Chapter 44 - Eighth Prince

Draco was currently falling through the air, more than seventy feet above the ground floor of the Ḥāmin Tower.

Try as he might, Draco was unable to control his momentum!

He was able to do little more than wave his arms around as he rapidly plummeted towards the center of the Ḥāmin Tower.

Unfortunately for Draco, the center of the Tower was occupied by a huge dome!

Seeing the jade-white walls of the dome getting closer and closer to him, he did the only thing he could.

Draco braced himself for impact!

A second later, Draco smashed into the dome with a resounding crash.

Draco had expected to be thrown back and onto the ground below, but he had greatly underestimated his body's newfound durability.

Before Draco could grab onto anything, he had already smashed through the white dome's walls!

Plummeting towards the floor below him, Draco saw that a number of Ḥāmin had instantly noticed his presence.

They looked up and pointed, frantically scrambling to find their weapons and robes.

It must have been quite a sight.

Below Draco was at least a score of Ḥāmin, all training upon rows and rows of workout equipment before being interrupted by Draco's untimely arrival.

Draco didn't know what to do, he couldn't control his fall, and he couldn't find any safe place to land.

Seeing his time run out, Draco simply flipped himself over and braced for another impact.

A moment later Draco could feel his back smash against something metallic and hard, and then all he saw was darkness.

However, this darkness didn't last for long.

Draco snapped back up to his feet, quickly regaining consciousness.

Looking down, Draco saw that he had smashed into a barbell, bending it into the shape of a V.

While Draco was regaining his bearings, he heard the familiar noise of light swords igniting around him.

When Draco looked around he noticed that he was now surrounded!

There were now at least a dozen silent Ḥāmin surrounding him, all with their light swords raised and pointed towards his figure.

This made Draco break into a cold sweat, for he knew that if he made one wrong move he would instantly be turned into a kebab.

Draco gulped, the noise audible in the silence.

He was thinking about how to defuse the situation, but an angry voice could suddenly be heard.

"What is this insolence!?" shouted a young voice from behind the crowd of Ḥāmin.

He stepped forward and Draco became able to see the source of the voice.

It was a young kid, and Draco figured he couldn't have been more than 14 or 15 years old.

The boy wore the signature white robes of the Ḥāmin, but there was one notable difference.

This was because, surprisingly, the boy had a red and white checkered cloth atop his head.

This meant that this child was actually one of the princes of the Khalid Dynasty!

"Who is this Ḥāmin?" the prince asked, pointing at a random white robed figure.

The Ḥāmin just shrugged, obviously not knowing the answer.

The prince was unsatisfied with this answer, and with a snort he pushed himself to the front of the crowd.

"You there! I know not who you are, but you have interrupted my most sacred ceremony!" the boy screamed, his voice cracking at the end.

Draco didn't know what to say to this, so he simply stared speechlessly at the young boy.

The boy seemed to misinterpret this silence though, and said, "I know you Ḥāmin don't speak, so I will not ask you to defend yourself."

He crossed his arms and made a haughty gesture with his head, "For the crime of interrupting my most exalted appointment ceremony, I sentence you to a week in the Ahmar Cage."

When the crowd heard this, Draco could swear he saw the shoulders of several Ḥāmin shudder!

"The Ahmar Cage, what the f*ck?" Draco asked, completely confused.

When the prince heard Draco speak, a disdainful look appeared on his face.

"Hmph, now you abandon your vows of silence? You are from the same ilk as scum." the young prince said with a sneer.

The prince then made a dismissive gesture towards the Ḥāmin next to him.

"You two, take him away." he said, waving his hands.

Hearing the prince's orders, the two Ḥāmin sheathed their light swords with a hiss. They then proceeded to swiftly approach Draco's position.

Seeing this, Draco held up his hands, "Wait up, wait! Surely we can talk about this." he said, even though he knew how futile it was.

Draco knew that the Ḥāmin would absolutely never be swayed after being given a direct order from royalty!

The two Ḥāmin grabbed Draco's arms beneath his robes, each one taking a hold of a different arm.

When they grabbed him it felt like two industrial grade machines had taken hold of him.

Despite his newly enhanced strength and physique, Draco was roughly lifted up into the air, his legs left freely dangling below him.

As Draco was being lifted out, he spotted Sada and Samir running into the dome.

Sada had concern showing in her eyes, and she rushed ahead to stop in front of Draco.

"What are you doing!? Put him down at once!" Sada yelled out.

Hearing her, the two Ḥāmin stopped but did not put Draco down.

Over to the side the young prince saw this, and he stepped forward.

"Who are you?" he asked with an arrogant tone, upset that yet another person was ruining his mood.

"I am Sada Abbas, personal servant of Amira Khalid." she said, equally arrogantly.

When the prince heard this he smiled lightly, "Oh, a servant of third sister?" he said, beginning to walk towards Sada.

"Indeed, your highness." Sada said, lowering her head in a low bow.

The prince smirked, "Interesting." he muttered.

Draco watched as the prince calmly walked up to Sada, and then suddenly lifted his arm up to smack her across the side of her face.

Draco watched with shock as Sada flew over the rows of gym equipment and into the wall of the dome.

Her impact left a large crack in the wall's surface, and a second later she fell from the wall and onto the floor below her.

As this happened Samir stood off to the side, his eyes a mask of fury. Samir's blood boiled, amplified by the fact that he was unable to act in Sada's defense.

After all, the assailant was a member of the royal family!

Samir was unable to move against the prince, for that would be treason in its highest form.

As Draco was being roughly dragged away, and Sada lay writhing on the floor, Samir stood there unable to do anything.

The prince dusted his hands off after seeing Draco be dragged away, nodding his head in satisfaction.

"Let it be known that Asad Khalid, eighth prince of the Khalid Dynasty, does not tolerate insolence." he said, more pompous than if he was the King himself.

He continued "Now then, back to my ceremony! I have finally earned my light sword, and I will allow no one to ruin my moment."

After saying that the prince walked back towards the room he had come from, several Ḥāmin in tow behind him.
