Chapter 32 - Glenn's Plan (1)

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The rock dome faced a series of rough slams from the outside. The shadow was trying to penetrate the dome while Gina maintained its integrity to keep them safe.

"What is happening?" Philip asked. "Who was that just now?"

"I'm not sure, but it must be something that wants to possess you," Gina said.

John walked over to her and leaned into her ear to whisper. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Yes," Gina nodded. "One of the Generals of the Dark Lord must've sensed Philip's changed of teams, so they sent a shadow to corrupt him."

"I've only seen this happen in the game once, the sea port arc," Philip said. "When a General wanted to change of heart and another sent a shadow to corrupt her."

"Yes," Gina said. "This is the same case as that."

The slamming continued for a while until Glenn arrived. He launched an all out attack on the shadow, which was heard from the inside.

"Switch!" Glenn yelled. "Circle of Death!"

"Is that Big Brother Healer?" Cecil asked. "We must help him. He might be in trouble."

"We can't," Gina said. "The moment we exit this dome, that shadow is going to take over Philip's body."

Philip scrunched his face in shock. "My body?"

"The Dark has sensed your change of affinity, Philip," John sighed. "They're now here to make you who they want you to be. Especially them."

John pointed at the minions who were sprawled on one side of the dome. Philip understood the dangers of what he might face outside, so he nodded and let them be.

"I'm not the only Baron of Diseases," Philip spoke. "There are hundreds of us."

John and Gina, who even knows what happened in the game of God's Omen, knew nothing about this new world. They wanted to listen to what Philip has to say so they let him talk.

"We are sent to the towns to spread havoc and chaos," Philip continued. "The more destroyed a town would become, the stronger we would get. That's what we were told."

"Who told you?" Gina asked. "The Dark Lord?"

Philip nodded. "He merely shows a giant shadow figure with blood red eyes glowing from the shadow's contrast. The Dark Lord's face has never been seen since the dawn of time."

"And the other Barons," John trailed off as he looked at Philip in the eyes. "Are they willing to do all of these or they're forced to do so just like you?"

"I told you, I'm special," Philip chuckled. "Unlike their minions who eat humans like meals, my minions are soft and kind. They're obedient, and are trustworthy. I am not like the rest of the Barons."

The two Prime Adventurers looked at each other. Philip was indeed a special case from the rest of the Dark Lord's underlings. They even tried to compare him to the Barons on the towns that they were in and it has never occured to them that one was different.

"The room you played your main story," John asked Gina in a low voice. "What was it's name? And was it the one on your profile?"

"Baragdon," Gina replied. "And yes, the room you are sent to after you are registered will be your address, so it's what's written to the profile."

"The room in your profile is the only room you can complete your main storyline and there's a small difference in each town's storyline, right? I saw the forums before," John pursed his lipd. "Mine was Paladis, and the unique one we had was the blue and yellow rain of arrows."

"Baragdon had a male Bow Hunter much like a hundred more rooms," Gina chuckled.

"I read a post in the forum once," John said. "One room had a very unique storyline plot. They said that it was the original plot for God's Omen's main storyline, but I don't know what the room is."

"Unique plot," Gina whispered. "Could it be?"

"Galaron," they both whispered.

"Glenn's main room," John asked. "Did he tell you?"

"Not exactly, no," Gina pursed her lips. "But what does it have to do with anything? If– oh. Unique storyline."

"He knows everything that's going to happen," John facepalmed. "That little man. Even when we're his friends, he tricked us."

Screech!

Glenn smirked as he watched the shadow fade slowly into nothingness. He sighed and placed his hand on the dome. "Everyone, listen up. I will find the Death Lord and end him in his death match. You can just stay here."

The dome slolwy opened and Gina walked out. "Why did you even tricked us?"

"I can't let my friends be in danger," Glenn said. "This world is filled with many more unknown things."

"So, you're just going to leave us?" John asked. "What about protecting this town?"

Glenn threw a book at him and smirked. "This book contains what would happen to Galaron as the story progressed. You just have to follow all of these if you want to keep this town safe."

"Big Brother Healer," Felix walked out of the dome and faced Glenn. "Are you going to abandon us?"

"The place I'm about to go to will be very dangerous," Glenn said. "You stay here and protect everyone, okay? John, Gina, I will leave this to you."

"Glenn, don't be so abrupt," Gina said. "Let's think this through first."

"You don't have to," Glenn said. "I already did."

"Glenn–"

Before they could even stop him, Glenn had already launched himself off of the ground and into the roofs of the houses where he leaped to the wall and exited the town.

"I will protect them!" Patrick yelled. "I will make sure that everyone is safe, so you don't have to worry, Big Brother Healer!"

A smile was formed in his face after he heard the little boy's words. As Glenn landed on the ground that was right by the forest, he clenched his fist where a small key was gripped in his palms.

"Have you been waiting long, Diana?" Glenn asked.

"No," Diana replied. "But I have prepared your seat. You just have to wait until the Death Lord enters the arena."

"Alright," Glenn smiled. "Show me the door."

Diana chanted words under her breath and a cold breeze blew from the trees. A shadow bulged from the ground and created a door right in front of Glenn.

"Use the key you got from the shadow," Diana said. "This will let you enter the Death Lord's den even when you're not part of his court."

Glenn placed the key on the lock and turned it. After he heard the satisfying click, Glenn smirked and opened the door.

"Let's get on with this," Glenn said. "To the Death Lord's arena."
