(Dowoon's perspective)
Hyun gave me some good advice, I think.
Kiara and I have been meeting up at the park and my place often, but never came to hers.
My gramps physically can't care about her coming over, the most he does is give an annoyed face when we block the TV, he LOVES his Woo.
.
.
.
He's not doing too hot. He had his first seizure a couple days ago, but he's doing fine now. The doctor that visited our house said that him playing video games and feeding himself is the best thing he can do now, since he can't get up without help, mostly because his legs are weak.
.
.
.
Enough of that, I gotta grow a pair of whatever, just a pair of something.
Rrrrrrr!
It's the end of the day. I'm gonna wait for Kiara to move out of the math building so it doesn't look super desperate, my last period is PE, which is right next to the math building.
I spray myself with deodorant real quick, and cologne too so the sweat smell isn't murderous.
Walking out of the locker room, Kiara is visible in the distance. Then, while approaching,
.
.
.
"Hey!" I say to her.
"Yo! We're gonna be seniors now huh?"
"Yeah that's crazy."
"You're gonna be 20 <19, I hate Korean years> next year!"
"Yeah, starting school when you're seven
"Can't imagine."
"You got any plans today?"
"I was gonna ask Xochitl over to hang out, but Jugyeong had something to say to her and I just decided to text her tomorrow. How about you?"
REMEMBER: PRACTICAL.
"I'm gonna go to the manga cafe a couple blocks from here, wanna come with? I got a huge payout last tourney so I can pay for both of us."
"You never ask me to go anywhere, I ask to read at your place sometimes, but besides talking at the park once every week or two, we never go anywhere... Are you asking me out on a date?"
"What if I am?"
"Why not? You're interesting to hang with. I hate walking, so I'm driving, I know you ain't got jack to drive so hop on the back."
"I'll have a car next year when the death compensation kicks into my account!"
"Get a motorcycle, we go riding together~"
"I dunno-"
"Just come on before I change my mind.... Dummy."
I text Hyun...
"Score!"
(Hyun's perspective)
{Take your rewards and SHUT UP! You haven't spoken yet, but still SHUT UP!}
DPHM has gotten so lazy as of late.
{You try speaking in the exact way that I do, I have to send pop up messages to your retinas, BAKA! It gets annoying having to put all the colons and pluses and numbers.}
"Why aren't you a voice anyway?"
{Because I wouldn't wanna repeat it again because you don't listen.}
"Okay fair."
{It is fair and always will be.}
Well at least Dowoon finally landed himself a date. Speaking of date, I asked my dad if I could take the day off, he said no.
.
.
.
I can't believe on the last day of school my dad made me work. Oh well.
.
.
.
After a few hours waiting a table an hour, Jun and Doja come.
"You know what I want." he said.
"I want the intestine gnocchi thing again." she said.
They had an awkward, embarrassed tone around them.
"Coming right up." I say.
They come like every other week. I guess now, it won't be as annoying.
"Candlelight?" I ask.
"Yeah thanks..." he says.
There was a weird tension that couldn't be completely explained. It wasn't dense, just weird. Guess that's what happens when you lose in a fight to someone you had a childish grudge against.
After that, Jugyeong comes in.
"Hey babe!" she hugs and kisses me after.
"They're cute together." Doja said.
I overheard, but didn't say anything.
"Guess what babe?" Jugyeong asks me.
"What?" I reply.
"I sold all 5 phones, the JS5, and the drill today. Made 4500 bucks." <4.5 million won>
"IN ONE DAY?" I ask.
"A dude in Murica needed some electronics I guess."
"That's pretty good."
"It really is."
"Congrats."
"How much have you sold this week?"
"Like 1000 bucks."
"That's good."
"I have an amazing teacher, that's why."
"When will you quit this job?" she asks me.
"I would have quit last month, but I'm just helping out my dad, not many people want to work the night shift at a restaurant."
"Ah."
"He knows I'm probably gonna be quitting when I get out of high school."
"We only get 5 classes next year!"
"And we got the exact same schedule."
"Yeah, which I'm ECSTATIC about."
We chat a bit more as the last hour of the work day comes upon me, it's Saturday, was a bit less dead than usual, but a dead day is still a dead day.
Sangah didn't work today because she had to go to Finland to see her Great Grandma one last time.
Jugyeong asked her dad if she could sleep over and her dad trusts me (not her) enough to control ourselves. He's at the point in his life when he wants his daughter to get hitched, it sounds weird, but he told me that it's for his sanity.
.
.
.
It makes me blush that I already have his approval. But still got a year left of school left.
{Just get hitched in March after you turn TRULY 18}
"Wow. You're weird."
"Y'all make enough money to live comfortably, put it together, and y'all would live VERY comfortably."
