After the Alpha's outburst Mora just cocked her head watching him as Liam spoke. "She is, but she is a well behaved feral and will not mindlessly slaughter your warriors."
She nearly snarled at Liam's choice of words until her brother stood up. "Mora is my sister and I can vouch she is not like what the stories of ferals perceive them to be. She protects the pack and has never hurt a member unprovoked. She may be more wolf than human but she is still human and not a danger to anyone here unless you try and harm her our anyone from our pack."
Her eyes softened slightly at her brother and it was the most emotion she has ever shown. That was quickly replaced with a hardened look as more shouts of protest and questions began to erupt from the crowd.
Mora could feel her wolf surging forward to fight and protect. She also began feeling caged as everyone began surrounding her. She flashed her canines as they began to corner her. "Ferals need to be killed!"
"How could a pack raise such vicious beast!"
"She doesn't deserve to compete let alone live!"
And many more vulgar comments were thrown her way. Someone tried to grab her but she only flipped them out of the way. Her wolf was begging to slaughter these wolves and Mora was loosing her grip.
"Enough!" Roared a loud and commanding voice.
All the wolves flinched and submitted except for Mora. She was struggling to contain her wolf and the command was not helping. Her eyes connected with two males and one female all still standing tall and regal. The one who shouted was massive and clearly the Alpha. He had light brown hair and brown eyes whereas his female and Luna had blonde hair and blue eyes. Yet neither of them held her attention like the male beside them. He was pure solid muscle and as soon as her red eyes met his green ones her wolf seemed to calm down.
"Let the female go get cleaned up, Alpha's and their Gammas please report to the conference room. Mora I believe," the Alpha stated looking at her and she nodded pulling her eyes from the other male. "Join us once you are presentable. Shaw, my Gamma will escort you to your house and back to ensure no one acts out of line until we resolve this diplomatically."
Her eyes went back to the green eyed male. She shook her head feeling unnerved at the male that calmed her wolf. "No, I will just use the bathroom in my brothers room otherwise you will be waiting a while. Marcus will escort me." She said looking the Alpha in the eye.
Most Alpha's would've been disrespected by that as well as her denying his request but he just nodded. She noticed the Luna looked at her with an odd mixture of awe, hope and sadness. Mora had no idea what those emotions meant but turned and left with her brother.
She was feeling confused and had not realized her brother had been talking. She was going over everything in her head but nothing made sense and her wolf's silence just unnerved her. "I'm serious Mora you can take off and go rogue. I won't hold it against you and I would rather you go rogue and I lose my position than see you dead. Please think about it." He finished as they arrived at his door.
She turned to face him only to snarl seeing a bruise on his cheek. "Who?" She growled and his eyes widened.
"Leave it Mora he got worse than he gave. I'm fine but please shower and change. You can leave out my window if you wish." He told her and her chest rumbled.
"I won't leave you and I will find out who harmed you." She grumbled before storming into his room and shower.
He always kept some spare clothes of hers in his room for situations such as this. She showered and dressed quickly before walking out. Her wolf was now enraged someone dared lay a hand on her brother. He gently grabbed her arm and stopped her from storming into the conference room. "Mora, breath. I am fine and it's already healed. Please you need to remain calm if we have any chance of saving you from death tonight. Luckily the Alpha of The Reaper Pack stopped the mob. He is the top alpha and basically Alpha of Alpha's so his command works on everyone. Well, everyone but you. Please keep calm for me."
Marcus was begging and he never begged. Mora's wolf was not happy but she did not like the pleading tone of his voice nor his desperate facial expression. So she took a deep breath and nodded. They walked in as everyone was yelling still. Liam looked bored whereas the Alpha of the Reaper Pack looked furious but was barely containing it.
"Enough!" He yelled silencing the males once again as she entered. "Mora please come up and tell us about yourself a bit."
She hated following directions and did not like the look his Gamma was giving her so instead she stayed rooted. "My name is Mora Leigh Thorne, I am 22 years old and head warrior and trainer of the Warton Pack. I am a feral wolf and have train since I could walk to control my urges. My brother is the Beta and I will inform you now that if anyone lays a fucking hand on him again I will fucking tear it off."
She flashed her canines and several men gulped. The Alpha just cocked an eyebrow at her but nodded. "What urges do you speak of and how do you control them?" He asked and she looked at him blankly.
"I have days of extreme bloodlust and anger. My wolf constantly battles with me for control most days but I am usually able to contain her. When this happens I will leave to go hunt wild game and rogues to prevent me from injuring an innocent person. I am able to contain her by our protective instinct and remind her we are here to protect our pack." She stated in an even and emotionless tone.
Alpha Bo was intrigued by the feral female but he had an ulterior motive for asking these questions. "Have you ever injured a pack member and if so why?"
"Yes," she stated without hesitation. "I have severally injured three pack members and harmed six others. Half of them was when I was nine and they decided to attack me after years of bullying. My wolf surfaced for the first time and attacked them to protect us. The other four were males who attacked me unprovoked due to me winning spars or taking the head warrior position and one was because he touched me inappropriately without consent. He ended up with several scars along his forearm, chest and dick. I have never attacked a pack member unprovoked."
Many males gulped and cringed. The Gammas hands clenched and he grit his teeth as the Alpha looked shocked and impressed. "Why did the male sexually assault you?" He asked only to received a shrug.
"My answer is only based on speculation but it was more than likely the fact I was stronger than him. He also had yet to find his mate was being pressured for a mate and heir. Me being the strongest female he believed he could subdue me and impregnate and Mark me. Yet again just speculation but you may ask him for yourself." They way she spoke was almost robotic and military like.
She showed no remorse or even empathy. She was also brutally honest which was shocking to all the Males in the room. Alpha Bo furrowed his eyebrows at her as the Gamma seemed to vibrate with barely contained anger. "What do you mean I can ask him? Males accused of sexual assault are banished from packs."
Her next sentences had everyone freezing in shock and the Gamma letting out a roar of anger. "Alpha Liam is the male in question and I did not press charges as his father granted my parents the ability to keep me. He got what he deserved anyway."
Bo barely grabbed his Gamma and commanded him to stand down as he launched for Alpha Liam. Liam was white as a sheet and Tessa looked angry and disgusted. It was a secret only her, Liam, and his father knew. Her brother however was not restrained and punched Liam knocking him over.
"You sick bastard!" He roared as Liam stood up growling back at him.
Before anyone could blink Mora was in front of Marcus snarling at Liam. "Touch him I dare you," her wolf and her were practically wanting him to give them a reason to kill him.
He backed down at her threat and everyone was surprised to see the feral she-wolf so protective of another wolf. She turned and faced Marcus who looked at her with a range of emotions. She stayed standing in between the two knowing Liam wouldn't dare try anything with her there and Marcus could smell her scent which helped calm him and his wolf.
"Any other questions?" She asked looking all the males in the eye.
"Yes, what would happen if someone killed your brother?" An older Alpha asked.
Instantly she snarled, canines flashing and claws extending as she crouched down in an attack position. "You don't want to find out." She snapped and several gulped and nodded.
Alpha Bo once again gained her attention. "No one will harm your brother Mora I promise. Now if we allow you to compete how can we be sure you will not kill anyone?" He asked.
She stood up and retracted her claws cocking her head. "You can't." She said and several people growled. "What I mean is I can stand here and tell you I won't kill your warriors but you won't believe me. Also if your warriors try and kill me I won't hold back from returning the favor. It will be a mutual understanding for everyone involved yet no one can guarantee someone won't cross that line. It is up to you all whether you allow me to participate and make sure those I am competing against know the consequences shall they try and harm myself or any of my pack mates."
Everyone seemed to be on edge with her words. She was not only telling the truth but stating these Alpha's could not promise they wouldn't let their warriors try and kill her nor control them to not kill her. Alpha Bo couldn't help but nod in respect. "Thank you for your honesty Mora. If you wish you can stay while we take a vote on this or you may leave."
Her and her wolf had respect for the Alpha and bowed their head yet again shocking everyone. "Thank you, I shall remain here as I do not trust no harm shall come to my brother."
She was hinting towards Liam who was still angered, embarrassed and nervous. He understood as he called for a vote. "Those in favor of Mora Thorne participating in the Warrior tournament raise your hand."
Mora was not a bit surprised when more than half nearly 2/3 raised their hands. They wanted to prove they could control their warriors and that they were better than a feral female. "Majority rules and Mora will participate. During the beginning ceremony tomorrow morning we will announce that Mora and her pack are not responsible should someone try and kill her or harm anyone from her pack. The same will go for the pack of the attacker and there will be consequences should either seek retribution."
Everyone nodded while several looked angered. They began filling out when Bo asked Mora to remain. Marcus stayed with her knowing he would be staying at her place tonight.
"Mora I do have another question for you. Do you feel anything when you look at my Gamma Shaw?"
She looked into those bright green eyes. They were looking at her with so many emotions she couldn't quite figure then out. "You calm my wolf," she said softly but still lacking emotion as she stared into his eyes.
They widened as did everyone elses in the room. She had to admit he was a good looking male with dark black hair and muscles for days. Her and her wolf could appreciate a good looking male as they did stir the basic instinct to mate. This one however stirred something deeper and she wasn't quite sure what to make of it.
