Chapter 45 - Consequences

The eighth prince was currently choosing a hilt to adorn his light sword.

He walked through the rows of options, arrogantly dismissing the ones he didn't like.

The prince continued to walk through the aisles while humming an unknown tune, his Ḥāmin aids following silently behind him.

Meanwhile, Draco was being dragged through the corridors of the Ḥāmin Tower.

The Ḥāmin carrying Draco had disarmed him and then used their movement technique to take him more than ten floors up.

Their golden footsteps had carried Draco more than 100 feet into the air before taking him into a seemingly random hole.

This hole was unsuspecting, and at first it looked exactly the same as the rest of the holes lining the tower's walls.

They crossed through the entrance, and the hole transformed into a long, winding hallway.

This hallway had white walls with a gold trim running along the edges.

As they walked Draco saw a number of metal doors, all labeled with luxuriously gilded gold numbers.

They walked for several minutes down the hallway, before stopping at a door labeled, "227".

One of the Ḥāmin typed something into a control panel next to the door, causing it to slide open.

The Ḥāmin then set Draco down in front of the door, and backed away.

Seeing the pitying look in their eyes, Draco sighed to himself.

"Alright, alright." he grumbled, stepping into the door.

'At least they showed me the courtesy of not tossing me through the doorway.' Draco thought.

Once he was inside the room the door closed behind him.

Draco then took a moment to survey the room's surroundings.

He observed that the room was small, to say the least. It was only furnished with a small cot, a sink, and a toilet.

Everything in the room was an illustrious white—Draco could even see his own reflection looking back at him on the walls.

'This is just a shiny prison cell!' he thought, his eye twitching.

On the other side of the room a large, circular window was built into the wall.

Walking up to it, Draco was stupefied by what he saw.

This was because outside of Draco's window was a horrific sight.

Stacked atop each other, in endless rows, stood something that reminded him of the shelves in a grocery store.

Except, instead of boxes, each of these shelves held an uncountable number of cells!

When Draco looked closer he saw that most of the cells were occupied.

The residents of these cells paced about randomly, or stared blankly out of their windows.

Some had the telltale robes of the Ḥāmin, while others wore more common clothes.

Some of these imprisoned people were in obvious distress. Draco spotted a few prisoners rolling around on the floor, while others smeared blood and feces on the wall.

Seeing this, Draco looked away with disgust.

He stepped back from the window, sitting down on his cot. He winced as he felt the hard metal beneath the thin mattress on his rear.

'This thing might as well be concrete.' Draco thought to himself, not pleased with his 'room'.

He then began surveying the room in an attempt to spot anything he missed.

However, after a long while he gave up.

'There's absolutely no way I'm getting out of here.' he finally thought.

Draco was just starting to wonder what to do next, when his room started to suddenly vibrate.

To his surprise, when he looked outside he saw that his surroundings appeared to be moving!

Draco rushed back to the window, trying to comprehend what was happening.

Upon looking out the window he figured out what must've been the source of the disturbance.

A number of other cells also seemed to be moving, and when he looked closer he saw that they were being carried by long, robotic claws.

The claws looked like they were straight from an arcade machine.

A claw reached down from the darkness above to grab each cell, quickly taking them through unknown passageways.

As Draco continued to watch, he saw his cell being lifted towards one of these passages.

Helpless to do anything, Draco grumbled internally as he was dragged through a passageway like the rest of the cells.

'I'm starting to really despise this royal family.' Draco thought to himself, wishing he could just reach out and wring the little prince's neck.

Once the claw had carried him into the passage, darkness enveloped Draco's cell.

Draco looked around, trying to find anything of interest, but to his dismay everything was black.

This darkness continued on for several minutes.

However, just when Draco was about to sit back down on his cot, his environment changed!

The room was plunged into red light, and his entire cell took on a blood red appearance. Something also appeared on his window, causing Draco to quickly back away in shock.

This was because his window now held several words, all with red and bold lettering.

The text simply read, "Ahmar Imminent", and nothing else. Draco watched the words, uncomprehending their meaning.

'Ahmar? Earlier that little jit said I was being sent to the Ahmar Chamber, this must be what it is.' he scratched his chin, 'Honestly, I was expecting more.' he thought, smirking to himself.

However, Draco gravely misunderstood the situation. Ahmar was an ancient word in these lands, and if anyone were around to tell him he would understand the true purpose of this part of the Ḥāmin Tower.

This was because Ahmar meant blood.

The text on the window reading, 'Ahmar Imminent' suddenly started flashing. This flashing gradually sped up, and eventually the text was blinking rapidly.

This put Draco on edge, causing him to put his guard up. He was unsure of what was going to happen next, but in the end that didn't matter.

Before Draco could even formulate a plan, the cell's window abruptly snapped shut!

CLANG

The flashing text suddenly disappeared, and a metal sheet closed into place over the window.

The cell had also ceased its movement, and Draco could tell that the cell was now stationary somewhere.

Draco didn't have to wait long though, for his room's door promptly slid open.

Draco cautiously approached the door and carefully peeked outside, noticing that he was now at the end of a long hallway.

The hallway had shiny red walls, and a strong scent of copper.

Stepping outside, he realized that the hallway's walls were actually white but lit by the same red lights in his room.

Seeing no other option, Draco slowly proceeded down the hallway.

As Draco walked, he realized that he was rather calm despite the creeping sensation that tingled behind his neck.

Eventually, Draco reached the end of the hallway.

Upon reaching the end Draco was surprised to find that there was no door, or much of anything at all.

He approached the wall that was now in front of him, probing it for secrets.

However, as he was doing this a loud voice suddenly resounded from a hidden speaker.

The voice was robotic, and so loud that it initially caused Draco to jump.

"INITIATING AHMAR # 2 - 2 - 7." the voice droned, giving Draco an ominous feeling.

Shortly following this, the wall simply vanished.

It didn't slide away, move, or anything. It was just there one moment, and in the next it wasn't.

This caused the hairs on the back of Draco's neck to stand up, and he shuddered involuntarily. He couldn't help it, for everything he had just been through was way too uncanny!

Draco looked through the opening, but he couldn't see anything. Ahead of him was only darkness.

Seeing he had no other option, Draco cautiously stepped forward.

Except, just as Draco passed through the entranceway, a wave of pressure abruptly passed over him.

Draco then helplessly watched as his robes started instantaneously disintegrating into dust.

He held out his hands in alarm, but was only able to catch piles of ashes that blew away with his movements. Looking down, Draco cursed to himself, noticing that not even his boxers were left intact!

If anyone were looking, they would also see that the cool air against his prized jewels did little to diminish his length's impressive size.

Draco shook his head, 'I don't have anything to be ashamed of, but this is simply inhuman.' he thought to himself, stepping into the dark chamber.

Once Draco was inside the chamber he strained to see anything, but was completely unable to.

Suddenly, without notice, bright lights erupted the room into whiteness.

The effect was like a flashbang on Draco's eyes, and he recoiled from the light.

When his eyes started to refocus, he saw that he was in a vast chamber.

The place had a ceiling that stood at least 100 feet high, and pristine white walls that stretched hundreds of feet outwards.

Horrifyingly enough, blood was splattered all across the chamber. It dotted the floors everywhere, giving the floor's white tiles the appearance of a modern-art project.

Surprisingly, this wasn't enough to put Draco more on edge than he already was. However, the figure that he had now noticed standing on the other side of the chamber did!

The man was naked to the bone, and fidgeting uncontrollably.

More concerningly, the man was looking straight at him, his eyes now locked onto his own.
