Amir was trying to flirt with Ellie but she was not even giving him attention, this was riling him up to no end!! No girl ever refused him. Isn't he charming enough to attract her?!
Just as he was about to whisper something in her ear. The door flung open and Elen was standing there, she was happy and he could guess that her father agreed...but why did she have to come now, when he was busy with this girl!! Why couldn't she spend time with her parents a little longer.

Ellie's mind had been wandering about, though, her body was still in this same place. She couldn't even notice that the boy beside her had been trying his possible best to flirt with her.
What if her parents don't agree and they throw her out?? She didn't want to go back living in that hell!! Even if they employed her as a maid here, she wouldn't mind, all she knew was that she would be under the protection of the king. She couldn't help but wonder if the king, would allow her stay.. All these thoughts kept running through her mind until Elen opened the door with a happy look on her face.
Did she manage to convince her parents?!! She never thought it would be this easy or this fast!! Ellie held her breath as she was waiting for Elen to speak. Though her expression showed that they agreed to let her stay, she wanted to hear it from her mouth!!
"Did they agree?" Amir asked, he too was curious. He just hoped they agreed but with the glad look on the princess's face, it showed they agreed.
Silence enveloped the room, the atmosphere was getting tense as they waited for her answers.
"Yes!" She finally blurted out.
"Really?!!" Ellie exclaimed and Amir was also rejoicing within himself.
"Thank you princess, you really don't know how this made my day...I don't really mind working as a maid, as long as I'm in the confinement of this castle." Ellie said.
Just as Elen was about to say she won't leave as a maid but as a.....
"You won't be staying here as a maid but as a royalty, I'm going to adopt you as my daughter. You'll live as a princess." Lucid said.
"P-p-princess??!" She blurted out and Elen nodded.
She had just been receiving good news just in one day. How could she possibly live as a princess!! This was just too good to be true! She just hoped this was not a dream, if it was she wasn't willing to wake up.
"Yes, PRINCESS... You're going to be a princess from today henceforth." Elen said.
Emilia came in and was about to give the girl a hug but she halted. As if a realization had struck her.
"Aren't you Lord Arora's daughter?" Emilia asked, almost shocked. When her daughter was explaining to them, she didn't tell them she was a noble's daughter!?
The girl nodded and she gave her a tight hug.
"From today henceforth, you're my daughter now....you even have the same name with the princess." Emilia said.
"You can call her 'Ellie'. Amir butted in, and the queen nodded.
"I didn't take notice... when I saw you, I was thinking where I've seen you before but I brushed the thought off. Your father was a very good man." Lucid said.
"Thank you, Your Majesty."
"You can call me Father....and call her mother, we're your parents now." Lucid said.
They all pulled in together for a warm hug before lucid pulled away.
"Well, I think I'll have to tell everyone in the kingdom that I have a new daughter." He said
"But isn't it too soon?" Ellie asked.
"It's not, daughter." He said, causing Ellie to even smile wider.
They all ate dinner happily, including Amir. He was rejoicing within himself that she was now going to be a royal. 'You're so lucky Amir!' He exclaimed in his mind.
Elen's father told her to go to sleep. She understood and nodded. Her face that was bright moments ago had now turn dark.
She knew what was waiting for her tomorrow and she couldn't escape it even if she wanted to.
She took a deep breath and went to her room, she kissed everyone goodnight and went to bed. Resigning to the fate that awaits her when the sun rises.
