Whatever, just tell me why you went there so I would consider if I'll tell father or not." She said but she was obviously joking.
"Gwen! Please." Linda said and Gwen smiled satisfactorily. It was very rare for her sister to plead, so this was one in a million opportunity
"Fine. I won't tell father a thing okay?" She said.
"Promise?"
"Gosh! I said I...arghh. Promise!" She said and rested her back violently on the couch.
Gwen raised a brow indicating she had to start talking and Linda heaved a sigh.
"Remember the time father had invited some business men from Davish to this kingdom?" Linda asked Gwen while Elen just looked back and forth listening to their conversation.
"Yes, why?"
"Remember Ludovico and his son?" Linda asked again and Gwen veins started to pop. What was all this?! Did this suddenly become a question and answer session?
Gritting her teeth, she spoke again. "Yes, why?...Linda when did this turn to a Q and A session?" Gwen asked, irritation clear in her voice.
"Relax. I'll tell you everything."
"You know Ludovico was the only man whom father accepted his business proposal." She asked and Gwen nodded again.
"Well, at that time Ludovico and father were having a discussion. I bumped into his son and we were both getting along. Within that short period of time, we became friends and..." She trailed off.
"And what? I'm losing it."
"After that day he visited, he secretly came to visit me and we spent a lot of time together." She said as a faint blush appeared on her face. Well, Gwen was shocked because she never spoke this to her and this was just like a lightning storm.
"Y-y-you both are in a secret relationship?" Gwen asked and Linda nodded.
"You know very well that father won't accept a relationship that is not chosen by him?!"
"Yes I know that, and that's why Ludovico's son planned to bring the marriage proposal to father through his own father." Linda said.
"You'd better hope father agreed with this. But what does Ludovico's son got to do with you going to dav...ish." She gasped and looked at her sister with a shocked expression.
"Oh my goodness. He took you there and that's how you ended up eating this disgu....I mean this delicacy?!" She asked and Linda just nodded.
"Wait, how did you leave the kingdom without being noticed?" Elen was the one who asked this time.
"Uhm...that should be a story for another time. So I'm sure I've filled up your curiosity drive right?" She said and Elen chuckled.
"It's okay. I wasn't that curious though." She said.
The room was enveloped in silence, each person occupied with their own thoughts. Elen knew Ludovico well. He was a well known and wealthy business man. Many kingdoms had always had him in mind which earned him the name. 'Dracular'. He indeed was just like a dragon, looking for attention and destroys everything when angered.
However, Elen didn't know his sons. He had two sons' and a daughter but she didn't know any of them. So she was kind of curious to know this man's name that stole the princess's heart. She didn't want to pry into her life but her curiosity got the better of her.
"Uhm...Linda you didn't tell us his name. I'm kind of curious to know this man that stole a stunning lady's heart. I hope he's as handsome as a god though." She teased.
"Yes, he really is handsome. He can even be on par with your husband." She said and chuckled.
"You wanted his name right?" She asked and Elen nodded. "Morris, his name is Morris." She said and Elen felt her whole brain shut down. Her body had gone numb and all she could hear that time was that name. 'Morris.'
....
'Morris, His name is Morris'. 'Morris, his name is Morris'. 'Morris, his name is Morris'. Were the words that kept chanting in her head.
Did she hear right or her mind's just playing games with her?? Is he the same Morris in her nightmare? Is he the same person? And was she the same woman in her dream? All of these questions needed to be answered. But when she looked at Linda, she felt relieved for a bit. Linda was much more taller than the woman in her dreams. Well, this was a relief in it's own way - Linda wasn't the woman, but what about Morris? Is he the same 'Morris' or it's just another man bearing the same name? Is this a sign that the Morris she's fallen in love with was danger? No, she shouldn't jump into conclusions. She should find more proof. Perhaps, she might even tell Amir to help investigate more on Ludovico's son.
Linda and Gwen noticed her sudden change of expression when she heard the name 'morris'. It didn't escape their notice, that she was restless and shocked. 'Does she know him?' Were the questions chanting in their heads.
"Are you alright? Do you perhaps know him?" Linda asked and Elen was a bit taken aback. She couldn't show them her restlessness. She needed to act fine and think about this in a more clear mind. She needed to calm her nerves to think about this. That's why she wouldn't act rashly with them. They shouldn't know about this.
"No, I'm fine. I don't know him. His name just sounded familiar with someone I knew in the past." She said, which only her knew it was a blatant lie. She gave them a warm and reassuring smile to show that everything's fine. She had learnt how to fake a smile without people even noticing so they immediately believed her and heaved a sigh.
"It's fine. Would you like to meet him someday?" Linda asked and Elen shook her head. She didn't want to see anyone she doesn't know! What if he really was the man in her dreams and he ends up kidnapping her? What then?! For now, she wouldn't act recklessly. When it's the right time to meet him, she would do that but this was not just the right time. She hadn't even told her husband about this yet!
"I'm sorry, I still have a lot of things to work on. I don't think I'll have much time." She explained her reason, which wasn't a lie. She still needed to figure out all of this. She didn't have much time left.
"It's okay we understand." Gwen spoke.
The room was silent once again until Linda spoke again, trying to lighten up the atmosphere.
"Where's Alexander? I haven't seen him in a while." Gwen said.
"Oh, he went out but he'll be back soon." She replied, looking downhearted. Linda and Gwen saw this and they guessed their brother was acting cold again, so they tried to make her smile a bit and it worked.
"So I guess. I'll be expecting a niece or nephew soon. No, I don't want a nephew, I want a niece. A boy would be as stubborn as your husband." Linda said and a blush appeared on her face. Linda saw this gesture and smiled inwardly. Does it mean they've done it? Wow, big brother. You really are not that heartless after all! She commented in her head.
"Wow! So you guys have done it? It's clear on your face so don't lie." Linda said while Gwen just smiled beside her.
Elen just blushed before she spoke again. "No, we haven't done it yet." She said and Linda started to boil in anger. What?! You guys have still not done it?! It almost three weeks and he still hasn't touched you?! Great brother! I take back my words. You're still that heartless brother I know! But what was all the blushing for? Or perhaps, you both have done much more intimate things? Linda was about to speak but Elen beat her to it.
"We almost did it but...." She trailed off. She didn't know if she should be telling them this.
"But what..." Gwen said. They almost did it? Then why didn't they just get done with it?!
"But he stopped at the last minute." She said looking downwards. With just a single glance, Linda and Gwen both knew why he stopped but they still needed to be sure so they asked.
"Why?" Gwen asked. She wanted to know if she already knew about his past. If she already knew about his past and she's still hopefully waiting for him then she's the right one.
