Chapter 1 - THE FIRST-EVER BREAK-UP

•DAMIAN'S POV•

I freaking punched somebody, not only someone but my roommate who was no one other than one of my best friends, Noah Gabriel.

Well, I think I should say ex-roommate and friend Now.

The moment I punched him and saw, his nose bleeding like hell, I felt bad for a mare second for him but then again I remembered what a Lying, Bastard he is, and that mare thought was enough for me to overwhelm with anger and throw another powerful Punch square on his nose as he stumbled back.

The only thing running in my mind was what I just saw.

He is in bed with my girlfriend, Maria Dylan, Or now my Ex-girlfriend.

We had been dating for a few months now and She was the one who approached me but I trusted her with everything even after listening to a lot of bullshit about her every day in college. I saw her with Noah several times but I always thought that they were friends but now When I've seen it with my eyes that they are not just friends I want to laugh at myself badly for making a fool out of myself.

"It's over," My jaws clenched as I stated looking dead into the eyes of the girl standing right in front of me. The girl whom I underestimated.

"Hey, Listen Ian. Let me explain." She tried to grab my hand which I jerked away immediately suddenly feeling disgusted by her touch.

"Save it!" I clenched my hands on both sides trying my best to control the anger and took a few steps back wanting to get as far away from them as I could.

"Ian, Please." She whispered again.

"Don't you dare to call me Ian. You're no one to call me that." I feel the anger shooting through my veins.

"Dam-" Noah began and I immediately interrupted him, not wanting to hear my name from his mouth.

"And YOU!!! I want you out of my apartment right now." I growled at my dickhead of a Roommate before rushing out of the apartment leaving them behind.

I don't know why but instead of feeling heartbroken and sad, I'm angry. So angry that I want to… I don't know what would I do if I lose my control. The only thing which pissed me off was that she could have told me that she is not into me anymore or anything but not this. Maybe deep down in my heart, I was expecting this to happen one day. Maybe deep down I was ready to face this and that is the reason why I was not feeling heartbroken but angry.

Apart from being a cheater, Maria was beautiful, caring, and loving but despite of every good thing in her I never for once found myself thinking about my future with her even it was all too early to think about these things but It's true when you find someone you love with all of your heart to think about living your life with them until the end.

Maybe the thing between us was just an attraction, not Love, and little did we all know that everyone in this world is looking for love, So I am.

But the worst part of all of this is that it was Noah who betrayed me. Never in my life, I thought that Noah will ever do something like this. We were on the football team together, we went on trips together. We have been living together for more than three years.

It proves that the saddest thing about betrayal is not how you got betrayed but by who.

The only thing which I can do right now is to let things go. Those who are worth being in my life will stay with me and those who are showing their true colors were never worth being in my life.

I stopped walking and took a few deep breaths before I jerked out of my thoughts when someone practically jumped on my back catching me off guard and I already know who is this.

Mentally Retarded person aka My Best friend, Alvis Hart.

"What on the earth do you think you're doing." I sigh.

"I'm wondering what got you in this… shitty mood.?" He amused.

"You can still wonder while being right there on the ground." I shook my body to get rid of this annoying sloth.

"Okay, that makes sense." He got off quickly and come to stand beside me before wiggling his eyebrows waiting for my answers and I just rolled my eye.

"What? I'm serious!!" he gasped dramatically making me shake my head.

"You? And serious?" I raised my eyebrows looking at him intendedly.

"Yes, sometimes when needed." He grinned like an idiot making me suppress my smile too it's not the right time to smile, I was burning with anger a few minutes ago.

"So back to the point. What happened?" He questioned in a serious tone this time.

"I broke up with Maria." I sigh as we both started walking towards the football ground for practice. It's just a few streets away from my apartment which makes it easier for me to walk there.

When I found no response from him so I lift my head and look at him and the same moment he burst into laughter.

What the…

Okay, no swearing.

"Dude, Seriously?" I asked with my wide eyes. This guy who calls himself my best is freaking laughing at my first breakup.

"Screw you!" I gave him the brightest fake smile and he started laughing even louder throwing his head back making me roll my eyes.

"Bro, we all saw that coming." He said in between his laugh.

"I caught her cheating on me," I state in a soft voice and his laughter seized.

"With whom?"

"With Noah."

He abruptly stopped walking and looked at me, waiting for me to laugh or something?

"I'm serious," I confirm.

" I'll kill that bastard." He turned around to go back into the apartment but I immediately grabbed him from his arm before he could take any more steps.

"Alvis No!! Let it be! What's done is done. We can't do anything about it." I said trying my best to control him.

Shouldn't he be the one controlling me?

Why everything is always opposite in my case.

"But Ian-"

"No Buts, let's just forget about it. I just want to get over it." I sigh.

"But If I ever see him again, he's screwed." He hissed with his jaw clenched.

"Of course, he is," I smirk at him gaining one in return. Al is annoying as hell but he's my best friend. I don't even remember how long we have known each other. And during all of this time, there was not even a single moment when I needed him and he was not there. In Short, he's always there to annoy the shit out of me.
