The pirate man and the boy stood on a swampy dock with lots of ships by it. Men climbed up and down the ships with chests and barrels, The ship's were huge enough to carry all the people from a village.
People without caring about getting dirty with the green mud and rotten plants they kept working and labouring. The boy looked around and dozens of men and women in worn and torn clothes, tied to chains making a line as a few men in long thick red coats whipped their way into them.
"Hey pirate you neva' tol' me yo' name."
"Graywood, Call me Gray."
"Ight gray, so why are the people over there getting whipped?"
"they are slaves."
"Aah, that so?"
"If I didn't pick ya you would have been over there by now."
"Well, thank you then."
The boy said with a sarcastic tone and gray smiled.
The man started walking and pulled the boy and he went along.
The man took the boy to a large piece of wood plank laying on the swampy area. The plank was filled with moss and fungi and small mushrooms could be seen rising. The man stepped on the plank and sat on it and so did the boy.
"Now we wait."
Said the man as he stretched his hand towards his back and pulled out an object.
It was a semi-sphere with a long piece of wood attached to it and on the end of the long piece of wood was a few strings to the end of the semi-sphere.
The boy looked at the instrument with shining curious eyes.
"It's a Mandolin eh, it's a musical instrument."
The boy didn't seem to listen to what the man was saying until he played a string with his brown thumb that had a long nail and dirt filling the insides.
The man played a melody touching the heart of the boy. Every note the man played the boy felt it in his heart. There were few that he felt more and few that he barely felt.
the man then started singing.
Sail we sail the ship
Far beyond the world we go
Not a thing to stop us we sail we sail and sail and sail
~
We kill we betray
We are killed we are betrayed
We are free
We are freedom
~
Cap'n our great
Lead us the way
We follow till our death."
Sang the man
"Done already? Old man?"
the boy sulked.
"What already? it's been an hour, dumbass and look there our ship has arrived."
The boy quickly turned his head towards the waters.
But it turns out nothing changed but the sky, there were the same ships and different people.
"Not there Yin.... look over there"
Gray raised his hand and pointed it towards the huge orange sun and from the middle came a huge ship.
It had huge red sails and a deep black broad deck. It sailed from the sun towards the swamp as if it was the queen of the sea. The tall sails made it look like a proud ship sailing with the power of thousands of ships.
And something that gray kept starting at with a broad smile was the black moon on the red sails.
As they stared at the majestic ship sail towards them a man in a red coat shouted.
"IS THAT THE MOON'S BLOOD"
A man in the crowd shouted and there was a moment of silence as everyone looked at the sun's direction
as the silence disappeared every man and woman started to run and flames of scream could be heard.
Few just stood there, few ran with their life.
even the men in red coats started to run after they saw the ship leaving slaves there. As the slaves tried to run they tripped and fell because of the chains they were tied to.
Unable to run they sat in a muddy area silently covered in mud.
The ship almost reached the land when a splashing sound in the waters. It was the anchor that was thrown into the waters the stop the ship.
From the ship jumped of a dozens of men but one man seem to have a presence on all of them.
Everyone made way for the man to get in the front.
On the land Gray and Yin saw them and gray stood up on the plank and started walking and so did Yin
The man in front of the men stopped and so did gray in front of each other.
Luc stared the man in front he wore a hat and wore long brown coat but something that disturbed luc was the missing leg of the man that was replaced by a piece of wood. The man wore a black eye patch same as gray, He also wore a black triangle leather hat.
They both stared at eachother for few moments.
"Cap'n"
gray said with a tone of respect.
"Graywood...Did ya' get what mi' asked ya' fo?"
The man asked. He had a deep voice and a strong presence.
"Aye....Cap'n. We almost there."
With a wishpering tone he said.
"I see. who's that? wuz ya 'ame boy?"
The man said as he stared at luc with a curious eye.
"Mi' dunno' yet sire, there are millions possibilities."
The man beside luc said as even he stared at the him.
"Yin."
he threw those words at the man in front.
"...."
"...."
silence fell
"Quite a proud Bastard aren't ya'?"
The man in front said as his face went from curious to dull.
The man in front turned and so did the other dozens of men and started to walk towards the ship. When they reached the ship the man inn front pointed at the slaves covered in mud and all of the men started to walk towards it.
"Oh boy.. Why did you say it like that? Even a slight arrogance in front of him can cost you your life."
Gray said looking worried.
Yin still frightened from what just happened because when the man's expression became grim Yin felt frightened of him and got so scared he couldn't even manage to hide his fear and froze in front of him.
Gray started walking but Yin couldn't and gray saw that so he grabbed luc's hand and pulled him.
And when they were infront of the ship the dozens of people brought the slaves in front of them. The slaves were silent and did whatever the men behind them asked.
One of the slaves covered in mud noticed luc and shouted.
"Son?..is that you? oh my son."
the slave said with a shook voice.
Yin immediately recognised the voice.
"Maa?"
Yin whispered but no one heard and so Yin ignored the slave. Gray turned and asked if he knew the slave but Yin denied the fact that slave was his mother.
Gray also got a rough idea why Yin couldn't find his mother and understood that it was his mother.
the men carrying the slaves pushed them and the the Slave kept screaming but Yin ignored it. He got a heavy heart but that couldn't stop him from pretending that the slave is not his mother.
