Chapter 3 - Paid In full

Your application has been granted. You are now a beneficiary of the desert eagles scholarship. We hope that you put this grant to good use.

Yes, I thank you. You don't know how much this means to me.

this grant covers 50% of all expenses we will send all the necessary details in a few minutes.

I said thanks a couple more times and also ask if I can send a thank you essay. He said that wasn't necessary and that I will soon give back; whatever that means.

in about an hour they sent the necessary details that the university would need to finalize all the payments. In all 90% of all my fees expenses, books and other necessities would be covered the other 10% will have to be covered by me but that is not a problem, I have been saving and I have gotten a job to work has a lab assistant at the UWI.

I started messaging my friends that I got a scholarship that will cover me. I wanted to tell the person who sent me the link but decided against it.

The next day I told my foster parents about all the scholarships and they then told me that they had a little something.

Mr Marigold who was half crying and hiding the tears " we have been saving this for you since you started grade 11 we know that one day you would go to university somehow and we tried to save something it's not much but I hope you use it wisely.

They gave me an envelope with some thousand dollar builds; I would have to count that later. I thank them for the cash.

I later went to my room to work on my thank you letters and essays for the chump change the other donors gave me.

by the time I finished, it was about 1 am. I know I shouldn't spend that much time on the pennies they gave but If I don't they won't help next year.

I went to sleep thinking about how in the world I got such a large donation from a stranger

In the morning I started counting the cash my foster parents gave to me. they have managed to save sixty-five thousand five hundred and 50 dollars. this will help to get me off my feet for food for the first month or two.

I think I should be ready.

I went down to the halfway tree to purchase a suitcase and some clothes with the little money I have.

In a couple of weeks, I would be leaving this house to live in a box with a poster-size bed and also use all of my brainpower with 5 hours of sleep and maybe tidy roommates. this sounds like fun
