It was an early Saturday morning.
I woke up in an excellent mood and took a shower to freshen up. After a quick shower, I got dressed in a black hoodie with a jacket over and black joggers.
Once I was ready, I left my house, ready to pick up the rest of the items.
However, after walking out, it didn't take long for me to walk back in. I made my way to my room and opened my drawer. I concealed the gun in my pocket and grabbed my wallet on my desk.
'Silly me. Forgetting my wallet is a rookie mistake.'
With my wallet, phone, and trusty Glock on me, I was ready. For real this time.
Thankfully, my jacket pockets were big enough to fit a whole gun, or I would've had to bring my bag.
I had $2100 to spend on the last things I needed. A laptop, camera, and a phone.
I needed a phone to contact my customers and other big, bad underworld bosses.
Was I rushing to buy it? Maybe. But I was excited and impatient. I doubted I'd have any contacts for a while, yet I wanted to be prepared.
This is why I thought of getting business cards. I didn't make them yet, but I was on the verge. I could already imagine myself, in my cool jester costume, handing out cards to different big named people.
Anyway, after I left my home, I made my way to the camera shop 35 minutes away from me.
I found a closer one, but I saw the prices there and compared them to the farther one. The results were why I chose to go where I'm heading right now.
The cameras were cheaper, and they were on a discount.
After the torturous train ride, I walked a couple of hundred meters and found myself at a camera shop in the middle of other smaller shops.
I opened the doors and the smell of cameras and technology hit my nose. It was a weird smell I could never explain. Like fresh paper and a new book. The smell was addicting.
I stood still for a minute in the middle of the small shop, taking in the unique smell. After a good couple of seconds, I made my way through the aisles.
Before coming here, I knew nothing about cameras and didn't know anyone who knew things about cameras. Which is why I had to use a different way to find a good video camera.
Google has always been my closest friend in the past. Whenever I didn't know something, I knew, google, would give me the answers. And that's how I could find this place.
The camera I was looking for was a Canon PowerShot, SX420. It was listed here for around 400. Expensive, yes. But it was still a lot cheaper than the 650 at the shop I was gonna go to.
I walked back and forth through every aisle. Eventually, after twenty minutes of searching, I found it.
Behind the camera we're also some lenses.
The cheapest one I saw was 180. 'I still have over $2000. Why not spend a bit more on this?'
I picked up the cheapest lens and carried it along with the camera. Walking to the cashier, I placed everything down and waited for the woman to scan the boxes.
In the end, my total came out to almost $500. Which was a lot, considering I chose the cheapest options I could find.
With a smile on my face, I walked with a light step towards the train station with a bag in my hand.
'Let's hope someone tried to rob me.'
I was half-joking and half-serious. I wanted to practice my abilities in fights more.

After a thirty-minute train ride, I arrived at the mall Alessia and I met at.
One of the last things on my list was a laptop.
I still had around $1600 on me and I was ready to spend a little more than I normally would.
Making my way to the tech store, I walked in and went straight to the laptop section. There were so many choices.
They had different shapes, colors, specs. Anything and everything you can imagine, they had.
But all the cool-looking ones cost over $1300. I couldn't possibly spend that much on a laptop when I had other things to buy.
So, like before, I walked through the aisles looking for a cheap laptop.
There were many laptops in the 300-700 range, but most of them were chrome books. And I hated chrome books.
Luckily, after thirty minutes of looking and asking around, I found a laptop for just under $850.
I had already asked if I could stream on it, and they told me I could. So, after making sure I could do all the things I wanted, I bought it.
After paying a hefty sum of $852, I left the store, ready to continue my day.

The next thing on my list was a microphone.
I saw some back when I got the video camera, but the thing is, I just added it to my list. The thought of holding a microphone while dressed in a jester costume seemed cool to me.
I could imagine introducing the fighters with my creepy mask. 'Surely it would get people's attention.'
So, on top of the things I've already ordered, I ran to an electronic shop near my house. Luckily, they had a Bluetooth microphone.
After buying it, it left me with a little less than $700.
So, with my shopping done, I made my way home. My pockets hurt, but I was glad that I could finally start my big plan. It was only a matter of time before I was among the top 1% and even had them under my control.

Once I got home, my parents looked at the bags in my hands. They asked questions like why I got it? Why did I waste so much money? How did I get so much money?
That's when I explained I made more money over the week and sold more boxes. Also, that I recently started new hobbies and wanted a laptop for high school.
In the end, they accepted my answers.
I could've easily hypnotized them, but I didn't want to resort to doing that to the people I love unless it was necessary.
After explaining everything, I ate and went to sleep excited for the voice changer and contacts that will arrive tomorrow.
However, that's when I realized I had forgotten to buy a phone.
