Chereads / Second chance: Hypnosis / Chapter 14 - Start of the plan

Chapter 14 - Start of the plan

Since telling Alessia I didn't have feelings for her, I went back to selling chocolates. However, I went even harder and put in more effort.

I'm just a week I sold three more boxes. Making me another $1200 on top of my $1390. At this moment I was sitting at around $2590.

Which was a lot of money for a 14-year-old.

I have already saved up this much, so I decided that I'll go shopping this weekend. I had enough money for a laptop, a camera, a costume, and a gun. However, I planned on getting most of the things over the weekend.

'Thank god today's Friday. I can finally meet up with the guy today.'

Today was the day I'd finally start purchasing the things I needed. Funnily enough, the first item I would cross off the list would be the gun. The hardest item I thought would be to get. However, if you look hard enough, buying one was incredibly easy.

The two of us spoke and decided on $350. It was a Glock 19, and it came with 20 bullets. Luckily, the man would let me purchase bullets from him when they ran out at a fair price. So I wasn't too worried.

Hopefully, he wasn't an undercover policeman or someone who wanted to fob me. But, with my ability, I wasn't too worried.

The slow day went by, and I was impatiently looking at the clock every ten minutes. We set the meeting for eight, so until then, I wanted to cross off the costume from my list.

Once all those were settled, I have to find a location and make sure it was actually abandoned.

Overall, today would be an exciting and tiring day.

The school bells rang, and I jumped up from my seat and bolted out of my classroom.

I had things to do. Taking my time wasn't an option.

Quickly leaving the school, I made my way to the nearest party country. It was a Halloween store. I already called them to reserve the costume I wanted. All I needed to do was pay and pick it up.

It took me over thirty minutes to get there.

I walked into the store and went over to the counters

"Costume for Damian."

"I got it right here. Give me a sec."

The lady then went to the back and brought the costume to the front.

With a smile on my face, I paid for it and shoved it into my empty bag.

I had already moved most of my cash into my card. The amount of cash on me was only about $400. Which was nothing compared to the $2000 on my card.

The costume I got was a purple and black jester suit. That as well as a white, smiling, clown mask with holes big enough to see my eyes.

It was creepy, but I thought it would make a good underground persona. Plus, it hid my face.

Once I got my costume and left the store, I went over to the empty warehouse I found. The tip from where I was to the location was a bit much. It lasted 45 minutes. So, while on the ride, I made use of the time.

I went on the online shopping app and ordered glow-in-the-dark, cat-like contacts.

After getting there, I had to hop a fence or two. I walked into the warehouse and coughed.

"Sure is dusty."

It was understandable. The place had been abandoned for a while.

I walked around and saw empty iron shelves, chairs, and even some couches. I even saw an empty pizza box.

'Looks like people use this place.'

That wasn't ideal. Having other people have access to the warehouse meant having a bigger chance of being discovered.

'I hope I see them. I'll make sure they won't come here again.'

Before I knew it, it was already eight. I spent the majority of my time sitting on the couch at the warehouse and traveling back to meet with the guy who was going to sell me the gun.

I stood at the drop site with my clown mask on and a black hoodie covering my head.

The drop site was at a park, near the forest. It had an eery feeling that made most people not want to stay long. So, it was a perfect spot to make deals.

Not long after getting there, a man in a ski mask showed up with a backpack on him.

"Are you Jester?"

Yup. That was the codename I went by. I think it suits me well. Especially if I wore my costume.

"Yes. Do you have it?"

My voice was still a little squeaky, and I didn't have a voice changer yet. Because of that, I had to manually make it deeper.

"I got it with me. Do you have the money?"

I nodded my head and took out the $350.

He followed my lead and took off his bag before pulling out a gun case.

The man opened the case and showed the product and the twenty bullets.

We slowly inched closer to one another and traded the items in our hands.

After the deal was done, I put out my hand.

"Pleasure doing business, partner. I hope we'll get along from now on."

"Pleasure. Message me when you need something else."

After the deal, the two of us went our own ways. I put the gun inside my bag and walked home in a joyous mood.

However, once I got closer to my home, I realized a big problem. 'Where am I gonna hide the gun?'

My parents would freak out if they saw me with one.

That's when something came to mind. 'I'll just hypnotize them.'

This power was truly so handy. I could do anything and everything and never be caught.

With a light step, I walked into my house and saw my family watching TV. It was time to hypnotize them to make my life easier.

"Guys. I have something I wanna say."

The three looked into my eyes with a confused look. I activated my power and spoke. "When you see a gun in my drawer. Just know you didn't see one."

The three nodded, and I broke the hypnosis.

I walked into my room and placed the gun inside my drawer. With a wide smile, I walked back outside and sat down with my family.

I told myself I would never hypnotize them, but I gotta do, what I gotta do, to keep my secret.
